    Pretty garden with beautiful lizards
Very beautiful garden with plenty of little animal residents too. Gorgeous lizards, koi fish, spiders and birds. Really enjoyed wandering around.

    Not bad but not much
Overall if you’re bored I’d definitely recommend going but if you’re only in Sydney for a limited amount of time then don’t bother. For the fee to get in there’s not much to entertain.

Lovely garden in the middle of Sydney
Wonderful oasis in Sydney. We stumbled on this venue while wandering back to our hotel. It really is a lovely garden with waterfalls, flowers, rock formations. There Are wonderful large lily ponds with large flowers- quite breathtaking. The lizards were sitting on rocks and absorbing the warmth.

Great way to spend a few houses
Truly beautiful gardens. Great to explore and wind down. At the end stop off for lunch at the tea house. If you have a spare hour or so and are in the city, I'd definitely recommend visiting

    Peaceful experience
I easily could have spent much longer here. It was so peaceful and serene. Watching the koi being fed was lovely, and seeing all the wild water dragons was very cool.

    A wonderful and relaxing place!
In the middle of the city, a place where you can get away from everyday life. A nicely and painstakingly built oasis where you should be careful not to step on a lizard. There are a lot of them and they are surprisingly inconspicuous. You should go here with time and enjoy the atmosphere and relaxation.

    Tranquil & Serene
Take time to experience this beautiful garden skirting Sydney city. Mesmerising setting with small waterfalls dotted around green foliage. Chinese inspired buildings/temples help give you the full experience

    Beautiful, relaxing Chinese Garden
Georgeos Gardens which are carefully designed with the Yin-Yang principles in mind. There are many examples of balancing opposites. Love the exploring of the different temples, Lotuspond with the many Water dragons and Koi. There are so many hidden little places to explore. Make sure not to miss the cute little Buddha and the scattered Zodiac Signs throughout the Garden. Highly recommend it, I will definitely visit it again earlier in the day to be able to enjoy tea in the authentic Teahouse overlooking the Lotuspond. Entrance Fee well worth it, and really not expensive.

    Anniversary Date! ♡
The waterfall was amazing, went there with my boyfriend for our six month anniversary. We live 3 hours away, was worth the travel! The people are nice and aren’t too interactive, it’s amazing how close you can get to the animals, and the koi fish were beautiful. We loved it.

    Absolutely Beautiful - Highly Recommended
What an amazing place right in the heart of Sydney. Well worth the $12ea to get in. Well laid out paths leading you through a wide range of planted area's, Chinese buildings and water features. Huge number of large Koi in the pools and gecko's sunning themselves on the rocks. Lots of places to sit and chill. Highly recommended.

Different from other Chinese Gardens in the USA
We had time to kill before our rooms were ready, so we walked over not expecting much. It was a pleasant surpise to see how nice this garden was. We liked it more than similar gardens in Seattle, Portland, San Marino (Huntington Gardens), Hamilton NZ, The odd touch were the big lizards (iguana?) and ibis that roamed around like they owned the place. I wouldn't call if peaceful due to the amount of street noise and the high rise buildings surrounding the garden. But I would go back there again.

    Beautiful gardens
These gardens are not very big but big enough to walk around for an hour or two. It is well set out and worth visiting. We didn't go to the restaurant but would love to next time as they looked lovely. We feed the fish and loved our walk around the gardens. It does cost to get in but not too much.

Having wandered past here numerous times and thought that it was just a tiny garden I could haven’t been more wrong. The garden is huge and full of little hidden gems when walking around. The water falls and features including the “over fed Goldfish” or Koi swimming in the lake are just gorgeous the whole way around. You could spend a good couple of hours in here soaking in the peaceful nature and tranquility. You kind of forget you’re in the heart of the city at times.

There are opportunities ‘for the gram’ the whole way around the garden. So don’t be shy in getting a pose or two in front of the waterfalls or in the Bamboo forest. Would definitely visit again

Lovely garden to spend some time and enjoy the scenery of small lakes and water features in the calming gardens in the middle of the busy city.

If you are interested you should allow at least 60mins to enjoy and get into it.
We only speant 45 mins as we had a lunch to go to but would loved to have spent a bit more time there.

We were looking for open spaces for appropriate social distancing as the corona virus began to hit Sydney, and we found The Chinese Garden of Friendship. What a beautiful place to sit, walk, reflect, rest, and learn about Oriental gardening principles. The restaurant was closed, but when we return in the future we will be able to enjoy tea and the colorful views here.

What a great little hidden gem close to Darling Harbour. it was very tranquil and not too busy. There is a lot to see and good value for money. Take your time when you come here and soak up the chilled meditative vibes. The garden is amazing along with the history of the area. It’s not often you get to see and enjoy a day amongst great Chinese traditional buildings outside of China. we did luck having good weather I would be unsure what it would be like on a rainy day. There is a restaurant or tea Garden in the garden which we did not get to enjoy due to time restraints. I highly recommend taking at least two hours to get around the garden and enjoy it thoroughly.

The Chinese Garden of Friendship is always a winner. Despite there being no 'activity' it is so lovely to just stroll around the gardens and look at all of the different plants, as well as admiring the little critters that call the gardens home: the koi fish in the pond, the turtles and the bearded dragons are all wandering (swimming) around if you stop to look. Picnics are not frowned upon either. The Chinese garden is a delightful slice of serenity in the middle of the city, and at only $4 a ticket for students, you really can't complain about wasting your money either.

Decided to take a small break and explore this garden based on the reviews. Definitely not disappointed at all and really surprised at how amazing it was. Our 14 year old loved the place, and every single point along the way gave amazing photo opportunities. If we lived in Melbourne and worked in the CBD I would definitely have a yearly membership!

The creators of the Chinese Peace Gardens definitely knew what they were doing. The gardens are laid out along a circular path thru structures, streams and a pagoda. There is a tea house as well. If you like oriental style gardens, this should be on your list.

Wow - what an amazing place. We were in Sydney for only two weeks (November 2021) but are delighted that we took time to visit this amazing garden. It is exquisitely laid out and exudes an air of total tranquility.

In my view - well worth a visit.

The Chinese garden of friendship is truly amazing, what a beautiful place to visit in the heart of Sydney.
We were out looking for somewhere to grab some food when we came across the gardens and decided to go in and wait to eat later!
Worth every penny, very reasonably priced at $12 each you free to stroll around at your leisure, stop, sit and just enjoy the tranquility of the gardens.
The gardens are so relaxing and tranquil, we would have spent longer but
a security guard came to find us and tell us the gardens were closing!
Well worth a visit, one not to be missed.

Hi Jofrod, What a happy accident that you stumbled on the Garden. We close at 5pm and recommend all visitors arrive before 4pm to give themselves enough time to enjoy the tranquility of the Garden. Next time feel free to bring your food in the Garden and use one of the available tables to have your lunch inside our walls. All the best.

Lovely gardens that are much larger than we imagined, being in a small corner of Sydney we almost missed it. Beautifully maintained & cared for gardens. Peaceful & quiet even the geckos are chilled. There was a feeding frenzy when the Koi were fed but that settled quickly. The pagodas are majestic, the symbolism strong. Lovely visit.
