Perfect way to spend our last night in Port Douglas. The catamaran is roomy and comfortable to enjoy the sail and sunset.Canapes provided were very well put together and enjoyable first beverage was complimentary then reasonably priced for purchase. The crew are amazing ensuring your experience is nothing but amazing.
Recommend making this part of your itinerary when visiting Port Douglas.

Was a very nice time on the boat, crew were fantastic, me and my friends had fun. Yellowglen is a terrible drink🥂I would look into another type of sparkling, heaps of low cost versions. I bought Moët for double the price which I thought was robbery! Think you should advise guest that they possibly get wet or soaked on the trip.

A beautiful way to end the day, whilst no sun setting that evening due to being overcast, the cruise was awesome. Joel and the crew were first class, very informative and lots of fun! The catamaran was very spacious, there was 45 passengers on board and lots of space for everyone to sit down and fully relax! Great music playing, canapés provided with first drink free of charge. The whole 90 minutes was relaxing and enjoyable- full of information and something I’d recommend doing!

Our group of 4 were highly disappointed by this sunset cruise & felt like we wasted our money. Admittedly nature was against us & the sunset was ruined by cloud cover which we understand cannot be helped, and also there was no wind so we couldn’t sail which also couldn’t be helped. So all we did was motor out of the marina & then they turned the engine off & we just sat in one spot for the next hour doing nothing. If there was no wind they should have used the engine to cruise out or up a bit further so we could have at least seen a bit more of the coast instead of just bobbing around doing nothing. The staff barely interacted with the passengers apart from the initial welcome & then handing out the one drink per person that was included, there was no acknowledgement of the lack of sunset or wind so we were left just sitting there doing nothing, until they started the engine & took us the the 10 minutes back to the marina. It was literally a waste of an hour & a half (& not to mention a waste of $75 each!) & I wouldn’t recommend this cruise because if nature isn’t on your side & there is no sunset & no wind then what’s the point? It’s not like you even get cruise around to see any of the coast.

Great little sail. Skipper Joel, and his crew were fantastic. Full of information, and happy to chat and engage with passengers sharing details about the area and the vessel. Only problem was 90 minutes felt a little short, and you rarely get to see the sunset over the cloud cover in the hills. Still well worth it for a peaceful cruise.

My wife and I spent an hour and a half aboard the Sunset Sailing Cruise and it was a great experience.

Not only was the sunset the the boat stunning, the friendly staff were fantastic, offering to take photos and serving extremely well-priced drinks. The picking plate of cheese and biscuits was also great.

The staff were extra supportive of my wife who started to feel seasick towards the end of the trip, due to the rough weather.

Would unreservedly recommend

My husband and I have just done our third Sailaway Sunset Cruise, always include it in every visit to Port Douglas as it's always a highlight, beautiful catamarans, scenery, vibe and staff always delightful. We have also done the Low Isles cruise and have had different weather conditions on all the trips, some perfect conditions some not so perfect but loved each experience and being out on the ocean.
Could'nt recommend this experience more highly, we will always be back to do another cruise with Sailaway!

It was a relaxing sunset cruise off the Four Mile Beach with canapés, drinks and music. We found ourselves a lovely spot on the upper deck with great views.

Ambience: Very Good

Service: Good

We took this tour as part of an offer from Sailaway when we made a booking for the Sailaway Mackay Cay Snorkelling Tour (please see separate review).

We absolutely loved this experience. The crew was exceptional and they provided great service. The view back to the mainland was spectacular and being on the water and watching the sunset was amazing. Remember to dress for the possibility of windy conditions and you will be asked to take your shoes off before boarding. Totally recommend this as it is also great value.

As the Founder of Atlas Wellness I make wellness a priority and have wanted to experience one of the seven natural wonders of the world for some time.

I did a lot of research to get this right, and happy to say Sailaway didn’t disappoint on this half day trip and snorkel to the reef, returning at sunset.

They accommodated my gluten free request with a number of options and provided a straight forward but special experience to the reef. Unforgettable and memorable, I recommend this to all - young and old.

Check out the Alas Wellness video to see more about my experience with Sailaway.
