We got our first Barramundi finally!
What a great day! We went on a 4 hour helifish with Ben as our pilot. We caught our first Barramundi and it didn't stop there! Highly recommend.

      Amazing experience
On Monday the 15th of August my husband and I went on the scenic flights, air boat and river cruise on the Mary River Wetlands. Ben was our pilot and is a wonderful and knowledgeable guide but also a professional and down to earth person. We had a beautiful flight and saw many animals including water buffalo. Ben was able to answer all our many questions and provided many laughs along the way. He is a very skilful pilot and for my husbands first helicopter flight he was surprised at ow smooth and comfortable it was. The flight to and from the Mary River was wonderful – Ben also served us lunch and made s feel that extra special. I wish we had had the time to go on more tours with Ben while we were in Darwin. We will just have to go back. The Mary River Wetlands Air Boat and River Cruise run by Jake to say was incredible is an understatement. Jake took us out on the air boat which is an experience in its self – flying across the wetland through the lilies with birds flying around you was magical. Jace was able to point out many different species of birds along the way – first time seeing a brolga – he spoke of each bird with such detail. We saw many croc’s both fresh water and salt water and also managed to see a few buffalo. Riley who was his first week – we would never have guess this – was able to also spot out these animals and provided great knowledge. Both Jake and Riley gave us such an incredible tour and the knowledge was just extraordinary. We then hoped on the Mary River Boat Cruise for over an hour. Ben provided us with a delicious cheese platter from local caterers to eat on out cruise. I would highly recommend going on the air boat first – its fast paced and you can experience a large area quickly and its also a lot of fun. Second the cruise is a slower pace but allows you to really soak in the beauty of the wetlands. The cruise with Jake was beautiful – this area is a hidden gem in Australia, and I would recommend everyone visits at some point. The large amount of species of birds, animals and Croc’s is extraordinary. But the highlight is the tour that Jake provides with all his knowledge. He was very processional, knowledgeable, funny, and down to earth. He answered all questions and was able to go into great detail. His passion and love for nature in these wetlands shines through when talking to him. Riley was also wonderful and knew a lot about the indigenous details of the tour. There was so much to take in and learn and it’s a place I cannot wait to visit again. Thankyou so much truly Jake, Ben and Riley for an amazing day in the Northern Territory. Mathew and Lisa

Birds eye view of unique landscape, absolutely priceless.
Jeremy was a great pilot who not only knew the landscape but clearly loved it too, and really who wouldn’t?! Jeremy provided valuable commentary throughout the journey which helped us understand the land and sites better, such an intimate close up view of a vast landscape but only requiring a few hours of your holiday all up. We saw the narrow rainforest waterways which traversed arid lands while feeding beautiful waterfalls and swimming holes, we saw the dispersed and colonised cities of ants nests from the air, and we saw wild brumbies grazing. The view of the waterfalls from the air is something you just can’t truly appreciate the same on the ground. It was my partner’s first time in a helicopter and a memory he will never forget. The experience leaves from Charles Darwin National Park carpark, if you are getting an Uber from Darwin city put the National Park as the destination not the road given in the bottom of the conformation email like I did because you can’t rely on your Uber driver to get you there, Uber stung us $73 for the confusion on the way there for a journey that only cost $18 on the way home. This chopper experience is worth every penny and should be a bucket list item while in Darwin. Book ahead so you don’t miss out. 10/10 experience.

Great experience but take a good camera
3 day lockdown was disappointing, this was redemption . After missing out on a day trip to Litchfield Park we decided to indulge in a flight to see what we had missed. We were picked up on time and our pilot, Jeremy, ran us through the Robinson R44, the wife chose to sit in the back while i grabbed the front seat, minus the doors, plus the camera 😁 You get used to the doors being off and although a bit windy Jeremy kept it pretty level and steady whilst giving a good description of where we were. It was a bit daunting at first but seriously no better way than to see the sights of Litchfield Park, the falls, rivers, and the termite mounds from above. The hour goes by pretty quickly so you can soak up the views or take some photos, just keep everything inside the chopper as it’s a long way down !

Don’t miss out on this experience
A spectacular experience! Although we were caught up in the time of a lockdown due to COVID-19, Nautilus came through with flying colours. Our experience was easily rescheduled with the help of friendly and professional staff. Thank you. We were collected from our accommodation on time and had a comfortable ride to the helipad where we were meet by our pilot. An awesome flight over a spectacular landscape with great commentary. When we arrived at the wetlands we were meet by another great guide. The airboat is not to be missed. We saw so much wildlife and given so much informative information about the ecology of the wetlands. Our pilot and wetlands guide had a delightful blend of professionalism, knowledge, and humour. An excellent day.

