Daintree Rainforest, part of the Wet Tropics UNESCO World Heritage Site, stretches north of Port Douglas, all the way to Cape Tribulation. On this tour, see wild crocodiles as you cruise along the Daintree River, enjoy lunch in the heart of the rain forest, and journey to the remote headland of Cape Tribulation for spectacular views over the Great Barrier Reef.
What to Expect
After pickup from your Cairns or Port Douglas hotel, travel north into the Daintree Rainforest by air-conditioned vehicle. Set sail on a wildlife cruise along the Daintree River, looking out for wild crocodiles, exotic birds, snakes, and flying foxes.

Stop to take in the views from the Alexandra Range Lookout and visit the fascinating Daintree Entomological Museum. Tuck into a delicious lunch in the museum grounds, with a choice of steak, barramundi fish, or vegetarian options. Then, enjoy free time to relax or swim in the river.

In the afternoon, visit the remote headland of Cape Tribulation, the only point on earth where two UNESCO-listed sites meet—the Daintree Rainforest and the Great Barrier Reef. Take a guided walk through Cape Tribulation in Daintree National Park, before setting out on the return journey to Cairns or Port Douglas, driving through the Alexandra Range, and crossing the river by cable barge.

A full day, but it flies

Mario was an excellent guide, and genuinely enthusiastic about the sights, animals, plants, etc. he was showing us. My day with this tour ran 7:30am-7:30pm...but those 12 hours really flew by because they were filled with so much activity. And even though we kept a...More

The only ocean you'll ever need.

Joe was my tour guide for this excursion, and continuously impressed me with the depth of his knowledge about the Daintree Rainforest. He also gave me a sweet banana from one of the places that we stopped at to try, as I had never had...More

Fantastic full day trip

Premium Daintree Tour and Cape Tribulation. So glad I did this trip in August 2018 rather than self-drive, as our driver/guide/chef named Mario provided very interesting commentary throughout the day so I learnt stuff that on a self drive would have missed. Mario had a...More

Most frustrating tour I've ever had

Our guide seemed more interested in commercial stops (ice creams at a coffee shop) than what we came for (=nature, rainforest, beach, wildlife etc.). We spent as much time at the ice cream shop than for the whole walk in the Daintree Forest, which I...More

Cape Tribulation is worth visiting but not sure this is the tour

There are a ton of tour companies to choose from and they range in price. I had been recommended a couple but ended up here because of a last minute cancellation on one tour and a deal these guys offered on Book me. That said,...More

Bring water as out tour guide had non on a hot tropical day. Also mind the posted signs regarding crocodiles and other possible dangers. Avoid cassowary birds as they can be dangerous especially if they have a chick nearby.
