Sydney's Northern Beaches and Ku-ring-gai National Park Small-Group Tour
From $135.62
Overview
Set out in search of Sydney’s sun, sand and surf on this full-day tour of the city’s famous Northern Beaches. Stroll the golden sands of Narrabeen; visit Palm Beach, where popular Aussie soap ‘Home & Away’ is filmed; and look out along the coast from The Spit and Long Reef. That’s not all: uncover Sydney’s fascinating Aboriginal heritage as you explore the Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park; admire the lavish villas along Whale Beach and ride the Manly ferry back to Circular Quay (optional).
What to Expect
Your day trip to the Northern Beaches begins with a 9am-9:30am pickup at your centrally located Sydney accommodation. Board your air-conditioned minivan for the scenic drive to Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park to learn about local Aboriginal culture while bushwalking to sacred rock engraving sites.

Next, take a Pittwater Waterways coastal drive over to Palm Beach, home to the rich and famous. Visit famous ‘Home & Away’ filming locations, such as the Summer Bay Surf Club, Alf’s Bait Shop, the Palm Beach Pier, and the Lighthouse, before enjoying an included hot lunch (if chosen) with a choice of six dishes and scenic views from the balcony at the Palm Beach Golf Club.

After lunch, travel to Narrabeen Beach, one of the best surfing spots in Sydney. Take advantage of the superb photo opportunities from Long Reef Headland, with its 43 miles (70 kilometers) of stunning coastline and where you may even be lucky enough to see a whale. Then, escape the crowds and stroll the cliffs along the Curl Curl coastal walk, stopping to admire the spectacular views of Freshwater Beach, where legendary Hawaiian surfer Duke Kahanamoku first introduced surfing to Australia.

The tour concludes with a ferry cruise on the Manly Ferry. Sail past Sydney Harbour’s entrance between North and South Heads, passing affluent waterfront suburbs, before finally the mighty Harbour Bridge and Sydney Opera House emerge into view. Your tour ends when the ferry reaches Circular Quay in the afternoon.

Lunch, transport, and national park fees are all included on this small-group day tour.