      Awesome
What a fantastic day out, packed with adventure. We did the True Territory Tour ,Simon our pilot was accomodating, friendly and full of knowledge. The 30 minute scenic heli flight gave us a perspective of the size of the wet lands, flood plains with Water Buffalo roaming the landscape. Arriving at Corroboree Billabong we were met by Josh who was very knowledgeable and our guide for the 45 minute Airboat Adventure. The first thing we saw boarding the airboat was a crocodile gliding across the water, the flora surrounding the floodplains was spectacular, plenty of Jabiru and a family of wild pigs. Back into the chopper and off to our next stop, Adelaide River for our 1 hour Jumping Crocodile Cruise. We felt like Rock Stars as we helicoptered down into the car park to be greeted by on lookers. Lots of crocodiles lurking in the muddy river, was awesome to see them entertain us during the pole feeding display. Our final scenic flight ended at the Noonamah Tavern for a pub lunch and a coldie. Spectacular day out, great value and you get to see so much from the chopper and if you want a closer look you just drop down lower and see what you want, then off you go again. Saves a heap of driving and you see so much in a short time. Would highly recommend this trip to anyone wanting an awesome day out.

      Adventure!
Awesome! Awesome! Couldn’t ask for a better adventure or more knowledgeable and fun guides. Dan our pilot was great, he was very knowledgeable pointing out buffalo and wild pigs then when he spotted a rare sight with a crocodile that had made a kill and dragged it in the water he did a bog lap for us to get a closer look, all on video too! Chase was our airboat guide and she was awesome too, a lot of fun and very knowledgeable then last but not least we had the pleasure of an hour and a half cruise with Connie, we couldn’t recommend this adventure more! Thank you so much for an amazing experience:- )

We had an awesome helicopter ride with a great pilot who was full of information and pointed out the sites to us. once we arrived at the airboat we had another great guide who knew where to take us to see crocodiles, birds, boars and all different kinds of flora and fauna and gave us an insight into the way the land was and is used

      Amazing Experience
We were met at the helipad at Charles Darwin NP & Dan flew us out to the Wet Lands for 2 different boating experiences. The flight was 25 magnificent minutes over the most incredible landscapes. We sighted wild buffalo, wild pigs & many different birds. Dan was a very experienced pilot. He gave us lots of info about the region. The boating experience was wonderful. Jake showed us different types of birds, water lilies fish & of course, crocodiles! The airboat ride was exhilarating and stunningly beautiful. Chase, our boat operator demonstrated the amazing power of the Corvette engine that powers the airboat. A must do experience!!!

My wife and I went on this day trip not knowing what to expect, well this was one of the best days we have had, from the chopper ride out and return trip, great pilot gave us a good look around, the airboat ride was excellent we were lucky to be the only two on the tour, we had Chas, Jack and Connie the guides were excellent great knowledge that made it a great trip with even better service, well done Chas and Jack. We then went with Connie on the boat ride with lunch another great trip Connie done an excellent job and we had a great lunch. Incredible!
What an amazing morning! We were greeted by our wonderful pilot Ben, who thoughtfully offered us insect repellent as the bugs were out in force in the National Park. Then LIFTOFF! in our sleek red helicopter for the scenery of urban Darwin to disappear underneath us and give way to the wetlands. Ben painted a verbal picture for us of what this would look like during wet season (we travelled late in the dry season), and pointed out all the animals and sights. Our airboat experience was amazing (with WIldlands Wetland Safari) and the biggest highlight of the trip - our guide had so much knowledge and character, and the scenery was epic. To cap off a wonderful morning, the heli flight back to Darwin included a thrilling low and fast take-off over the trees.

30 minute helicopter flight to and from Mary River Wilderness Retreat via Corroboree Billabong.
The helicopter landed in the grounds of the Mary River Wilderness Retreat. Our pilot was very professional in conducting the safety briefing. The helicopter was well presented. The flight was undertaken as a combined helicopter/airboat experience and was an excellent scenic experience.

If you do one thing in Darwin, make sure it’s the Kakadu Heli tour! Our guide/pilot Shaun was professional, adaptable, informative and an all round great guy! The scenery is spectacular and out of the 500 odd photos we took it’s really hard to pick a favourite. We saw soooo much more than we would have if we had gone by coach or car! I was a little nervous at the start but omg when you are up there it is breath taking. We have been in Darwin for over a week and seen and done all there is - this is by far the best experience we have had - if it’s not on your list of things to see and do - It should be!!!!
