- MACKLI0 contributionsLoved itGreat trip, definitely worth a try if you like nature! The guide, he was very informative so weren’t board on the way through the rain forest. The mount wellington view was the best and the Russell fall view!Written October 1, 2024
- MinibearX0 contributionsEnjoyable day tripI booked the day trip of Port Arthur and Tasmania Devil from Hobart on Tours Tasmania’s website. It was a good day trip. Our trip guide Heather was friendly and informative. My hotel pick up was 720AM and the van was on time. It was a small group of 9. There were different options people took. Heather made sure she looked after different needs of the group. The trip started with an easy hike with beautiful ocean view, the Unzoo to see Devil deeding. Got to Port Arthur in the afternoon, and short stop at Richmond on the way back. Returned Hobart about 530ish. The small and friendly group atmosphere was great. I enjoyed the trip. Just wish I had more time at Port Arthur.Written September 22, 2024
- bretto9890 contributionsAmazing and inspiringAn amazing day on Bruny Island. Our guide Nick was very knowledgeable and very entertaining. He new the perfect order to see things in, which ended with us having most of the attractions to just our small group. Highly recommend Tours Tasmania. It was a big day but an awesome day, thankyou.Written September 20, 2024
- traveller54840 contributionsUnzoo is a must visitWe loved our time with the animals at the Unzoo! Up close interactions with the kangaroos and wallabies as well as the parrots and birds were a highlight. Port Arthur was interesting from a historical aspect. Would recommend to get the audio for the self directed tour. It is a walk to get around. Be prepared for the weather ( there was an hour or so down pour) Richmond is quaint town but nothing really to see. Just enough time to enjoy a glass of wine/ beer and treatWritten September 12, 2024
- Danette M0 contributionsBest way to spend a day in Hobart!David our tour guide was incredible. He was very knowledgeable about Hobart, the national parks, Tasmania, and the history of the places we visited. He gave lots of information, fun stories, and was very kind and consistent about checking in on us. We got to see a lot of cool things and it is a great way to see and learn about a lot in one day trip.Written August 14, 2024
- A6608UZemmab0 contributionsFantastic tripGreat little trip outside of Hobart, perfect for anyone that doesn't have a vehicle to get around or if you don't fancy driving. Ben was absolutely amazing, very knowledgeable and you can tell he loves his job !! Plenty of downtime to explore and a day full of activities.. the wineglass bay beach is an absolute must, there is a lot of steps on the way back up but it's worth every second. Beautiful views at the winery after and food to celebrate all our hard work. 10/10 would recommendWritten August 8, 2024
- 657heidia0 contributionsFun day out!The tour guide, Ben, was very informative and enthusiastic and always looked out for everyone in the group! We went on a beautiful walk around mount field (about 10k but with lots of breaks) easy track with lots of scenery. About 200 stairs at the end though, just to be warned. Animal sanctuary and mount wellington also a great experience! Would deffo recommend :)Written July 11, 2024

- EuropeanTraveler12340 contributionsThey openly will treat you as second grade customer, don't book with company!Do not book by any means with this company, as they are not only not ashamed to treat you as second grade customer, but also not ashamed to say it openly and put it into writing! Never seen such rude and condescending communication. When I asked for a certain hotel pick up (that was advertised by both the agency and themselves) they did not want to pick me up there and gave me alternatives that require walking 20 to 30 minutes with 20kg luggage. Even though their eticket also stated a hotel pick up, and I chose the hotels from a list they say they stop at in all their advertisement (also the selling agency told me I could). Furthermore, while by car or bus it is only a few minutes (and at 6am off seasons the traffic isn’t the issue), it was a 20/30 minute walk (and I am staying at a pretty central location, near CBD). Even a one time request to pick me up one day you need to travel with luggage (20kg) they did not want help out, despite all the advertisement. They (literally) said that their "First priority always goes to guests who book directly with us", this is a literal quote. So, despite paying full price and doing the tour they think it is normal to treat client as second grade clients. The travel agency was also very shocked when they saw the email. They also tried to blame me for it. Stated that I was late my booking (6 days prior the tour start). Sure, that is not very early, but if you can’t keep your advertised promises, just don’t sell that tour. If six days is not enough for you to make the promised arrangements, you should be honest about it it and not sell it. Furthermore, their communication was condescending. Warning me basically to not take any luggage with me on other days, in capitals written. Although I asked to bring luggage on another day, they could have politely declined it, and there was no need for this condescending tone of voice. The condescending tone of voice was clearly noticeable in all communication. All was by email, because I tried calling them multiple times, but was redirected to the voicemail every time, including during their business hours. I have, in a polite way, pointed out that I was surprised my their communication and that it was not in line with their advertisement, as these levels of unprofessional behavior are unprecedented. However, instead of a apology or any kind of deescalation of their bad behavior, they pretended to give me “the official” answer, that they don’t pick up clients that booked you big international sites, despite me booking it through a smaller Australian business. They also said that I should take it of leave it, when they know that 2 days prior on an island it is hard to find alternatives. Obviously, I did not want to go on any tour where I will be treated as a second grade customer (while paying the full price and booking the exact same tours as some other guests)! They offered me a refund, which is good. So, apparently, their management approves of this behavior instead of apologizing for the rude communications, but I guess they’re not mature to admit the mistakes they made! So, yes, I got my money back, but they ruined your travel plans last minute and are beyond rude, without any form of self reflection! Don’t ever book with this company! Watch out for them, they also don’t put any listing on google maps, probably to avoid honest customer reviews!Written May 29, 2024
- CatherineH19960 contributionsCancelled booking - money lost!! why???At no stage was any mention made that I would lose my money should I have to change my dates. Very disappointed. I'm sure that this is illegalWritten May 24, 2024

