About
The Blue Mountains National Park is a dissected sandstone plateau with spectacular gorges, cliffs, waterfalls and forests.
As time is precious we head straight to the mountains after picking you up at your hotel.
We start the day by taking in a number of wonderful lookouts and vistas (5 in all).
The day is completely flexible and from this point we have a few choices.
We can do a bushwalk of 1, 2 or 3 hours duration and will send further information if you are interested.
Alternatively we can include a visit to Scenic World with a smaller bushwalk.
If you prefer not to bushwalk at all we can visit Wentworth Falls and quaint Leura Village or go further afield and visit Mt Tomah Botanical Gardens.
For lunch we bring fresh 24 hour fermented sourdough bread with a range of fillings and two freshly made salads.
Other places that can be visited upon request include a glow worm tunnel or Sydney Zoo to see native animals.

About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- marechalm20240 contributionsWonderful experienceIt was a wonderful experience, where we enjoyed incredible landscapes. Our guide (Greg) picked us up directly at our hotel, and planned the day according to what we wanted to see/do. We're a family of 4 adults (parents + 2 grown up daughters) We started by a ~2h30 walk (including all the photo breaks) on the coastal track, heading up to the wedding cake rock. Greg provided us some nice information on the geology, birds and plants around us. After this nice walk we had a great healthy lunch that Greg prepared for us. We then went to the Wattamolla falls, and to the Symbio Wildlife park. Greg managed to bring us there just at the time where the feeding of the koalas happened. The animal keeper also provided nice information. We fed the kangaroos, the wallabies and the emus. At the park closure we went to the Sea Cliff Bridge, and to the Wombarra beach. It was right at sunset, and we got really nice pictures. Greg also took some family pictures and sent them just the day after. Since going to the Royal National Park via public transport is close from the nightmare, that was a great opportunity for is to visit it. We highly recommend it!Written September 17, 2024
- Freedom8134260 contributionsPerfect dayGreg adapted the journey to our needs and interests. Beautiful day in winter. I don't think we could have learned more in 9 hours. Thanks for the photos, Greg!Written July 24, 2024
- kamif5210 contributionsHighlight of our time in SydneyWe opted for the hike to Eagle Rock with Greg. The scenery was breathtaking, and Greg was knowledgeable about various things (including birds and flora) we saw. He also knew the best locations off the trail to stop to see sites, such as interesting rock formations or colorations, waterfalls, etc. Greg also told us to be looking for humpback whales as they should be starting their northward migration soon. We originally saw 2-3 working their way north. Later there were 4-5 that were doing fin slaps, breaches, and tail slaps repeatedly--the whales put on an excellent show! Greg was good about giving us time to "soak in" the scenery along the way, and you could tell he also personally enjoys going to the various spots (even though he has probably seen it many times before). With this being a private tour (just the 2 of us plus Greg), we were able to set a pace and length that worked for us as well as provide input on what to include in the day based on our interests (e.g., we opted to not go to the Symbio Wildlife Park so that we could focus on various scenic spots such as Bald Hill, Sea Cliff Bridge, etc.). We also enjoyed the lunch that Greg provided (very well equipped and prepared--much better than we do for ourselves when out hiking!). This tour was definitely a highlight of our time in Sydney! Without Greg's tour, we wouldn't have been able to enjoy the sights in the Royal National Park.Written June 2, 2024
- TonyMFromChicago0 contributionsHad a wonderful dayI can't say enough good things about Greg. He was prompt, pleasant, fun, interesting, well informed, well organized, patient, and flexible. We thoroughly enjoyed our day at Symbio Wildlife Preserve and Royal National Park.Written January 12, 2024
- korolukirene0 contributionsNimble Tour reviewMy two days with Greg were amazing and fun. As a solo traveler and non driver getting off the beaten track is either impossible or too time consuming using public transport. I provided Greg with a list of everything I wanted to do and see and got to do everything on my list and more. He took specific photos for me, did the Wedding Cake Rock walk at my pace which is pretty slow due to an injury, went swimming with me and located my obscure attractions. He is informative, organized, prepared, a great conversationalist, drives carefully, selects and prepares delicious food, and an all round lovely guy. I highly recommend Nimble Tours to anyone that wants a bespoke tour or hates tour groups.Written January 10, 2024

