Highlights
  • Enjoy the reefs to the full with a choice of underwater viewing activities
  • Snorkeling, underwater observatory, semi-submersible, fish-feeding and more
  • Buffet lunch and snorkel gear; plus upgrade for scuba or helmet dive
What to expect
  • Agincourt Reef is a fantastic base for discovering the outer Great Barrier Reef, featuring a permanently moored pontoon for easy underwater exploration. Your full-day adventure begins with a 1.5-hour high-speed catamaran cruise to the edges of the reef. During the voyage, relax on the sun decks, take morning tea and watch a snorkeling demonstration. When you arrive at Agincourt, splash into the water from a submerged platform to snorkel among tropical fish and coral gardens using provided snorkeling equipment. If you prefer to stay dry, you can still explore the world-famous reef from an underwater observatory or with an included semi-submersible boat tour. Many optional activities allow you to customize your reef adventure (additional expense). Go deeper with an introductory or certified scuba dive, take a guided snorkeling tour led by a marine biologist, embark on an Ocean Walker helmet dive or get an aerial perspective on the reef with a thrilling 10-minute helicopter flight. Families with children can take advantage of the Squid Squad Kids Club’s so parents can enjoy some adult exploration time. Savor a tropical buffet lunch onboard the catamaran midday, and recharge with afternoon tea. After approximately 3.5 hours at the reef, relax on the return ride to Port Douglas.  See Itinerary below for a complete description of all included and optional tours and activities. Select the guided snorkeling tour, introductory dive and Ocean Walker at booking; other activities are payable direct on the day of your tour.

My son -9- husband and myself went today. Awesome experience
Couldn't ask for more in a day trip. Safety was well explained. Recommended to families with children who are strong swimmers and enjoy the water and our amazing sea life

Appalling service from rude, angry staff. The once colourful, magnetic reef is now all but dead, Quicksilver show photos of the reef that once was, perhaps they should update their promotional materials, to the Grey Barrier Reef.. We spent $1560 for a day out with our family and we’re extremely disappointed.

I would have been great if Eve wasn't a horrible, even dangerous instructor. She gave me a mask that was too small, then insisted that having water rush into it (because it didn't fit properly) was supposed to happen. When I signaled to her repeatedly to surface, she ignored me. I suppose they don't care about indemnity. When we did our 2 dives, she seemed supremely annoyed that I had to constantly blow water out of my mask, as if I was doing it for no reason. She held on tightly to me and wouldn't guide me around. Then when we surfaced, she had the nerve to tell me, "wow, you're curious," in a really sarcastic tone. An actual helpful employee saw my mask was ill-fitting and gave me a proper one. Thankfully, a different guide was with my on my 3rd and final dive. Then when I surfaced, some nasty man told me to sit and wait for help to have my tanks removed. I sat and waited, but arched my back. He though I was getting up and not sitting and actually shouted at me. It was frightening. I tried to tell him that I was still seated; just arching my back, but he just yelled at me again before I could get more than 2 words out. What kind of people are they?

The team are excellent, always willing to help and answer questions. The boat was comfy and plenty of room on the pontoon. Great having the different options with snorkelling, submersible and underwater viewing.

A great trip out from start to finish. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The activities were fun. I have always avoided the pontoon but it was such a great experience and wish to bring my family back, as it caters for all interests. We did the guided snorkel tour, and were very happy with it. We also did the heli flight which was a really great experience.

The submarine was excellent. A pod of dolphins followed us, we saw heaps of fish and coral. The whole day was special.
The buffet was suberb. The trip out to the reef was scenic and informative.
Patrick (lifeguard) was very helpful to a friend without his help she would not have been able to get in and out of the water. He made her day. Shannon was very helpful and informative.
It was a great day out.

Good day out with a well oiled team.
Big boat, felt a little like a ferry with the seating arrangement & staff style of management.
Everything you need for a good day at a fantastic location, Agincourt Reef.
Plenty of time there to explore at your leisure & options for non Swimmers & novices.
Great facilities, all you need.
Very different experience to the local company Wavelength, who we also went out with. Both great, but smaller local friendlier team vs bigger operation.
We luckily went out with less than 50 people on board, which was perfect. Boat can cater for 200 which I wouldnt be so keen on & would feel pretty hectic.

Fantastic experience but the state of the pontoon and support vessels was not up to the otherwise professional standards.
The roof of the pontoon is a disgrace, very run down. The outer reef infrastructure looked ‘tired’.
Impossible to maintain social distancing while in allocated seating.

Amazing day on the water. All the staff were wonderful and helpful. We snorkelled with our 4 year old no worries at all. There was plenty of food and awesome snorkelling. Very well run. Loved it
