          The views are great
Gold class not worth the extra money. Just a packet of nuts and a few crackers with dip. Full of garlic which I am allergic to. Sorbet was nice. Wine and beer were in abundance but I don’t drink. Just don’t go gold class and buy something to take onboard to eat. Don’t buy anything from shop on the station. Some souvenirs had no prices on them. I paid $60.00 for a small shirt for my grandson.

Kuranda is a beautiful town with awe-inspiring nature and engineering feats. Skyrail amazing, butterfly museum out of this world, train loud but interesting history. Great day out by all.

          A very enjoyable day
Though the pickup was late because of no-shows we had a good time once we got to the skyrail. We went up to Kuranda on the skyrail. At the first stop of Red Peak we took a short free tour with Ranger Ash. He was very knowledgeable and we learnt and saw things we wouldn't have on our own. Barron Falls was an amazing sight. At the village we went to see the Koala Gardens though we felt it was a little bit of rip-off for the price (AUD 38 with the 10% discount for 2 tickets). We wanted to have lunch at the Frogs restaurant but they had closed at 2 pm! Ended up having lunch at a family run place with very friendly youngsters. A new place that opened in 2023. The picture of the sign is from this restaurant. The scenic train back was everything that it promises and the on-train audio is clear and understandable. The coach was waiting for us at the station. A very enjoyable day that. Highly recommend this.

          Fun with the snakes
Amazing place, animals well looked after, staff friendly and very knowledgeable. Everything flowed, no waiting around. Plenty to do. We went just for half day tour which we thought was enough for us

          Fun with information
Great to see the animals. There were really interesting talks given on snakes, crocs, cassowaries and koalas with plenty of tome to wander around and see other animals. The tour bus was on time for pick up and return. A really enjoyable afternoon.

No a lot of time spent on coach on this tour
This tour was very rewarding and moved at a good pace. Nice walking & guide information at the Wetlands & Kuranda. Love the walk down to the Barron Falls. The indigenous welcome and talk in the tour at Kuranda gave a lovely touch. Not too long driving from point to point. Lunch was very nice and time spent at Skybury was perfect & I would suggest to pay the extra to sample their liquors. Then tasty ice cream at the Ice Creamy. The return trip on the Skyrail was very great as we came down after the main departures of other groups from Kuranda so felt important as not crowded when arriving at the stations to disembark to explore the view & the rainforest (with a guide). Dropped off at hotel. Very enjoyable day.

          Amazing Trip
The trip was really amazing. The places were absolutely stunning and overall experience with Down Under Tours was incredible. They really took great care of their customers with top notch service and exceptional personalized service. This trip is included with fantastic food and great experience to taste local coffee and coffee liqueur. Special shoutout to Tara, Joe and Mark who made my trip very memorable. This is a must-do experience for anyone who visit Cairns, to enjoy the world’s oldest tropical rainforest.

          Fabulous views
Amazing views, photos turned out fab. Made better by delay due to tree on line. This shortened time in Kuranda village which pleased my husband. Skyrail down was amazing and the stops were well worth doing, as view of falls was incredable.

          Simply Magnificent
Wow wow wow what a fantastic day. We were lucky enough to take the trip on the Kuranda Scenic Railway starting in Cairns. Everything about this trip was excellent from the star of the show The Train to the staff and commentary. The 2 hour journey just flew past with a different thing to see around each corner. Incredible views, magnificent waterfalls and extremely well commentary about the history of the railway. I would highly recommend spending a day on this train. Worth every cent.

          Step back in time!
Loved the train! We were lucky it wasn't too busy so we had plenty of room. In peak season I would recommend Gold class. The scenery was spectacular. Kuranda was not my cup of tea, way too touristy. But absolutely would do the train again and the sky train on the way down.

Wonderful day on a heritage railway followed by great wildlife encounters
We had a great day enjoying gold class on the railway and then the wildlife package that included koalas, birds and butterflies. The on board service was excellent with lovely tea and tasty treats. We purchased at the koala place a chance to hold a koala and have our picture taken. It was delightful. The sky ride back was great with a second view of the magnificent waterfalls. The train stops at one side and the cable car at the other side. At a different stop we had a ranger give us a short tour of the rainforest. It was a great day and we highly recommend it.

          Great experience with Skyrail
Really well organised. We paid a little extra for a prompt pick up from our hotel to transfer to the Smithfield terminal and a return coach back at 4pm. As we drove, we got a little tour guide of Cairns. The cable car ride stops at two areas - both give you the chance to see the rain forest close up and also the Barron River falls which are breathtaking. Kuranda is an interesting village with a variety of restaurants and shops- also we enjoyed the Koala Country attraction. We allowed 6 hours all in and needed all that time - worth perhaps allowing a full day.

This was so much fun especially since we didn’t know what to expect. First time experiencing a rainforest and viewing such a magnificent waterfall so close up!

Took this day trip with Daniel from Port Douglas accomodation.

Picked up on time in a clean and new bus. Air con working a treat!

Full day with the drive to Mossman Gorge and morning tea at the centre, followed by a drive to Daintree River and ferry crossing up the coast.

Visit to Cape Tribulation is life changing.

On the way back, the trip down the Daintree River is interesting and becomes the ‘spot the croc’ part of the day.

Lunch provide was more than sufficient with steak, sausage and fish off the BBQ with salad and fruit. Stop off at the Daintree Ice Cream Company was an unexpected surprise with the VERY generous serve included in the tour price.

