- Z5453WXlindar00Relaxing lunchtime cruise.A great way to see the beautiful harbour and Sydney sights. Our host, Peter was knowledgeable and gave us interesting information. The lunch was tasty and served to us under the shade sail. A real experience to run down the harbour with the sails set.
- 512christineq00Unique experienceBleak start with the weather but then the sun came out and we enjoyed sailing around the harbour area ,captain and crew were friendly and 2 ppl did a mast climb. The light lunch was tasty ,but don’t worry about the drinks package .
- johannah435300Well worth it!!The best part was actually travelling under sail - it was unbelievably beautiful. Our lunch and snacks were excellent and the commentary by all the staff was great. The only glitch was for my 83-year-old husband who wouldn't have been able to access the on-board toilet - steep step into the cabin and steep stairs - thank heavens he didn't need it! All in all a wonderful experience and I wouldn't hesitate to do it again.
- 135dannim00Great day out for pirate fansSuch a great day out for our pirate-mad 4 year old. It was a beautiful day on the harbour aboard the tall ship, and he was completely engaged by the pirates on board, especially the sword fight and finding the treasure! Our baby pirate loved it too. Thank you Captain Pineapple, July Roger and crew for entertaining us and sharing your love for the ship.
- Wendy T00Swashbuckling fun!We had a fabulous time today on the glittering Sydney harbour - we hoisted the sails, skippered the ship, scrubbed the decks, joined a mutiny, found hidden treasure and sang sea shanties all on the classic heritage ship The Southern Swan. This cruise was well organised, great value for money and a brilliant fun experience for our 12, 8 and 4 yo grandkids. Can highly recommend for a birthday celebration or party 🏴☠️🏴☠️🏴☠️
- VMann0900Terrible experienceThe crew looked and behaved like they were intoxicated and the ship was cold and unwelcoming. Be warned, you will be trapped for hours. Heritage does not mean rough looking staff and a badly maintained ship.
- AC000500Amazing overnight experienceMy wife and I did the overnight cruise on Sydney Harbour. Right from the start we were welcomed like family. All the crew are professional and enthusiastic. They are passionate and love to share their experiences. The next morning we woke up to the Opera House and Harbour Bridge views while we ate breakfast. Then we visited Goat island with a very informative talk. All in all, a must do!
- BrettandTracey00The most memorable afternoon & evening. Tall Ship Soren Larsen in all her glory was the venue for our wedding last week.Wow wee!!! After 2 cancellations in 2020 & 2021 due to covid, a beautiful evening was had by 58 of our closest family & friends for our wedding last week. The boat was beautiful, the staff were fantastic and the experience for everyone will certainly remain memorable for a lifetime. The catering was top quality and food just seemed to keep coming. The beers were cold, and the location on the harbour was A1. Sunsets, full moon and watching the cruise boat leave in front of us was spectacular. Happy to answer anyones questions if you’re looking at doing something a little different for your wedding.
- LWP4800Excellent way to see the harbor! We loved the ship and crew. Nice lunch and unrivaled views. 1/2 time under sail with no noise just the wind. Recommend that you have hat and windbreaker even on warm days.
- cathotch210900A great way to see Sydney come to life at nightThis was a fun way to see the sights of Sydney in a unique way. Super relaxing, interesting and if you wanted to you could get involved with helping raise the masts or even steer the ship. The meal that was served was tasty, but it could have been better by removing all nuts from the menu or at least hi-lighting what did or didn’t have nuts in. Just for reference the potato salad had almonds in when I went but everything else was ok. Other than that the whole evening was brilliant and definitely worth doing.
- L7541UBkens00Service not rendered. No compensation received. Cheated of $225I booked their Sydney Harbor Tall Ship Twilight Dinner Cruise for my daughter and her family. The cost was $225. The scheduled date was Feb. 18, 2023. On that date, I received an email saying that the trip was cancelled "due to technical issues." They provided a telephone number. Yet, despite repeated calls and emails, neither my daughter nor I have been able to receive a return call to schedule a new booking. In short, we have been cheated $225 for a service never rendered.
- Teachpet00A great way to kick-off your stay in Sydney! The crew was great. Friendly and helpful. It was hard to hear the captain but there were plenty of opportunities to converse with the crew to point out local highlights. The cruise was smooth, the food was good and plentiful. It was a great kick-off to our stay in Sydney
- Hilary L00Choose another companyTo say I was disappointed would be an understatement! This evening that held such high expectations for me and my 5 friends was an unmitigated disaster. There was no signage at the wharf, no one but security to talk to, and no idea until 6.30 that we had to divide into two groups and one group went off on their wonderful experience while we were told our ship would be another half an hour. By 7pm we were given the news our ship had broken down and would not be going out in the harbour. Our choices were, take a credit to be taken within a year or go aboard eat, drink and be entertained and see the fireworks from the ship. We were from interstate, not likely to be back in Sydney for fireworks within a year, and because we were promised we would see the fireworks from our position we chose to stay and get a partial credit. By 7.30 we were allowed on the ship. We heard no entertainment at our end of the ship. There were no seats, we perched where we could and tried to balance our plates of food with drink in hand and when the fireworks started we were made to go to the other end of the boat away from the fireworks under a canvas awning because it was too dangerous to be out in the open. We were unable to get off the boat as the gangplank was not in place, all viewing spots of the fireworks were full around the harbour on shore so we stayed and saw a small window of the display. Around 9 the gangplank was restored and we thought that the night was over. On our way back to our hotel, between buildings we realised that more elaborate fireworks were happening and we had no way of seeing them. I do not consider this experience worthy of only a partial refund as I am sure you would agree that our whole night was ruined on a night when we had no alternative but to accept what was ‘offered’ at such late notice. Hoping to hear a positive resolution to our complaint, on behalf of six of us,
- GoPlaces7593400Disappointing as a Dinner CruiseUnfortunately this is a poorly run dinner cruise, as the tall ship has so much potential! First of all it is not a “Dinner Cruise” it’s a paper plate buffet!! Also, if you’re towards the back of the line for the buffet they may run out of the offered choices. We were towards the end and they ran out of the salad and started rationing the main entree selection…. When you pay for a “Dinner Cruise” your expectation is that you’re having a nice dinner and that you will leave satiated, unfortunately that did not happen. Either have dinner before the cruise or plan on stopping by the quickie mart before heading home. If you just want a boat ride around the harbor consider a less expensive option!
- R6639WHjohnd00Disaster at seaWe were booked on the southern swan for an Australia day evening dinner cruise which promised a spectacular view of the fireworks and concert in the harbour After being told to turn up at 5.15 we were told to wait At 630 we were told that the boat's engine was broken down and that we were welcome to come on board but would not leave the dock They clearly knew that the boat was going to be out of commission and did nothing to contact customers to enable them to make alternative arrangements - a completely wasted day! Amateurs at best Do not book

