- Camper571027365240 contributionsA fulfilling experienceThe SCG, for me has always been one of those iconic grounds that I wanted to visit. So today, that was done. Was a lovely tour, a lot of trivia thrown in.... Was simply awesome to walk into and experience the dressing rooms, the ground itself and soak in that atmosphere. Will always stay in my memory. Am so glad I did this!!Written July 27, 2024

- pgc600 contributionsSCG tourThis is a fabulous tour of one of the most famous cricket grounds in the world. The tour was well organised and well presented, giving a great overview of the historical significance and the modern day stadium. The guide was great, with extensive knowledge of facts and figures and a friendly, humorous attitude. The group wasn't too big, so there was a chance to ask questions and the tour progressed at a suitable pace to take everything in and get a proper look at things. If you like cricket, don't miss this.Written January 14, 2024
- X9469RLrogerg0 contributionsA highlight of my trip to SydneyMy walking tour of the iconic SCG on Dec 23, 2023, was a highlight of my trip to Sydney. We were given access to all the key areas, including the players' dressing rooms, the press boxes, the stands, the dining areas & the Members bar. All of this built up to a walk on the hallowed turf of the SCG pitch itself. Superb. And a special thanks to our wonderful tour guide, Kaz, who shephered our group round at a leisurely pace with great patience & humour, allowing ample time for photos & questions. Another star of an overall fantastic experience which I would strongly recommend.Written December 30, 2023
- Murray Y0 contributionsSCG tourGood tour of the of the SCG. I learned a few things on the day. I’d recommend to do this. We went a bit over time which was great. I could have spent the whole day there reading all of the plaque’s and looking at the memorabilia.Written November 19, 2023
- gsclash10 contributionsThe History of the SCG in a 90 minute Tour, the incidents and the people that have made the SCGA group of 4 of us , from various non nsw states, did the scg tour last week. I can highly recommend the tour particularly for anyone with an interest in cricket. Access to the Members stand was the highlight including the players rooms. The tour guide Stuart was excellent and his banter gave us all a laugh. Do itWritten November 17, 2023
- Shaolinwill0 contributionsLoved it... Now Boxing Day.We visited the SCG on the morning of 22nd of October for the approximate 11am slot, I honestly can't remember the exact time but it's give or take 20 minutes, though the date was right. The tour guide was a lady who works in a primary school, again I can't remember the name, but the lady was fantastic. I'm 39 years old, and I was a tad excited at the prospect of walking the long room. The tour was fantastic, the stories about Yabba, the various rolls of honour, and of course the late, great Phillip Hughes. If I was back in Sydney tomorrow, I'd be booked into this tour. I'm an Irish man who loves England cricket, but while growing up and watching cricket throughout the years, despite the dislike and despise I had for various Aussie cricketers, there was always that degree of admiration for how good they were, and for me, to walk in the footsteps of those greats was absolutely fantastic. The tour had a group of kids who were on a birthday party/outing. The kids were always upto no good, but they were absolutely amazing. The knowledge of those kids and the presser they gave in the media room was amazing. If you read this, thank you, you gave us a great chuckle! Again, the tour was fantastic and I recommend it.Written November 9, 2023

Although the weather was quite wet and windy the tour guide did a great job of avoiding the weather where possible. Very good insight into the history of the ground, Australian cricket and other events held at the ground. I’d highly recommend the tour for any cricket fan.

Thoroughly recommend this 90 min access all areas tour that has something for the cricket buff and also the mildly interested. Well led by the entertaining and engaging Jim Robson who guides you through all the key areas in the ground such as the pavilions, dressing rooms, media areas, with associated anecdotes and key information about the terrific history. Plenty of opportunity to take photos from the key parts of the ground, view the statues and commemorations as well as the museum that reflects all the various sports that have taken place at this historic stadium.

