      Disgraceful
Absolutely disgraceful service. Booked the cruise to Crab Claw Island for the seafood buffet lunch months in advance, with my mum who was visiting from interstate. Sealink didn’t tell us the cruise had been cancelled due to low ticket sales. ~20 of us waiting at the ferry terminal for over an hour before we asked some other ferry crew and were told us our cruise wasn’t happening. All the interstate visitors had their day ruined. By the time we found out (~11.30am), it was too late to book any other day trip. We tried calling but got sent to voicemail because it was the weekend. We finally visited the office where staff, including the general manager, were working but apparently not able to answer the phones. How hard is it to email your customers and let them know the cruise is cancelled, refund their money and let them plan something else for their day?

      Warm welcome on country.
I loved this tour. The people of the islands gave a warm welcome and a rare opportunity to experience a smoking ceremony. Islanders shared their dances, culture and humour before morning tea. Local artists helped us screen print a tea towel or t-shirt. Such warm and expert teaching. Lunch was fresh and satisfying and later we visited the museum and the famous Top End Wedding church. It was an opportunity to visit a community where culture and language are alive. Such a wonderful experience.

      Wonderful Experience
The early start from the Cullen Bay Marina was well worth it and the two and half hours ocean crossing to Wurrumiyanga simply spectacular - such vast blue waters. The AAT Kings Tour with Adam (our driver) and Trevor (our tour guide) was fabulous - friendly, amusing, educational, warm and informative. Loved the church (also in Top End Wedding), museum, delicious fresh lunch, art demonstration and smoking ceremony. A truly wonderful day out. Mind you the return ferry trip was a little bumpy but still very enjoyable. All staff on the ferry and tour were truly respectful, helpful and friendly.

      An extraordinary journey!
It was an amazing tour in a wonderfull land with really special first nation people. Especially, we met a great guide named Buffy that helps us to discover firs nation tradition, dance, culture and painting practice. Also, reality interesting was the visit to the local church and to their museum. I highly recommend booking this tour and discovering the wonderful land of Tiwi Island with its wonderful traditions!

      Disappointingly tour was cancelled....
I booked, seeing a few reviews that this tour was cancelled at short notice on occasion, and hoped that wouldn't happen on this occasion. Sadly, I was also unlucky and the tour was cancelled the evening before. Communications cited "mechanical issues" but having seen that in other reviews and that it was late on a Sunday afternoon that they cancelled, I thought that was a bit suspect (maybe minimum numbers - not mentioned in booking - were not met). If you're keen to actually get to the islands, maybe try a different tour if available. Or when booking, knowing that there's a chance it won't go ahead and you'll be left disappointed.

Very interesting History of Tiwi Islands
We’ve heard so much about Bathurst and Melville Islands but didn’t realise they were actually part of the Tiwi Islands. We had a long ferry ride from Cullen Bay but it was so worth it. Rocky and Buffy were our guides that introduced us to their Smoko ceremony followed by a trip to the museum, and historical. Lunch was later got but fresh and healthy after which we did some screen printing for ourselves for keepsakes. Some T-Shirts and some Tea towels. All in all, a long day but very informative, cultures we didn’t know and went away far more knowledgeable. Definitely worth a visit.

Was an enjoyable trip. Lovely people on Bathurst Island. Remember to take travel sickness tablets beforehand in case of rough waters.

      Fantastic experience
We joined the trip today. Buffy and Rocky were great hosts. We really enjoyed the trip and felt we only got to experience a small part of the tiwi Islands. Ideally a couple of days on the Tiwi Islands would be much better and I’m sure we will be back. Not a cheap trip but I’ll remember the experience much longer than I remember the price.

Many thanks to Tiwi By Design Day Tour
We had a wonderful day at Bathurst Island. The crossing was smooth and we really appreciated our guide Vivian, the smoking ceremony and our walk around the town visiting among other things the museum and historic church. Lunch was scrumptious under the trees in the garden of the Arts centre, and then followed up with choosing a Tiwi Design and being involved with the process of screen printing the design on to a T shirt and a Tea towel for the two of us. It was great!

