Learn about local fauna, and see kangaroos, koalas, dingoes, Tasmanian devils, and many other Aussie creatures up close. Continue to the UNESCO-listed Blue Mountains. Stop at Flat Rock for a photo op of the Jamison Valley, and keep your camera handy for views of the national park’s iconic Three Sisters rock formation. Visit the charming mountain villages of Leura and Katoomba, and stop for lunch in a local restaurant (own expense) before heading to Scenic World—home to one of the world’s steepest railways, varying levels of nature walks, and aerial cable car (own expense). Settle in for the journey back to Sydney with a final stop at Sydney Olympic Park, where the 2000 Summer Olympic Games took place, before returning to your hotel.

Beautiful, stunning views with some walking through the mountains. Our tour leader was the best! She knew A LOT and she was super cool. I can't remember her name tough ;(. I do remember she was gonna get married with her boyfriend, who was from London!.

An Awesome Day Exploring the Blue Mountains

My husband and I absolutely thought our tour with Essey to the Blue Mountains was worth every penny. Having Essey pick us up from our hotel in Sydney and "entertain" and inform us for the drive out to the Blue Mountains was exceptional. Having a completely different experience from the sights in the City of Sydney was the icing on the cake to our total trip. We loved seeing the "Three Sisters" and the excursion (small extra charge) to Scenic World was so thrilling. Essey really made the day fun and she was full of many facts about the area, which only enhanced the experience. Honestly, Featherdale was not my favorite part of the tour, but my opinion may have been a bit skewed as we had visited the Currumbin Animal Sanctuary while on the Gold Coast, which was outstanding. I could see how many would enjoy this part of the tour to see Koalas and pet a Wallaby, so please don't be deterred by this comment. The tour was outstanding and I would do it all over again if I had the chance. Thank you, thank you, thank you, Essey and Runaway Tours for an amazing experience. G'day, Mate!

The private tour with Andrew was a unique experience. Andrew has a tremendous amount of knowledge and is extremely well-versed. He led us to beautiful places that have been spared by mass tourism so far. It was a once in a lifetime experience.

Tip: Do not visit the wildlife park, but spend time in the Blue Mountains. This is much more valuable.

Private Blue Mountains Wildlife Day Trip

We really enjoyed this trip, the scenery, and the wildlife experience. Bettina, our tour guide, was fun, friendly, and informative. We were glad to have spent the extra money to have a private tour. We ended up going to two wildlife reserves while in Australia and Featherdale proved to be the better one in terms of cleanliness and interaction with the animals. The Blue Mountains are breathtaking. Thanks for a great experience!

Runnaway Tours Australia were the BEST! From the time organizing a day tour, the tour guide Jen, my family from overseas had the best experience. I highly recommend anyone to contact Runnaway Tours and let them take your day and make handle making your memories of a life time. excellent day out of Sydney exploring the Blue Mountain area. Great to experience this with such an informative, enthusiastic guide. Steve had a great sense of humour and entertained everybody. His party trick of everyone's names is very impressive. Very highly recommended and telling all out friends about it.
