- amandachristie140 contributionsExploring DarwinI went with my two children (son 18, daughter 13) and we all LOVED this attraction, it was epic fun! Anton was a great guide he had a great sense of humour and great knowledge of the region, particularly for an American! It was equal parts informative, thrilling and fun. We'd all recommend and do it again. The hour went really quickly and for us a longer option would be something we'd be interested in.Written March 20, 2023

Is why I keep coming back. Only the best with these skills & customer service second to none. The information shared about nature & history priceless. The no bs is refreshing too. Thanks so much for the hospitality & experience again. Wonderful🥰 as always. Appreciation for the efforts the team go to make this adventure possible.Written October 20, 2022
- Alison D0 contributionsWhat a blast!Delivered exactly what was advertised, high adrenaline. Jet boat was fast & furious across the water & then the air boat was fun across the mud flats. TIP - due to noise levels & speed, chances are wildlife will not stick around,, it’s an adrenaline experience nit a wildlife tour, extra bonus if you do spot wildlife that isn’t scared off by the noise.Written October 12, 2022

- iNatMac19730 contributionsLoved it, money well spent thank youAnton was an excellent host, fun and energetic. Unfortunately it was low tide so we were not able to get up to any creeks but the mud slides were epic, the air boat was brilliant and the speed boat . Thanks guys. Thongs are fine, no need for enclosed shoesWritten October 8, 2022
- groberts20220 contributionsBest holiday ever. From booking my partners heli-fishing tour last year to secretly arranging my big moment to pop the question, the whole Matt Wright team was incredible. I would recommend this to anyone, both my wife to be and myself had a blast.Written September 12, 2022
- hard_to_be_excellent0 contributionsMehBoth guides were good but the whole operation lacked polish for the $$$. Could have been a lot better ! Do not bring a good camera unless it’s in a waterproof pack, you don’t get a little wet you get absolutely drenched, there was a box on the dock where you could leave your things but it was left unattended and unlocked. We spent a very short time in the jet boat before transferring to the airboat and were told there would be no return ride on the jetboat (as advertised) apparently something to do with the tide ?? We couldn’t go up any of the estuaries in the airboat as the tide was going out ….. shouldn’t they know all the ins and outs of the tide ?? All we did was continuous 360s on the mud flats, with the occasional stop. One person was sick and there wasn’t alot of exhilaration happening. Pretty “meh” for the dollars.Written September 4, 2022
- FreganTravels0 contributionsGreat funThe jet boat and air boat tour is a lot of fun, you will get muddy (a little bit) and wet (a lot) The air boat guide was informative and interesting. It was a great fun way to see the mangroves. You might get bitten by midges and although I was wearing aerogard did get bitten quite a lot so my tip would be to use extra strength repellent if you are susceptible to bites. The trip could be quite expensive if you have a whole family but it is a lot of fun and a unique experienceWritten August 30, 2022
- Gai W0 contributionsAdventure boatsWas so much fun. The driver was very informative and was able to answer any questions regarding the mangroves, harbour and crocodiles. The boat ride was exhilarating. Was well worth the money. We did combine this with the jet boat rideWritten August 16, 2022

- DavidHannah20220 contributionsDarwin Adventure Boats - Holiday tripGreat fun on both the boats. Speed boats was great - got soaked, loved it. Air boat was exciting exploring the mangroves, unfortunate didn't see any crocs on our trip. Would recommend to anyone looking for a little excitement and adrenaline in their day!!Written July 28, 2022
- lilmzgiggle0 contributionsFun but WET!!!!!!Had a great and fun time and the tour guys were fun…..only thing that that didn’t get you the full 5stars was because we knew we’d be in for a splash and get a bit wet but we weren’t expecting to get fully soaked drowned rats with the boat dive. Prior warning when booking to make sure you’ve got dry clothes to change into would’ve been considerate and also glad we didn’t take the good camera on because it wouldn’t have survived our 1st attraction and would’ve been damaged just glad the saturated phones held out ok for the rest of our trip. Maybe everyone could be offered to place their phones into a dry box for this moment to keep them safe & undamaged on that part of the adventure boat tour!Written July 27, 2022

Matt Wright tours in Darwin harbour was a fantastic 1 hour of adrenalin rush, doing 360's on the mud flats in the airboat and then jumping into the jet boat for more 360's and high speed turns, see Darwin from the water. You're going to get wet that's for sure, so bring dry clothing if you're going to have lunch or dinner at Stokes wharf after the ride. This ride is safe for all ages, on our day we had teens and children as young as 9 & 12.

