The redeveloped Adelaide Oval offers a unique blend of new and old, carefully integrating the latest in stadium design with famous features such as the heritage scoreboard, century-old Moreton Bay Fig trees, the grassed northern mound and more. These elements form an embedded museum, with integrated points of interest and historical features bringing the whole stadium to life. Access restricted areas and experience the thunderous roar of the crowd as you take to the ground through the interactive player’s race. See where some of the world’s greatest bands have entertained sold-out crowds and step inside living history as you explore inside the iconic scoreboard. Adelaide Oval Tours are led by expert volunteer guides who will share captivating tales of new and old Adelaide Oval. Each guide has their own unique stories and tour paths change seasonally - there’s always a new experience waiting to be had! The tours last approximately 90 minutes at a steady walking pace and may include the use of steps, stairs, ramps, escalators and lifts. Comfortable walking shoes and weather appropriate clothes are strongly recommended as the path includes external areas. While at the Oval, take time to wander through the famed Bradman Collection, on loan from the State Library of South Australia. The Collection follows Sir Donald Bradman’s progress from club cricketer to the international stage. It explores his major role in cricket administration and provides glimpses of the family man and all-round sportsman. The Bradman Collection is open Monday to Friday 10am to 4pm and is free for the public to view.

      Great venue for Sports Events
We attended a Matilda’s game and had an awesome experience. All staff were polite and friendly. Entry was well organised, food was easy to purchase. Everything about the night was fabulous!

A great place to watch footy!
The Adelaide Oval is a perfect place to watch Test Cricket, but it is also excellent for Gather Round AFL footy. We saw three matches, our seats were good & well-priced, there were plenty of staff around to help and the food & drink options were great. By the simple device of having In & Out doors for the toilets, queueing was minimised. Our only complaint was the incessant & loud noise from the scoreboard, where every minute had to be filled with inane chatter or competitions. We would have appreciated a break from that.

      Gather round
This is a great venue, went there for the gather round, unfortunately my team didn’t win but the stadium is awesome. Easy access and great facilities, looking forward to going back in 2025

Service contines to be an issue
Have been coming here to watch football since 2014 and love the experience. The service at the bar in the Magarey Room though leaves a lot to be desired. I stood there on Saturday night in an after match function with 5 people & 4 bar staff, only 2 of whom were actually serving. I had to actually say something to be served. And then, asking for orange juice, the staff member had no idea if they had any. Only after a 5 minute scramble did they find any! Not good enough when you are charging premium prices for poor service leaves a nasy taste in the mouth.

      Mix of old and new
Nice setting in Parkland, enjoyed the walk from the botanical gardens. Stadium has its own character, mix of old and new. Hard to get food or go to the loo. Easy to enter with plenty of staff

      Disappointing
I don't think Adelaide Oval is as good as South Australians make it out to be. We found the food to be the worst we have ever had at a footy ground, even a local one. It's not a patch on the MCG or even Manuka Oval, for example.

      Great atmosphere during Gather Round
Great to visit Adelaide Oval during Gather Round, the food is quite good at AO - fish tacos and calamari for $22

      Footy
Went to a game of footy. This was great, but given the hype around the oval, it didn't live up to its Lofty expectations. An experience nonetheless.

      The famous Adelaide Oval
We visited on a week day but found the Sir Donald Bradman Museum excellent. We also watched the the grounds men replacing the turf on the field before the first AFL game on Saturday.

      Bad Timing
Went to enjoy the tour but not possible as it wasn't happening because it clashed with an Ed Sheehan concert preparations and it was the opening day of the Adelaide Festival so we made do with a bit of lunch which was most enjoyable.

      Superb
An amazing venue for all sports. Cricket offers great atmosphere, but the venue is modern and oozing quality. It is an amazing central location with tree covered surroundings, and now boasting a world class hotel.

      no Australlian food or drinks
For the price and place you might expect an Australian beer and a meal under 2 hours. But not here, seems service is based on what team you support and what stae you come from.

A lovely ground for a cricket match
We visited for the first three days of the Adelaide Test against the West Indies. Our tickets were in the sun, which was OK when the weather was in the 20s, but on the 35-degree day, I used Ticketek at the ground to change our tickets to undercover. Ticketek were very friendly & helpful & we ended up on Level 5 of the Riverbank Stand. We found the stadium staff were all very helpful & apart from being sold cold chips once, we found the food & beverages excellent, with lots of choices.