It was a beautiful experience with all hands on deck! The guide made it feel like it was a personalized tour although there were many other passengers. The staff were friendly and the captain made it feel like a very peaceful cruise. I highly recommend!

The tour was very nice and entertaining. I would recommend this tour for a little break from walking around the harbour. The tour is very scenic and you will hear the many historic stories from the tour guides about Sydney and the Tall ship itself.

My reason for a low rating is; I paid for a tall ship experience and at the last moment the tall ship that I was really looking forward to riding on was switched to a much smaller and far less impressive yact. I was extremely disappointed about this as it was something I had always wanted to do, so be weary, when you book, it may not be what you wanted. The crew themselves were pleasant and professional, the snacks provided were far from impressive, some cut up chorizo (3) in a paper cupcake, and a small spinach and cheese puff pastry triangle.
Very disappointed

As there were less than 20 people we were put on the smallest tall ship. We had the opportunity to change to another day but it was out last day in Sydney so had to continue with little ship. It was peaceful and quiet when motor turned off and sails were used. But as no wind we had to put motor on again. Food is very sparse. One slice of chorizo each and one cheese triangle each. The cruise through Sydney Harbour was ok. Information was ok. The pic below shows all sails used but we only put 2 sails down. But you get the opportunity to help with sails.

As a history buff, I loved the knowledgeable commentary by Howard and the authentic sailing ship. The crew were polite and got us involved in hoisting the sails. It was so peaceful and I highly recommend the voyage. I'm six generation Australian so it was particularly poignant for me. Thanks guys!

Fantastic afternoon. I visit Sydney frequently but am always amazed by the beauty of the harbour. This is the second time I’ve gone with Sydney Tall Ships for an afternoon harbour cruise and loved every minute of it. It’s a family business apparently and the welcome is warm and genuine. Will definitely be going again on my next visit to the Emerald City.

Me and my 5yr old had an incredible afternoon on the tall ship. The staff were so lovely and fascinating to listen to. Very child friendly and interesting for anyone. Spectacular views and so peaceful on the harbour. I wasn't sure if I'd enjoy the afternoon (boats aren't my thing) but it truely was a magical time. 100% would do again.

Howard was incredibly informative. I enjoyed the historical references to the area. He’s like an encyclopaedia - if you have a question, Howard’s the man to ask!
Captain James & the rest of the crew were all obliging & helpful.
It was a beautiful afternoon - great photo opportunities of the Harbour Bridge & the Opera House, amongst other views.
The tall ship itself has an interesting pedigree. Well worth doing.
