Our colony of Grey Nurse Sharks range in size from 1 to 3 metres, and when you dive with us, you get to enter their domain –without cages! In the wild, Grey Nurse Shark populations are protected and in serious decline. Captive populations and breeding programs are very important in learning more about these amazing creatures. Dive in with Murdoch & Freckles, the Grey Nurse Sharks who were both born at SEA LIFE attractions in Australia, and have now found a home here at SEA LIFE Sydney. On your dive you’ll also meet other Sydney local marine life including sea turtles, huge stingrays (and we mean HUGE), Port Jackson Sharks, Wobbegong Sharks and hundreds of amazing sea creatures!

Awesome adventure
Mar 2020
This is so much fun, I have never dived before and the amazing Kristo, Reka and Ali made me feel so comfortable during the training. An incredible experience to be up close to the sharks and stingrays. Value for money and never felt like we were being rushed. I highly recommend this experience if you are in Sydney.

Beware if you have health problems
Mar 2020
I booked the experience and yes I was aware that they require doctors authorization if you have medical problems. My doctors approved for me to dive but I didn't have a local, Sydney official dive doctor approval so I wasn't allowed to dive. I understand it was for my safety as well as the safety of the animals. I wish the explanation on the website was more thorough about which type of doctor approval was needed. I didn't get a refund as that's their policy which wasn't a big deal. The only reason I gave 3 stars was because of a great chat with Denise online. She is worth 5 stars.

Perfect for beginner diver.

If you are afraid of diving in the ocean, this is where to start.
One hour instruction is very simple and clear then you dive with sharks and ray for 30 minutes. You may feel uncomfortable at first but the instructors were very helpful (and funny).

There is also photo package (pay extra) but it's worth it. Our instructor will try to capture everyone along with the shark. You cannot bring your own camera when dive.

They have private shower room where you change and keep your belongings in there while diving. They only have bath shampoo but you can bring your own. No hair dryer and towels provided (they indicate this in website).
You can get back to the aquarium zone after dive.

It is a great experience for anyone who wants to dive with sharks but may not want to come face to face with them in the wild!

Must do experience
Feb 2020
I recently did the Shark Dive Extreme at Sydney Aquarium. We had a small group of 5 with 2 Instructors with us at all times.
I had never scuba dived before but our instructors Bruna and Ali were fantastic.
Our safety and comfort was their main priority before, during and after the dive.
They were so patient with all of us.
Their love and respect for the sharks and other sealife is very evident.
This activity is perfect for someone wanting an introduction to scuba diving.
You will be amazed as the sharks and other animals glide past your face or swim up next to you.
I would definetly recommend this activity.

Couldn't rate the experience any higher! The dive itself was incredible, and the degree of interaction with the sharks (and other marine life) was well beyond what I could have hoped for. The instructors were also very kmowledgeable on both the diving process and sharks themselves, which made for an entertaining, educational and safe experience. It definitely made me want to pursue further diving experiences as well. If you want to find out how amazing these animals really are, I highly recommend Shark Dive Xtreme.

Great entry level diving experience
Jan 2020
Diving has always been on my to-do list and although fearful of panicking underwater or something going wrong, our instructor Brett was very friendly and excellent at alleviating my fears with his extensive knowledge and experience. Once underwater you get to chill with all sharks, stingray and fish, some swimming a few inches from your head. Overall an enjoyable and worthwhile experience.
