If you want to see the great barrier reef from the air, this is your best opportunity. We took the 40 minutes flight to see it and we enjoyed every minute!
Your tour begins with pickup from your Port Douglas hotel and, depending on the tour option selected, a short transfer to the Port Douglas marina or helipad. If you’ve chosen to fly out by helicopter, take off on a 35-minute flight, soaring over two of Australia’s UNESCO World Heritage–listed landscapes—the Daintree Rainforest, and the islands and sandy cays of the Great Barrier Reef. Alternatively, set sail across the Coral Sea aboard a high-speed catamaran and venture out to explore the more remote outer reefs.
Your destination for the day is a pontoon anchored along Agincourt Reef, where you’ll have around three hours to spend at your leisure. Dive in to swim and snorkel, cruise around the coral gardens on a semi-submersible submarine, or spot tropical fish and marine life from the underwater observatory. A delicious buffet lunch is also included. After an unforgettable day discovering the Great Barrier Reef, set out on your return journey by either catamaran or helicopter to Port Douglas, where your tour ends.