Just had the most amazing hour, first on the jet boat for turns, spills and dives, thanks to Anton our driver we did get a little bit wet, little did we know what he had in store for us on the way back! Then onto the airboat for a little meander down the mangroves, checked out a trap, but alas no croc in there, then some adrenaline pumped 360 degree turns on the mudflats before jumping back on the jetboat for the return back to the wharf and a dunking that left us all very, very wet. Loved every second of this adventure, and what made it all the more special was we got to Matt Wright himself, I am such a big fan of him and his family and the croc show he does, it just made me adventure even more special. Thoroughly recommend this adventure 😁

Thank you for sharing your incredible experience with us at Darwin Adventure Boats. We're thrilled to hear that you had the most amazing hour filled with thrilling turns, spills, and dives on the jet boat, thanks to our skilled driver, Anton. We love providing a wet and wild experience that keeps our guests on their toes!
It's wonderful to know that you enjoyed the meandering journey down the mangroves on the airboat, even though you didn't spot a croc in the trap. The adrenaline-pumped 360-degree turns on the mudflats must have been an exhilarating experience! We aim to create unforgettable memories and it sounds like we succeeded.
We're delighted that you had the opportunity to meet Matt Wright himself. He is truly an incredible individual, and we're thrilled that his presence made your adventure even more special. We share your admiration for him, his family, and the croc show they do. It's an honour to have provided an adventure that lived up to your expectations.
Thank you for thoroughly recommending our adventure. We appreciate your trust and kind words. We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back in the future for more thrilling and memorable experiences.

What an awesome way to see Darwin!! Rowdy was a great guide and very nice. My wife and I were with two (2) other couples and all of us had a blast! Worth the price and tour meeting area very close to cruise ship terminal, we all walked there and got to see some of the nice artistic walkways of Darwin harbor. Amazing to see how fast and how large the tide change is in Darwin.

Anton couldn’t have been more helpful as getting into a boat that’s madly rocking in the unseasonal chop is not for the coordinatedly challenged. The jet boat experience was a rush & though I’ve experienced the 360 spins before I didn’t realise that jet boats could dive! Spoiler alert…you will get wet…you will get saturated! We were disappointed with the air boat however. A cruise through the mangroves was fascinating but too short. Powering along the mudflats & spotting a wide variety of bird life was wonderful but then we just sat in one place & spun around…and around…and around…and around & frightened all the bird life away. Not interesting or comfortable at all… Save the exhilaration for the jet boat & keep the airboat for exploring the unique wildlife that calls the mangroves home.

Thank you for sharing your feedback about your experience with Anton and our boat tours. We appreciate your kind words about Anton's helpfulness, especially in assisting those who may find it challenging to board a rocking boat.
We're glad to hear that the jet boat experience provided you with a rush and that the 360 spins were a thrilling surprise. It's certainly an adventure that leaves you drenched! We aim to provide exhilarating moments that create lasting memories.
We apologise that the air boat experience fell short of your expectations. We appreciate your feedback regarding the duration and the repetitive spinning. We understand that this detracted from the overall enjoyment for you. We will take your comments into consideration to ensure that future air boat tours provide a more engaging and comfortable experience.
Your suggestion to focus the air boat tour on exploring the unique wildlife of the mangroves is valuable. We will review our itineraries to better showcase the diverse wildlife that calls the mangroves home.
Thank you for sharing your honest feedback. It helps us identify areas where we can improve. We hope to have the opportunity to provide you with a more satisfying experience in the future.

They have no care for customers once they have your money. Sent an email 31 Aug 2021 still waiting for the Manager to get back to me 5weeks later. Out of 6 guests on boat only 2 of us paid full fare the others free loaders. Apparently this is fine with the company. Tourist pay, locals go for free!

I’m sorry but this is way over priced if you compare it to the jet boats in Queenstown. This would get a 3
We were told the Japanese gave a 99 year lease on the by the driver Didn’t want to embarrass him and correct him as we knew it was the Chinese won the bid.
Better things to do with $330 for two
We have done lots of activities and this was the poorest quality for the over price

Cheers for the epic trip Rowdy you crazy crab wrangler!! Very informative and what an amazing way to really see what the Darwin harbour I all about. The fish life was amazing we watched Barra, Spanish Mackerel and Stingrays jumping and swimming around Airboat. Rowdy scooped an absolute cracker of a mud crab up in his net as we cruising slow in the shallow water mud flats. Cheers for the good yarns and boat talk.

Woohoo, what a way to cool down on a hot day, with some action and sightseeing. Anton was our captain and his own excitement and love for his job overflowed onto us. Loved hearing Anton speak about the mangroves and local area with some interesting facts I never knew. You will definitely get drenched in such a fun way, so go prepared and have fun doing burn out's on the mud flats too.

I have never been on an airboat before so I was excited to see what it was all about. My favorite part was the 360 spins that Rowdy would do occasionally with his boat as we cruised around the water. We saw a few interesting creatures in the water, lots of birds, and Rowdy educated us about the habitat, the tides, and the surrounding area. What a unique way to experience a significant part of Darwin. Loved it!

We had a great day out on the jet boat, get very wet doing Dives and 360 in the boat, the other half went out on there boat although they run into a bit of trouble getting stuck our crew loved every bit of it. They helped to get the boat out got covered in mud but that was no issue as we can have that happen putting up out tent lots of team building lol. So they laughed told storys until they could get out, they all had the best day and would go again in a flash.
