Overview

Sail the waters of the Whitsunday Islands like pioneers of the past on a traditional gaff-rigged schooner. Take in the sunset over the islands and blue waters in the best possible way: from the deck of a boat. Munch on light snacks, sip a glass of sparkling wine, and snap photos of your friends or family in front of a fiery sunset over Pioneer Bay, Airlie Beach, and Hamilton Island.

What to Expect

After a full day of activities in Airlie Beach, make your way to Abell Point Marina to meet your departing sunset cruise. Step aboard the traditional gaff-rigged schooner, where you receive a glass of sparkling wine to kick off the trip.

As the boat departs for Pioneer Bay, lend a hand to raise the sails if you like, or just sit back and relax. Traveling on a boat allows for the best possible views of the sunset, Airlie Beach, Hamilton Island, and Pioneer Bay. Be sure to have your camera ready to snap photos in between snacking on the provided appetizers.

After the sunset, the schooner drops you back at your departure point in plenty of time for dinner.

An intimate sailing experience with the crew of ProvidenceV. Start with a refreshing glass of ‘bubbles’ with nibbles along the way. The crew were friendly and informative, with other passengers from the UK, Germany, Austria & Oz. The sunset was spectacular and the whole experience...More
