Overview

See Sydney’s sights by sea on a 4-hour whale-watching cruise. Avoid long lines at major attractions, enjoy great Sydney Harbour views, and spot whales and dolphins with informative commentary. This cruise is good for people who want to spend some time on the water and see native marine life in the wild, and experience the city’s landmarks away from the crowds.

What to Expect

Choose from a morning or afternoon departure and meet your ship at King Street Wharf. Board the vessel and enjoy a fresh breakfast or lunch buffet (Tea and coffee are included and alcoholic beverages can be purchased).

Sail through Sydney Harbour and snap photos of the Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge.

Next, your boat cruises north past Manly Beach and Watsons Bay, as you enter the open waters of the Pacific Ocean where the whale watching begins.

Thousands of humpback and southern right whales pass through this stretch of Australian coast every year, so whale sightings are guaranteed. In the occurrence that you don’t see one, you can book another cruise free of charge.

It is common to see dolphins and other marine life on the cruise and your captain provides expert commentary on the wildlife you encounter

The cruise ends back at the original departure point.

Whale watching, not for the faint of stomach

I was very excited to go on the breakfast cruise. The boat was intimate with lots of great viewing spots. We ate breakfast as we made our way out of the harbor and I had taken Dramamine to combat any motion sickness. Most of the...More

The best time around Sydney is between the months of May and November with late June and early July the ultimate for seeing them as they migrate up the coast.
