From start to finish this was an excellent day and tour Started at 0555hrs and returned to Alice Springs at 0130hrs the following day. yes it is long but it wa swell worth the trip I travlled with My cousin and we both said the same. Fiully briefed on route and both tour guides were absolutely magic You were well fed and watered at every opportunity even to the the extent ogf being given electrolite tablets First stop was breakfeast which was a lovely hot buffet just the perfect way to start the day each stop we refreshed our water and were given fruit or muesili bars to keep us going even lunch was nice chicken both guides Gav and Ed kept us fully intrigued with their knowledge along the way each stop for a walk was around 40 minutes and was not hazardous and just about right sunset and evening BBQ were superb Although a toilet onboard there was regular stops It was a great day and thoroughly recommend this trip to anyone in the area Well done EMU RUN thank you for a memorable day i will never forget .

Almost all tours to Uluru (Ayers Rock) require a desert sleepover of one or two nights. This tour by the classy local tour company Emu Run is precisely planned and well-executed by two knowledgeable driver-guides. They manage in one very long day to provide out of Alice Springs a complete scenic and historic experience. Our group's food included a small buffet breakfast, a packaged sandwich lunch, and a BBQ of steak and numerous salads, with wine, while watching sunset on the rock. The trip included two 30-minute informative hikes on different sides of Uluru. In my opinion, this long day is packed with experiences, information and insights, and scenic wonder and is an efficient and meaningful way in one day to visit a unique region, Central Australia. Because Alice Springs is distant from the principal East Coast attractions of Australia, getting there requires a special effort. Come, and I'm pretty certain you'll leave with indelible memories, an understanding of local and Aboriginal history and culture, and remarkable photographs.

It was fantastic! You get collected from your hotel, breakfast, lunch, guided tours, sunset dinner and various stops along the way. Reece and Bridget were fantastic guides. It was above and beyond my expectations, highly recommended.

This was an amazing trip, well worth the early start. The breakfast at Erldunda was
excellent and the lunch of a prepared wrap was adequate (it would have been nice to include a juice box). We found the stops at KataTjuta and Uluru enhanced by the young guides stories of the Dreamtime. The BBQ sunset dinner was amazing with plenty of excellent food washed down with champagne or wine as we watched the colours change on the rock. We were kept on a pretty tight schedule and no one was late returning to the bus so we thought Tony could have given us a few more minutes at the end seeing we then reached Alice 30 minutes early.

Both guides were amazing on this tour. The right mix of friendly & really knowledgeable. I really appreciated the stories on the bus out to Uluru. I had heard sanitized versions on another bus going into Alice, so it was great to hear less “edited” versions with the Emu guides. The information at Uluru about the Anangu was presented well, with real attempts to make people get a better understanding of culture. The food was all great, & there were lovely little touches (like wet cold towels) along the way which made it extra great. Highly recommend!

At the age of 62 I am saddened to say this was my first visit to the red centre. This company are really the consummate professional’s if this tour was anything to go by.
Picked up from our motel by Clyde in a luxurious coach with the best seating ever.
Onto the breakfast buffet style at Erldunda then to Uluṟu.
Brittany took over the tour duties from here and she knows all you needed to know for the rest of the day.
The sunset BBQ with bubbly or red wine was a fantastic way to end the day.
Well done to Clyde and Brittany for making my wife’s birthday such a memorable experience.
I can’t recommend this trip for anyone thinking about highly enough. I know you will always find 1 whinger when it comes to reviews but just keep swiping past.

Was a really great day out! At first, I was a bit unsure about sitting on a bus for 10 hours for the return journey from Alice Springs, but it was actually very enjoyable. The drive to Uluru was broken up with breakfast and stops and great commentary and there was plenty to see. The Olgas were absolutely incredible and Uluru was beautiful. The only small criticism I would have is that our time at Uluru felt a bit rushed. We were in and out again - no time to really wander and just take it all in with some time to yourself. The bbq dinner was good too! The drive home felt longer than the drive out but you can always nap or have some movies downloaded onto your phone. I noticed that there were USB outlets next to the seat buckles too. I am very glad I decided to book and be able to tick this bucket list item off while staying in AS for work! 🙌

This tour was very popular with my family of two adults, a 13 year old and an 8 year old as it started after dawn!! The bus was clean and the guide was informative and fun.
I would have liked more time at Kata Tjuta but that was my fault as the web site provided the correct information. The guided walks around Uluru were informative and enjoyable. The visitors centre was interesting.
The bbq was lovely, plenty of food and drink, no one was hungry or thirsty. It goes without saying that the view was truly magical!
This tour is perfect for mobile children and adults, I would go it again but be aware that there is not a lot of Kata Tjuta which really is a hidden gem.

We took the One Day Uluru Tour from Alice Springs (UDT). Great experience. A must do for those who do not want to drive the 1000 km round trip themselves. We were picked up at 5.45am, transferred to a big comfortable coach, given morning tea at 10 am, and reached Uluru in time for lunch at 12 noon. Then taken round The Rock and The Olgas with a knowledgeable guide all afternoon. The BBQ at sunset in front of Uluru was tasty, filling and all round great. (All meals were included). Well worth the money. We would highly recommend this tour.

How do you suggest we dress for this tour during August/Winter? Comfortable sneakers, hiking boots, hat etc? Is there much hiking involved?

Hello, I am guessing it is because of Covid 19. Despite the time frame being some time off, we are advised that there will probably not be any overseas travel, either outgoing or incoming for probably at least 12 months. Northern Territory has a high Indigenous Community who runs a Higher risk if exposed and I would suggest their State of Northern Territory will be slow to relax travel restrictions. I do sympathise. I had planned 3 trips this year...still fighting to get some refunds!!!

Others have correctly stated that effective around October 2019, climbing is no longer permitted. You are able to visit the area at Uluru where climbs commenced, and can see the "trail" imbedded in the rock.

A google search would be your best bet but I am pretty sure that they do this run daily. It is a fantastic day and to be honest we were not all that tired even though it was a very long day but so worth it.

Be very careful though who you book with - we booked with Viator and comms through them has been ver6 challenging at best. We booked weeks ago and still are not sure if they have passed on our messages of our hotel location and food choice. Fingers crossed.
*Likely to sell out: Based on Viator’s booking data and information from the provider from the past 30 days, it seems likely this experience will sell out through Viator, a Tripadvisor company.