Despite being overcast and raining at first, there was sunshine to finish. The guide was knowledgeable, gave excellent insights and related the history, as we accessed areas behind the scenes and even stepped onto the edge of the sacred grass. Wonderful historic old buildings merge beautifully with newer facilities and all dedicated to sport (cricket and the great game, Australian Rules Football). The museum was surprisingly small but contained unquestionable treasures.
A worthwhile and enjoyable experience.

We were visiting Sydney from LA for a family union and took the afternoon tour on July 14th (2.00 PM). The gentlemen who conducted was very nice, professional, shared several behind the scenes stories and had a good sense of humor. He also answered lot of questions from the group.
We were really impressed by the museum and took lot of pictures and shared them with our family and friends. Since we are cricket loving/playing family, several of our friends will make it a point to take the tour when they are visiting Sydney.
Keep up the good work!

I LOVED this tour! We visited the Members Pavilion in considerable detail, and it is absolutely gorgeous. I found the changing rooms particularly interesting, and the long bar is a truly lovely room.
We were also given a fine panoramic view of the stadium, which was well worthwhile, and we were allowed onto the edge of the playing surface, from which one had a very good view of the pavilion as one would see it while leaving the field.
The guide was superb and managed a large group amazingly well. He was eminently sociable, with excellent humour, and superbly informed. He had particularly impressive depth of knowledge of some of the key incidents at the ground, notably the spectator physically accosting John Snow in the 1970-71 series. He also answered questions intelligently yet succinctly, for instance describing the issues that led to the demise of "the hill".
I cannot speak highly enough of the tour. It was advertised to last 90 minutes but in fact lasted for a little over two hours. That was probably in part because of the number of participants, but the time flew past as it was so impressive.

Highlight of the whole of Sydney trip. Best sport tour I have ever done by some distance and I have done many stadium tours of iconic sporting areas (including Wembley / Amsterdam arena / Lords / Old Trafford and many more… ).
Stuart our guide absolutely made it, incredibly welcoming, the little touches like knowing your name as you walked in shaking your hand immediately made me feel at home and welcomed. His knowledge and passion for the ground was firstly class, he gave insightful personal anecdotes but also from players / coaches and staff he had encountered.
Whilst there was a set route as it was a quiet day he showed us some other places and we even ended up getting some time on the outfield! The tour was advertised at 1h 30 but in reality took about 2 hours, which Stuart checked in with everyone about as we went around, this was purely down to us all having such a great time due to his insight and passion.
It was great to end the tour in a beautifully curated museum, with the tiniest gift shop you have ever seen. The lady in there (apologies forgot her name) was equally as welcoming and insightful as Stuart.
I often feel on these tours you are just a number with a dollar sign over your head and they drop you off in the glitzy superstore to squeeze more cash out of you.
SCG tour couldn’t be further from this, genuine people with genuine passion for what they do. It feels like they are letting you into their home and a place they love and want you to come away feeling the same love, pride and passion you do.
SCG it was a blast, I will definitely be back for an ashes test sometime soon!

Our guide for the day, Stewart, made the tour! He saw a couple of us waiting outside before our tour time and invited us onto the grounds so we could visit the museum a couple of minutes before our tour started. Our tour group started with a brief movie of the history of the SCG, viewed the grounds from the seats from above, walked around on the pitch, and viewed the locker rooms. Stewart was enthusiastic and answered all of the group questions well. Would highly recommend this tour if you are a cricket fan.

Excellent tour. Guide was polite, courteous and her presentation and story telling/anecdotes just great. The SCG tour is for everyone; not just cricket or AFL aficionados. If one is interested in early Australian and Sydney history, then this tour is great value and will addsto your knowledge base in many ways. As a cricket and AFL follower (and sports more generally), and history, I found this tour really informative.
Highly recommended.

Another great tour which I would highly recommend to any cricket fan.
This tour has it all, starting from the museum and gift shop area which had some serious pieces of sporting history in it, too the statue promenade area with memorial statues for some greats of the game, then into the stadium dressing rooms and pitch side walk which is again a surreal experience. It was great. On top of that our tour guide was very knowledgeable and answered all the questions we asked.
Definitely recommend to any cricket fan! Great time