Daniel is an asset to the company, providing commentary and history lessons all day long.

Highly recommend the day, and don’t forget the sunscreen and mossie spray!

This was an absolutely fantastic trip if you have limited time and knowledge of the area. Stu our guide was so knowledgeable and went out of his way to make the trip interesting and packed full of things to do and see. In nine hours we went for two bush walks, swam in a rainforest rock pool, had a tasty lunch at a cafe in the Daintree, saw a cassowary, taipan and dragon lizards, tasted homemade ice cream with bush food flavours, visited Alexander lookout and went on a river cruise to see the local crocodiles. Highly recommend this trip!

We did this tour that included Mossman Gorge, My husband and I loved it although long periods of time on the bus. Never mind, our guide, Daniel, kept us entertained with his so much knowledge and Trivia. We found this to be equally as interesting as the tour and scenery itself. It rained that morning at Mossman Gorge but that didn't matter as it added to the ambiance of experiencing the freshness and clarity of air in the rain forest. Nothing a plastic poncho couldn't fix. Lovely canopy walks. You can swim in the natural pool there, but not included in our tour and plus the water was way too cold. We specially liked the Daintree River Cruise. Scareface ( massive crocodile) was kind enough to make an appearance. Yep lots of crocs here. We stopped at a lovely spot for lunch in forest surroundings and then some yummy ice cream at Daintree Icecreamery on the ride home. Very interesting day out indeed. We loved it.

Hi Blazert, Thanks for the above, it's not often we get feedback from customers who have experienced the World Heritage Rainforest...in the rain! I like you, love being in it as the rain falls....So glad you had a fun day, I agree the Ice cream is yummy:)

Our family really enjoyed the experience and each place is well worth visiting. It’s something we’ll always remember.

Of particular note was our driver/guide, Daniel. His knowledge of the area was extensive and he was able to pass this on in a very engaging and entertaining way. His ability to keep a range of ages interested, including our 15yr son, is quite remarkable.

Well worth doing with Down Under Tours.

Last Saturday, yesterday, we were suppossed to join this Tour but we were left behind because we came down from our room 10 mins late. However, according to the bus driver he went down & asked for us in the frontdesk of the hotel we were checked-in since Tuesday. But according to him the frontdesk informed him there "was no one" checked in by our names!!! And when we asked about this with the frontdesk, they said that no one approached them nor they noticed a bus parked infront. How could this happen when everything is computerized & could our names not be reflected on it?

We were really disappointed because compared to our earlier Great Barrier Reef with Passions, we noticed they really exerted effort & waited for all tourists to arrive considering the meeting place is in the Marina. We came all the way from another Country just to join this tour & spent alot for this.

I spoke with a certain Ruby & waited the whole day for her call or a win-win situation. And when there was none I called their office & spoke to a rude lady who wont identify herself despite me asking who she is.

        What a money making scheme & deception!!!😣
        10 thumbs down!!!

The weather was not kind to us today but we had the most amazing experience. Greg the bus driver was fantastic. His commentary and knowledge was great. We visited Mossman Gorge. Daintree Forest and River Cruise, Alexander Lookout and Cape Tribulation
We were lucky to see a few crocodiles on the river. Where the rainforest meets the reef is breathtaking. The morning tea of scones was delicious as well as the lunch in the Daintree Rainforest restaurant. Not to mention the yummy ice cream
I really recommend this tour if you are visiting Cairns

On the 20th-23rd October 2022, we had the pleasure of Scott as our bus driver and tour guide for the above tour and we couldn’t have been more fortunate.
His knowledge of the local region was exceptional and he was extremely helpful and considerate. He was engaging and interactive and made us feel very comfortable.
We had a French couple with limited English and he went out of his way to assist them.
We were clear on our daily schedule and he was flexible with arrangements when needed.
We would definitely recommend Down Under Tours to friends and family in the future.
Also the office staff were very helpful with queries previous to our tour.

Whilst the tour covered all places per the itinerary it did feel rushed, particularly visiting the Mossman Gorge (on 27/12). Would’ve preferred less time at morning tea and more time enjoying the Gorge. Our guide was informative with a great sense of humour. With covid regulations now more lenient unfortunately a lady with a cough & sneezing, (using a hand towel to cough into) sat in front of me the 8 hours of tour. I was nervous but didn’t feel it was PC to ask her to wear a mask, suffice to say 2 days later I came down with the same cough and cold/sore throat that I’ve come home with. I’m not sure if there’s any way to include a wellness protocol to check and see if people are feeling ok before being in the confine of a mini bus for that amount of time; it put a dampener on the rest of my holiday.
I’d love to come back in the winter time (with a mask) and enjoy the full benefits of the tour.

The rain forest is a magical place. We fed rescued wallabies, cruised down a river, visited beaches (where we saw rays and sharks swimming), had a wonderful barbecue, and finished with ice cream! You will never forget your day!

This was simply a brilliant tour to the Daintree Rainforest and Cape Tribulation. Made all the better by our guide for the day the very knowledgeable entertaining & friendly Daniel. He was simply superb and pointed out and explained so much about the vegetation animals and geography of the area. The walks through the forrest were not difficult but were very intresting and all the locations visited were great to see. We saw plenty of the local wildlife you won't be disappointed.
Do take a rain jacket remember your in a Rainforest so it does rain but it certainly doesn't detract from what is a very informative and enjoyable trip.
