Overview
Any wine adventure in the Northern Barossa Valley—one of the world’s great wine regions—is better when you’re traveling safely. Leave transportation and logistics to a driver while you visit up to five wineries and sample a variety of local Shiraz, Riesling, Grenache, and other wines. This tour is ideal for travelers looking for a fun, full-day activity near Adelaide, which is just over an hour away.
What to Expect
After your pickup from your Adelaide or Glenelg hotel, settle into your seat for the roughly 75-minute journey to the Barossa Valley.
Drive through the countryside north of Adelaide, passing pretty villages of stone-brick buildings and vineyards.

Visit up to five wineries: tour their grounds and enjoy tastings in their cellars. Stop at a winery that has grown Shiraz wines since 1843. Your guide tells you about iconic Barossa Valley wines like Shiraz and Riesling, and sample varieties like Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon, Mataro, Semillon, and Chardonnay.

After the tastings, have a two-course lunch accompanied by a glass of local wine.

Then, head back to Adelaide and finish your tour with a drop-off at your original point of departure.

Great day out in the Barossa

A big thanks to Innez for a memorable day visiting some of Barossa’s great wineries. The commentary about the region was very informative and certainly made the day not only a wine drinking experience, but also an experience about the history of the region.

A very good day tour

We travelled on a comfortable mini bus with four other visitors. This was a very good introduction to the Barossa. We visited five wineries and had an excellent lunch included. The tour driver/guide, Danny C. was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Well worth going.