- nzp0ppy0 contributionsFantastic day at Royal National ParkAbsolutely brilliant. Greg was helpful, great advice and loved our day at the Royal National Park. The highlight being fhe stunning coastal walk and views, eagle rock (and the music). But then we stopped counting the whales after 30, waterfalls, lyrebird, swim, bridge - it was all fabulous. Beautiful lunch and a very enjoyable day. Thanks Greg and we will definitely recommend you to others. Im so appreciative to the person who recommended this tour to us.Written June 5, 2023
- Mr_Sudhir0 contributionsA wonderful, pleasant, enjoyable tourIt was a wonderful experience going along with Anne Maree to the Symbio Wildlife Park where we were lucky to see the cassowary. The trip continued to the Bald Hill Lookout where the view was beautiful and then a walk along the iconic Sea Cliff Bridge. This was followed by a healthy lunch packed by Greg. The trip concluded with a memorable Rainforest Walk where Greg and Anne gave us informative details about the forest and then a visit to the scenic Wattamolla picnic area. Many memories made!Written April 11, 2023
- Yukosu0 contributionsGreat day out to Royal National Park with a professional driver/guideWe had a great experience joining this day tour to Royal National Park by Sydney Nimble Tours. It was a perfectly private guided tour, so we were able to decide what to do accordingly to the weather and our conditions. That day we had fine but a bit hot weather so our great driver/guide Greg took us to Big Marley Trail first thing in the morning (before the temperature goes too high) which led us to magnificent viewpoints overlooking Marley beach, Wedding Cake Rocks, other various incredible earth formations. That was really worthwhile. Then we took a delicious and healthy picnic lunch Greg prepared for us. When we walked he provided us with adequate cold water which was really essential in such a hot day, also some snacks and fruits. After the walk we visited Bold Hill Lookout where we enjoy fabulous landscape of NSW coastline including the Secret Bridge. As we were leaving Australia very soon it baca me an unforgettable memory to us.Written January 26, 2023

- 919sandyn0 contributionsThis tour was the highlight of our Sydney TripWe had the best time on our private tour with Greg. He was very friendly and provided so much information throughout our time with him. There were plenty of options on which area we wanted to see in the royal national park. We were very impressed with his knowledge on hidden gems throughout the park, we managed to visit a waterfall to ourselves where we got to swim and have lovely pictures taken.Greg provided a delicious lunch which was a nice way to recover from our hike to Eagle Rock (which we highly recommend seeing!)During the tour Greg was taking amazing photos which was sent to us after the tour, we also loved the T-shirt we got. The day with Greg was the highlight of our Sydney trip, we would recommend anyone visiting Sydney to do this tour!Written December 2, 2022
- 106clarem0 contributionsFantastic Day out with Greg. Highly Recommended!A great day out with Greg in the Royal National Park. As first time visitors to the area he took us to places we would have never found on our own. He was so flexible, knowledgeable and great company! Highly recommended and so much better than joining a large group.Written October 29, 2022
- SaritaNair290 contributionsA wonderful day at Royal National ParkI had a wonderful experience with beautiful beaches, rain forest walk, marvelous look outs and cool animal encounters in Royal National Park. I was accompanied by my elderly mom and Greg was very helpful and supportive throughout the trip by customizing it with her health situations. He is extremely friendly and informative.Written October 3, 2022
- nathanhamelund910 contributionsGreat hike. Fantastic viewsGreg is a fantastic guide. His meticulous planning for the day is superb. He offered to pick us up from our Airbnb which made the travel so much more smooth. Greg is passionate about nature and photography and this is evident in his tour. He does recommend good walking shoes and one should not slough this off…wear hiking shoes! Greg keeps a fast pace to ensure you get the most of your day so be ready to walk and hike about 8 miles. My wife and I LOVED this tour. Spend the money and enjoy your day with Greg.Written September 14, 2022

My friends and I loved every part of the trip especially having Greg as our tour guide. He is the most hardworking, passionate and nicest tour guide I have met thus far. He fed us with information along the way. He carefully guided us through the trails but he set strict rules about boundaries in us taking selfie too near to the edges for our safety. He prepared simple but yummy picnic lunch for us. He took great pictures for us. So glad to have have him as our superb tour guide.
The part that left a deep impression was at Lincoln's Rock. The sky was blue, the sun was setting. It was breath-taking. It was well worth the hike.
So thankful for the good weather and blessed to have Greg as our guide.

Thank you Luvpea! Very much enjoyed the two days myself. I hadn't been to Jenolan Caves for many years and that was a bonus, even with the long drive in. Warm regards, Greg

About to leave Australia after many years here so we decided to go somewhere interesting, and we’re glad we chose Greg from Sydney Nimble Tours to lead the way. Not our first tour with Greg but definitely the one most worth remembering! He took us to see so many breath-taking views and opened our eyes to a whole new different side of Blue Mountains. We enjoyed his hospitality and the talks along our long drives. Definitely a 10-star trip!

We spent a full day at the Blue Mountains on a tour with Greg. The Three Sisters rock formation were very fun, and the Fern Cathedral was gorgeous, but my favorite was the enormous waterfall and Greg provided a delicious lunch and we dined at the waterfall. The Blue Mountains are quite an experience. Greg customized our tour to meet exactly what we had indicated were our interests. I highly recommend the tour.

The Blue Mountains area has some of the best national parks in Australia. It is a pleasure to take a small group on a personalised tour of both the well known and off beat places in the mountains. Thank you for sharing your comments about the day. Warm regards, Greg.