      Tiwi islands a must but.
The Tiwi Islands have always been on my bucket list, so I booked the Tiwi Islands Day Tour through SeaLink. On the day of our scheduled departure, the tour was canceled because their boat was out of action. That same day, we were contacted by SeaLink sales staff and given the option of getting a refund or rebooking the tour for another day. We chose the latter and were told that a reconfirmation email would be sent, but we never received it. With no response from SeaLink, we had to contact the sales staff again, and an email was eventually sent. We understand that ships break down, and that was not the issue. However, upon our arrival for the rescheduled tour, it was still uncertain whether the boat would be departing. The situation was chaotic, with no clear instructions, signage, or communication about the check-in process. Everyone was walking around from one area to another, unsure of what to do. We eventually got checked in and boarded the boat for the pleasant journey to the Tiwi Islands, which had a nice onboard cafe. Upon our arrival, there was more confusion. There were no signs for our tour, and the SeaLink staff kept directing us from one line to another. It seemed that our names had been added to the tour at the last minute. We were placed with an AAT Kings tour group and, at times, did not feel very welcome. The tour itself, led by the locals, was very informative and eye-opening. It's a shame it was so short. The small lunch and smoking ceremony added to the experience of this special place. The Kiwi Design art centre was nice but very pricey compared to the rest of the Northern Territory and Western Australia. For those interested in purchasing Aboriginal art and concerned about the provenance of their purchases, it's worth noting that the art center could not provide photos of the artists with their work. Overall, the Tiwi Islands and its people are wonderful, and we hope to return for a longer visit in the future.

A great cultural and artistic day
I did this tour today and it was fantastic. The tour combined a great mix of experiences including the history of the island, the cultural background and making our own screen prints. Everyone involved in delivering the tour experience was enthusiastic and knowledgeable. We had enough time to choose and create our screen print with fantastic input and guidance from several screen printing artists. It was interesting to see the different items produced by our tour group. I thoroughly enjoyed the day.

      Highly Recommend
Had an absolutely fabulous tour with Vivian, who was an informative and patient guide, especially while I struggled in the heat! I learnt a lot about the Tiwi Islands culture and history. The Welcome to Country ceremony was great, being NZ Maori, we have a similar ceremony and it was wonderful to experience another culture. The art centre was great, and I am going to frame the art we did with AJ when I get home. I hope to visit again.

Tiwi by Design: Island Magic, Artistry, and a Whole Lot of Fun!
I had an absolutely awesome day on the Tiwi by Design tour! This laid-back yet captivating experience was perfect, especially for someone like me with bad knees. The walk to the museum and church was easy and gentle on my knees, allowing me to fully enjoy the day. The Tiwi Island's rich history and culture are impressively preserved in the museum, and seeing the bullet holes in the church roof from the 1942 Darwin bombings added a powerful touch of reality. Learning about how the Catholic priest integrated Tiwi culture into Catholicism was a valuable lesson for all. The highlight was screen printing a tea towel with the talented local artists. They generously shared their knowledge, creativity, and culture, making us feel truly welcomed into their lives. Overall, it was a wonderfully relaxing and enlightening day. Special thanks to Kevin, Vivian, and Allan for making it the best!

This was a comfortable and informative way to view the vast Darwin harbour. You can choose to be out on deck if you wish but there is a perfectly good view from the air conditioned cabin. Complimentary chilled water is provided, Very smooth ride and the boat very punctual from and to the ferry terminal

We had a great time taking a spin around the beautiful Darwin harbour with this awesome professional crew on the SeaLink. The cruise is well worth taking for locals and tourists. Locals get on a cruise, I looking forward to the next Crab Claw lunch cruise and Tiwi Your.

A month later still no refund through booking.com or Sealink, both have not responded to requests.

This was a short harbor trip on a catamaran. The captain visited with us before the excursion and did commentary while cruising. Really friendly staff at the office where we purchased the tickets. A nice, short harbor cruise (45 minutes) which gave us a good feeling for where we were. We also got some interesting historical information. It was worth it for us.

We took the 11:55am Harbour cruise from Cullen Bay. We arrived early and had a walk around & grabbed a coffee/smoothie from a water side cafe. Cruise was very pleasant with an informative commentary. Staff were great & cruise was pleasant with enough information for interest but not over done. We walked down from Darwin City & grabbed a scooter back.

I think Sealink fit in a 45 minute cruise during the day between their regular ferry trips. So, we decided to give it a go & boarded at their jetty at Cullen Bay. It was very pleasant, with informative commentary along the way, accompanied, if you wanted it, by bottles of water. There were only 8 people on board, so we certainly had a choice of seats.

We actually wanted to do something longer on the water (not a dinner or sunset cruise), but couldn't find anything. It's a bit of a pity, considering Darwin is right next to a huge harbour which must have some interesting bays. I think it's a good tourist opportunity.

It was only short but I'm glad we did it.
