We were a family of 8 adults and 2 kids celebrating our Pisces birthday month. It was such fun and the boat seating allowed great interaction between all. We had a deluxe/premium drink package that was fairly priced and brought our own platters. The instruction to steer etc was professional and life jackets supplied for the kiddies. We had such fun and it was so good to see our beautiful city via the Torrens.

A great way to celebrate a birthday. The engine is a bit noisy and has fumes, so it is nice to switch it off while relaxing over a bbq lunch. Very enjoyable and would recommend it.

We enjoyed the relaxing time, cruising along the Torrens River, we were celebrating our 50th Wedding Anniversary. Jamie and Kelly were very good with explaining the workings of the boat, very friendly staff.

This was such fun! We had six family members on board, four from OS, and we loved our experience! Gently cruising along the Torrens with magnificent views of Adelaide from a different perspective. The providers were friendly and safety conscious. We ordered drinks to share on board and all requirements were covered by the team; right down to a complimentary bottle opener. We brought platters; would recommend this as opposed to BBQing as full attention can be given to the surroundings and experience. Make sure to look out for the flying foxes past KW Bridge near the zoo. Highly recommend this activity to anyone. Thanks BBQ BOUYS!

I booked the BBQ buoy for a work team lunch with some interstate travellers as I wanted to showcase our beautiful city, support a local tourism operator, and have some fun. The forecast 24 hours out from our event suggested a low chance of rain (so we didn’t take advantage of the free cancellation) but unfortunately on the day when we arrived for our trip, the rain was coming in sideways, the boat chairs, BBQ and settings were all saturated, and our team made the decision it would neither be fun or safe to head out. The site based staff member agreed that the rain was likely to continue for at least the first part of our trip based on the grey clouds and outlook. More unfortunate was the fact that we were unable to get any form of refund – as the owner (who was not onsite) was convinced the rain would soon stop and we could simply head out in the rain and still have fun! There was no flexibility to even receive a partial refund so that her staff costs were covered – it was simply a matter of heading out in the pouring rain and get wet – or forfeit the entire cost of the trip ($300). This seems neither reasonable nor fair – but as their owner was very quick to point out, it is covered in their T&Cs – so it is a matter of buyer beware. I have no doubt the attraction is a fun way to spend a few hours on a nice day which we were looking forward to – but please be aware of the fine print and inflexible nature of the operator before you book – and if there is ANY chance of rain or high winds on the horizon, I would recommend you consider an alternative local attraction.

A fun activity to do in Adelaide, highly recommend! Staff were lovely and checked in every so often. Great fun 🙂

We had the picnic option for 10 today, being 10th Dec. Was a nice day and afternoon, very professional I thought with the training before to drive the boat. Enough food and drink. Reasonably priced nice afternoon with friends

We had a birthday party for our 13 year old with her friends. It was a fun party - teenagers enjoying bbq food and listening to the music while chatting away …. . I was driving the boat, no experience needed. It was a very relaxing ride . But I am glad I brought my elder daughter along so she can look after the BBQ while I focus on driving the boat . The scenery along the river is great, and with ducks / birds in the river, it was actually a very enjoyable ride. The staffs there on the day were extremely helpful. I think I will definitely do that again.

What a blast!! A perfect way to spend time with family or friends. The night booking was perfect as we got to see the river and the banks from a different perspective. The lights reflecting on the river was just beautiful. We did the BBQ, but next time i would just do the picky platter.

We had a great afternoon with BBQ Buoys catering for our group of 38. Everyone had a great afternoon, the buoys were very clean and well catered for and when we needed to swap out some of the drinks from our drink package mid way through our booking, that was no problem. So much fun, laughter and food. Definately be back with our families

We did the 2 hour BBQ cruise with 3 other couples, total of 8 of us. Very comfortable sitting in the boat and easy with the bbq in the middle. Our drinks were pre ordered and all organized for when we arrived. Staff were friendly and quickly ran through all the details for steering, safety etc. We all really enjoyed the cruise. A great way to do something different and get out about and enjoy beautiful Adelaide. Would highly recommend to friends to do.

The whole experience was great. The girl that greeted us was friendly and very helpful. The food was good and the wine. The setting was beautiful we were followed by swans and ducks one duck even flew on the boat. It was a lovely relaxing fun day. WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT.

After having to put our original booking on hold due to bad weather in February, we had no issues re organising another night. Had the perfect night out, 7pm - 9pm.. we opted to take a roast chook and salads on our night out, we ordered a few drinks, on arrival everything was clean and ready to go departure was quick and easy , staff were friendly and helpful. What a relaxing beautiful way to see the city lights, do your self a favour grab some freinds and book a BBQ Bouy. 5 ***** from us

What could be better than a 2 hour, sunset cruise along the River Torrens during Mad March? My family and I had the best night being tourists in our own backyard. We experienced the River from a view we had never seen before. Perfect weather, pefect views, the city lights reflected in the River, tunes on the Bluetooth speakers, a few bevvies and a BBQ. Thoroughly enjoyable experience that i would recommend to both tourists to our city and to us locals. The staff were friendly and the whole booking process was easy. Thanks BBQ Bouys.

Had a fabulous time cruising the Torrens. Excellent service. Fabulous platter. Easy to order drinks etc beforehand. Would definitely do again. Great fun
