Magnificent beaches, great wineries, quaint cool towns, country pubs… Begin with a drive through the secluded splendour of the Royal National Park, then come upon the spectacular Illawarra coastline (a little Big Sur) and take in the view from Bald Hill, walk the distinctive Sea Cliff Bridge and cruise Grand Pacific Drive in style. Next is the cute coastal town of Kiama with its harbour and blowhole, then on to the wineries of the Shoalhaven to sample their wares before lunch in the beautiful dairy town of Berry. Climbing up the escarpment to the Southern Highlands, we dip through rainforest, into quaint Kangaroo Valley and over historic Hampden Bridge. And finally, the majesty of Fitzroy Falls before heading back to the big smoke Beauty and history, this tour has beaches, scenery, wineries and plenty of quaint towns and country pubs, if that’s what takes your fancy

          Sydney in a day
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the tour given by Peter. He gave us a day of special sights and key attractions. He also accommodated our special requests and seamlessly incorporated into our tour. His knowledge of Sydney was special and you can tell he loves his hometown. It was a real pleasure to to have his company and we couldn't have packed more into a day on our own.

          Sydney’s Food Gems
Another seamlessly easy, fabulous food feast with Peter. I do not know how he finds these gustatory treasures, because they’re not on the tourist radar, thankfully. First up was Turkish sweets highlighted with dark and white chocolate, cherries, Nutella and fruits. Then it was back to the city for a wonderfully fresh, authentic Gado Gado (really delicious), followed by a delicate Asian chicken dish in the leafy residential suburbs of Sydney and an aromatic Persian feast featuring smoky, melt-in-your-mouth barbecued meat balanced with rice, vegetables and the most amazingly delicious tangy lemon drink I’ve ever had. All accompanied by Peter’s extensive knowledge of Sydney. He clearly plans your trip to ensure it exceeds your expectations and has thought of everything to make your trip an unforgettable and delicious introduction or continuing journey to the jewels in Sydney’s food crown.

The food I suspected Sydney has, but didn't know where to look.
Surprising locations for multicultural foods. Peter knows where it all is, just name which you want to try - or take his pick. Have never had baklava like that before! Nor the delicately smoked chicken. Each dish was new to me. Hard to pick out a favourite, all good. Thoroughly enjoyable and hassle-free day.

          Wonderful and flexible guide
Peter was a wonderful guide - he was very flexible in adjusting the planned excursions to accommodate the weather (rain and mist) and our interests in both nature and culture. This was our third time in Sydney so we had already done the most obvious sights. On the two day trips we booked with him, Peter went out of his way to guide us through other parts of Sydney and surroundings, and gave us some wonderful tips for the rest of our stay. Through our pleasant conversations we now have a better understanding of life in Sydney and in Australia in general. Looking forward to our next visit and exploring more of Sydney with Peter!

          Very Knowledgeable and Kind
We had an amazing tour all around Sydney with Peter Bailey. He was very flexible with catering the tour to our needs and was an expert on all of the places we went. He had some secret places for some great pictures of Sydney harbor and the bridge. It was also a pleasure to ride the ferry back from Manly afterwards. Peter was also able to make recommendations for my dietary needs. I would highly recommend Peter Bailey and would definitely try out some of his other tours if I return to Sydney in the future.

          We loved our tour!!
Peter is, quite simply, amazing. He's personable, knowledgeable, and expertly guided us through a busy National Park in such a way that we almost felt like we had the place to ourselves. He's made these great booklets of information about Australia and NSW that you can peruse as you drive out of the city and into nature, plus we were free to ask any and all questions we had. I would sign up for any tour with Peter. If you're thinking about it, just do it. He clearly loves what he does and where he lives. He gives great advice, can help you plan your other days, and knows what to do and where to go. We're so thankful for our day in the Blue Mountains and would go back in an instant if we could. Stunning doesn't do it justice. As a human not known for their hiking skills, know that the walks and stairs were just challenging enough. Do it. On all counts. You won't regret a moment.

          Beautiful Vistas
We loved our tour with Peter! He is soft spoken and knowledgeable about the sites we saw. He also has a great sense of humor. We went on beautiful walks that, as a tourist, we wouldn’t have known existed and the views were spectacular! We would highly recommend Peter Bailey’s services! Lynna C.

          Sydney according to Peter Bailey
My wife and I had a great day with Peter Bailey. He drove us all over Sydney showing us fabulous views, engaging in very informative conversations and showing us where to walk from Bondi Beach to Tamarama Beach. He was also great in that we needed to make a couple of stops for errands. We also stopped for a very nice lunch.

