Get up-close access to the jumping crocodiles of the Adelaide River on this river cruise from Darwin. With the expertise and supervision of a guide, you can safely be near the saltwater crocodiles as they jump for pieces of meat dangled over the side of your boat. On the tour you also visit the Fogg Dam Conservation Reserve and peruse exhibits at Window on the Wetlands Visitor Centre.
What to Expect
After convenient pickup at your Dawin hotel, travel to Adelaide Rivera in a comfortable tour vehicle.
Board a boat for a cruise where the main event is watching as your guide dangles meat over the edge of the boat to entice saltwater crocs to jump. Learn about their biology and behavior as you cruise, keeping an eye out for white-bellied sea eagles and whistling kites.
Back on land, visit the Window on the Wetlands Visitor Centre, with views over the surrounding area and educational displays.
The day's last stop is the Fogg Dam Conservation Reserve, home indigenous birds and reptiles.
Relax on the drive back to Darwin for drop-off.

Not many crocodiles

We spent an hour cruising the river and while the trip was interesting and the guide entertaining and informative, we only saw two crocodiles. One swam around the boat and later a smaller one appeared and did leap up to take the meat. Maybe it...More

Great Experience

Great Experience, would do it again. Lots of crocodiles and so close. Got some really good photographs of this gigantic creatures

Fantastic

We saw heaps of crocs jumping at it was overall a great experience. We have taken multiple family members on this activity and it never get old. Well worth it!

It was amazing, I loved the tour, highly recommend. We had 2 girls take our tour, Jade & I think Jenna? They were great, really awesome day.

Crocs are massive!

We were collected at our hotel. I know the company picked up others at various different hotels on the way. Would be worth calling them to see if they can get you where you dock or what would be the nearest hotel for pick up.