      Classic!
A classic oval with good presence and nice surrounding gardens. Don Bradman's statue along with other famous South Aussie sportsman and philanthropists makes for a must do circumference walk. Bradman's private collection rooms inside is a must see! Very good stands and playing surface when we visited in November. Well done Adelaide!

A fantastic tour of the Oval
We enjoyed our tour very much and our guide Tony was very considerate and informative. Our vist to the scorebox had to be the highlight, fascinating to see what goes on inside the score box. The ground looked amazing, a thorough walk round was enjoyed by all.

This was a surprisingly lovely experience on our recent trip to Adelaide. My friends also loved it and our guide was very knowledgeable and obviously enjoys his job! It was great to be able to go behind-the-scenes and also into the old scoreboard.....a great venue for sure and so accessible by foot or PT! 👌

My wife and I went on the Adelaide Oval Stadium Tour - one of the most interesting aspects of our South Australian Tour. At the time the Don Bradman Museum was situated in the visitors area. The interactive corrugated water tank, golf ball and stump was brilliant. Didn't enjoy the fact the wife was better than me but can't hold that against the tour. The tour was run by Dennis, a volunteer with personal touch, Dennis took us through the Adelaide Oval and explained the history and his own personal 50 year relationship with the oval. There was history behind every aspect of the oval. The Fig trees, the old stand with grape vine, football & cricket warm up areas and score board all have wonderful stories attributed to them. The pitches behind the stadium which are dropped in during the cricket season gives you a complete picture of the running of the oval. If your unsure whether to do the tour or not - don't hesitate.

Absolutely one of the best tours I’ve been on. It was so interesting , thanks to our guide Ian. We were taken all over the inside areas that no one gets it see. The most exciting part of the tour was actually going inside the old scoreboard. It is a must when visiting Adelaide.

We are not sports fans but really enjoyed this comprehensive tour of the oval. The free museum inside the entrance was really well laid out with some fantastic old photos and a tribute area with lots of memorabilia on Don Bradman.
We booked and organised our tour online and the tour guide met us in the museum. After a short video we wandered with him down into the change rooms, up runways to the grass following in footballers footsteps, into media areas and behind the scenes places you would never normally be privy too. The history of the area was really interesting as was a inside your of the historical score board. Plenty of time for photos and to ask questions.
Definitely something to do if you enjoy history and especially if you follow football or cricket.
Excellent communication from the volunteer guide.

Adelaide Oval has the reputation for being Australia's most most beautiful stadium. Rather than being a coloseum like the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), it resembles an English county cricket ground. Its main functions are to host Test cricket and Australian Football League (AFL) matches. Following the recent upgrade, it is certainly more attractive for spectators. This year, the Oval will host an Ashes Test with England, amongst other games. By the way, the scoreboard is a well-known feature of the Oval. Entering the ground may take longer than previously due to Covid precautions.

Amazing! We did the kids Adelaide Oval tour. Our tour guide was fantastic. He was engaging, easy to hear and understand and most of all he had the kids engaged for the while tour. He joked with them, called them all buy their names. The kids got to go behind the scenes, participate in games and take a snap or 2 of the boys training.
This tour is very family friendly. Our tour guide alone deserves the 5 stars.
Definitely value for money. Ps Maybe he should be promoted to grass care or score board keeper!

We loved this tour - I'm not even into footy or cricket but I found it so interesting seeing all of the behind the scenes workings of the stadium. My favourite parts were seeing how the score board worked, and the experience of walking out into the stadium with the recorded roar of the crowd. The guide was excellent - so knowledgeable and full of interesting stories.

This tour is quite well paced, informative and interesting. It goes for 90 minutes and there is a balance of coverage of cricket and AFL information so if you like one and not the other don't despair!

You get to see a lot of behind the scenes stuff - dressing rooms, corporate areas and get inside the heritage listed scoreboard. There are stairs to climb but if your fitness isn't great you still aren't likely to have any dramas.

You can pick up souvenirs from the concierge desk and it is a chance to check out the Bradman Collection housed at Adelaide Oval as well.

Informative and enjoyable. Our guide hit the right balance of telling us all about the history and development of the Oval without going into microscopic detail and all done with an underlying sense of humour.
As a cricket lover highlight was the iconic old scoreboard.