Our family had a perfect day with Peter for our short stay in Sydney. Really couldn’t have asked for anything more for our tour of the beautiful city. Also gave us a great recommendations for what to do the following day! Thanks again! Allen Family

The Sydney Melting Pot in a nutshell. Authentic cuisines, knowledgeable host and guide.
Fabulous food, and it’s all made so easy. This is a unique tour, showcasing the best of a carefully curated selection of cuisines, available all over Sydney. Peter is such a knowledgeable host, there is nothing formulaic, none of that repetitious “And we’re walking” or reading from a script. Not the herding or waiting that you expect in big groups - which means it packs more locations in, yet it feels relaxed and unhurried. And along the way, we saw some scenic parts that aren’t in the usual tours - driving over Madonna’s Bra (the ANZAC Bridge), the Parramatta ferry trip (our choice). So many memorable aromas and flavours. Mmmm… Oh, and bring a container to save some snacks for later. Well worth fasting for!

Ahhhh what bliss to be taken to such stunning locations by Peter. The drive through the Royal National Park was just lush before it lead us onto the coast and panoramic views over the Pacific Ocean. From there a quick walk took us over the impressive Sea Cliff Bridge - it's a marvel of engineering stunningly wrapping between the coast and the cliffs. Onto Kiama for harbourfront markets and the famous blowhole to round out the morning.

Berry from here for a classic pub lunch and meander through the local quaint shops. There's something for everyone in this town.

The afternoon was then spent exploring the gorgeous Kangaroo Valley, Fitzroy Falls, and Berrima. All quintessential Aussie places, yet all so unique. Amazing how different the landscape is just an hour or two out of Sydney.

The tour is a lovely way to experience both the country and the coast, there's just no way you'd be able to self navigate this adventure so comfortably or knowledgeably - Bailey's snippets of information and stories made it all so much more enjoyable. We were surprised we'd covered so much ground, and seemingly effortlessly. We didn't feel like we'd been in the van much at all and there were plenty of options for walks and stops - Peter knowing where to get the best coffee, spot a wombat or stop for spectacular views.

I'd definitely recommend organising a tour with Peter - he's easy-going yet so thoughtful like bringing us umbrellas when the rain came on one of our walks. He's exactly the kind of local guide you want. Thanks for a wonderful tour and for keeping us well clear of any nettles!

I had a wonderful day on this tour with a group of friends. Even though I have lived in Sydney all my life, Peter showed us sights I had never seen before. The coastline and view from Bald Hill were spectacular. We loved the walk along Sea Cliff Bridge and the rain and wind did not detract from our enjoyment. Peter was attentive to our needs but never intrusive. He was knowledgeable and happy to answer our numerous questions. The trip was tailored to our wishes and flexible in terms of how long we spent at each stop and where we wanted to stop. We were lucky to experience the Kiama markets on Sunday and there was time to pick up delicious local treats. We had a lovely lunch at Berry, travelled the winding bush road to Kangaroo Valley and then checked out the Fitzroy Falls. This was a perfect way to see the highlights of the South Coast and Southern Highlands. We could relax in the spacious, comfy van, enjoy the sights, our treats and each other’s company whilst Peter did all the hard work. Thank you Peter.

We had the pleasure of touring with Peter Bailey. He was promptly on time and very friendly. He gave us information on the places we visited and answered our many questions about Australia. He gave us options of what we would like to do throughout the day and never rushed us. We were very pleased with all the scenic areas he showed us. He was very easy to talk to and wanted us to have the best possible time, and we did. We saw coastal beauty, lovely beaches, quaint towns, pub stops for refreshments, a winery, beef and dairy farms, rainforest, mountain roads, and a waterfall. We also saw many beautiful and colorful birds and a couple of stingrays. Thank you Peter for sharing your information with us and making it an unforgettable day for us.

Our group of 4 active seniors had an absolutely terrific day with Peter! From his roomy VW van to his endearing personality, the day was just perfect! He tailored the trip to our requests and was flexible to amend the itinerary as we went along and found interesting areas in which to spend more time. His detailed knowledge of the area and its history made for an easy learning experience and was just simply fun.

This tour is off the beaten path and well worth the time to truly see the beauty of the region south of Sydney - from its breathtaking, non-touristy beaches to the National Park and mountain areas, forests and vales!

Clearly he has done his homework in selecting local pubs for lunch so that we had time to visit and enjoy a wonderful meal in a small, quaint village.

You won't go wrong booking with Peter!!