- U8184IGkathleena0 contributionsHike and take in the amazing viewsThis was a great full day trip to see Freycinet National Park. Trek between The Hazards to the Wineglass Bay lookout, have lunch at Honeymoon Bay, visit the lighthouse and stop for wine & food at Devils Corner winery. Nick was a great tour guide, very knowledgeable and did the hike with us.Written May 7, 2024
- U8184IGkathleena0 contributionsGreat day tourEnjoyed the clifftop walk to Tasman Arch, lots of beautiful photos to take. Unzoo is small, worth going to the keeper talk’s especially Tasmanian Devil & Bird feeding. Rained at Port Arthur but strolled around the well looked after grounds. Quick stop in Richmond, enough to get a drink & snack.Written May 3, 2024
- T8133DQsharonh0 contributionsDevils, rainforests and mountain peaksWe had to the best tour of Hobart with Ian. We went to really great places like the animal sanctuary and Mount Field. I will say that Mount Field wore me down but we did get to see quite a few padymelons having breakfast which was so cool!!!! Ian was great. He was engaging, enthusiastic and plays the BEST music! This tour was the first we took on our trip to Australia and we commented on each tour after how much better it would be with Ian navigating. Sharon and ScottWritten April 29, 2024
- 654kareng0 contributionsSo much wildlife, excellent guide.Heather is an excellent guide. Knowledgeable and enthusiastic. The island is like an ark for native animals. Wonderful experience seeing many wombats, pademelons, bandicoots, cape barren geese and green parrots. This is what I came to see. For others with different preferences there is the historical side which is well preserved. Great experience.Written April 24, 2024

A very long bus drive which was broken up by a waste of time 20 min stop at Huonville at the start of the day which could have been added to time spent at the spots you paid money to go to.
Tahune has nowhere near recovered from the 2019 bushfires so the vegetation was sparse and the airwalk very disappointing. I would advise people not to bother going there for some years. Insufficient time spent at location to enable all activities to be completed.
The Hastings cases was a good tour with an informative guide, The Thermal Pool is average considering the thermal pool is basically a heated pool. The short walk from the pool was ok but nothing special.
Long drive back to Hobart was broken by the driver stopping to buy some apples whilst indicating you would not be able to take them home with you due to border restrictions but indicated perhaps someone could buy a bag for everyone to share. Perhaps the tour company could fork out the measly $3 a bag to facilitate such an option.
Other issues was it was the only time in our week in Hobart that we had to wear masks.

An amazing experience all round! We were the only couple on the tour and despite the company likely losing money by only taking us around they still did and treated us like a full group. Trevor (I hope I’m remembering his name correctly) our tour guide, was amazing. He was very knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and a safe driver. We ended up leaving knowing a lot more about Tasmania’s native flora, caves, and hot springs and had many awesome photos as memories. I can definitely recommend this to others who are on the fence about going, and am grateful to Tours Tasmania for such a great day out.

This tour was an unexpected day in Tasmania (booked just two days before). Huw was an energetic and informative guide with a great sense of humor. The caves were spectacular and the air walk was a fun adventure! Huw kept us engaged with local history and practical information about Tasmania. He clearly loves his home! It was a fine way to spend a day outside of Hobart.

My partner and I have been to a lot of caves in our time and we rate this one quite highly with well formed stalactites and some stalagmites. Yes this is a long trip from Hobart but is broken up with the sky walk and a lunch stop before the caves. Our guide was very informative and friendly. I rate this as a must do if you like caves.

It was a long day and lots of driving but well worth it. I have some mobility issues and chose not to do the sky walk but still had a lovely walk down the the river and a very nice coffee at the information centre.
My adult nieces did do the walks and said that they were fantastic. Nicholas the guide was very knowledgeable and looked after us well, except for feeding us pepper berries lol.
The Hasting caves were what I came for and they were excellent. The tour guide was so patient with me and even got me out a chair to sit for a minute mid cave tour, so lovely of her.
Such a beautiful cave system well worth all the steps.

This was an excellent full day tour of three great events. It's a fairly long drive to the Huon Valley through Kingston but very lovely, lots to see. Keep in mind that the Skywalk is about a 2 hour walk on this tour and that there is a lot of steps. You need to be fairly fit and a regular walker. It was a brisk walk but you don't have to do all of it , you could sit in the cozy kiosk and enjoy bush views or just do a short walk and go up to the canterlever part. There are also two suspension bridges as well and the skywalk is very high up. All very safe.
The thermal pool is a fun swim. 28 degrees, so warm in but cold underfoot. Very hot showers when changing and open fires for warming up, great fun. Be brave!
The Caves are close by and magnificent. Lots of steps but absolutely worth the trip. Very safe and talented tour guide.
A really fun active day, we'll worth the money. Take a packed lunch and plenty of nibbles. 😁

A 35 minute drive inland from Geeveston brings you to the Tahune Air Walk and other adventures. We started with the Airwalk that takes you across the treetops ending with a Cantilever hanging out towards the Huon River for a lovely view, even on a rainy day and with the cantilever moving it's well worth a visit. Can also recommend the Swinging Bridges Walk and Huon Pine Walk.

This is such a fantastic place to visit. It is so well worth the drive. The staff are so welcoming and helpful. I was unable to walk the 100 steps to the entrance and then 70 steps back. So, one of the staff drove me to the entrance on the buggy. The walk was so wonderful, and it is elevated so high from the ground. The different vantage points are so great, and they offer unforgettable panoramic views. Well worth the entrance fee. I would highly recommend this to anyone.

We have a six year old child who is quite energetic. Are we allowed to bring her on the tour or is it strictly 8 years and above only? thanks.
