About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- hoinzey0 contributionsAn enjoyable day around SydneyOur tour guide (Ian ?) was brilliant. Was a very enjoyable tour down to Bondi and the surrounds and to see so much of the coast. Lots of very good local knowledge by the tour guide who had a wealth of knowledge and experience having lived in many of the areasWritten August 5, 2024
- kennedy00 contributionsAmazing tripOne of the loveliest trip have made, the bus trip compliment everything,Paul thumbs up đź‘Ť you are amazing, you win the tour guide of the year, the way you presented the whole trip was more than we could ask for. Despite the weather beeing bad, you still made it work with the exemplary review of the history of Sydney, the cruise eventually capped it with the wonderful lunch on board, thanks to the entire team. Asked if l could do it? My answer is definitely yes and yes ,we we're able to capture memorable moments from the harbour Bridge and the Opera house .Written June 22, 2024

- W7417PLangelar0 contributionsFailure to Honour BookingAEA failed to pick us up at 07.10 this morning. They said Trailfinders had cancelled. Trailfinders called and they confirmed not cancelled and they also spoke with AEA. Either way pretty grim experience. Up at 07.10 no trip and no solution from AEA. The trip might be good but they have got to collect you firstWritten March 30, 2024
- maureenwP2530SE0 contributionsAEA Tours -- and Mario -- are the best! What a great tour! We had the best guide, Mario, who went above and beyond -- literally! My hat flew off in a gust of wind, and over the cliff. Mario actually lied down on the ground at the edge and reached to a ledge and rescued the hat! He was fabulous overall too --lots of great info on Australia and his recommendations at lunch were spot on! (best ice cream ever). The farm visit was also a highlight.Written March 29, 2024

- debbiepF4906XE0 contributionsGreat tourNigel was a great tour guide. Loved that he imparted his local knowledge about Sydney - in addition to the sites it was nice to get a feel for some of the neighborhoods in SydneyWritten March 22, 2024
- shulamel0 contributionsCheck the weather before leaving!!Our driver Hedler was wonderful and did everything he could to make our Blue Mountains day tour good BUT the weather was awful so we saw nothing. All the look out points were covered in clouds and even the botanic gardens were impossible to visit (the one indoor exhibit was closed). Other buses at least had umbrellas for their guests. The weather should have been checked by the tour company before we departed and we should have been given an option - other tours we have taken gave partial reimbursements when the weather did not permit the full experience. Given the option my husband and I would not have wanted to spend the day on a bus to see clouds and would have happily done ANYTHING else in Sydney on our last day. SUPER disappointed!Written March 15, 2024
- rachelm1580 contributionsExcellent overview of Australian Wildlife and NatureWe had a wonderful time on this tour! It was a great way to see some of the beautiful wildlife and scenery outside of Sydney, especially since we had limited time. The weather was a bit overcast and rainy, but we still got to enjoy many of the sights. Helder was an excellent tour guide! He kept everyone engaged throughout with details about the sights, historical information about Australia, and local recommendations. He also did a great job offering alternate options when the weather shortened some of our stops.Written March 14, 2024
- Cate P0 contributionsFull Sydney ExperienceNigel was excellent tour guide. Enjoyed being on the water and seeing Sydney from a different perspective. Only suggestion - boat greeters need to pay attention and communicate more clearly when participants are boarding the ship. A few people tripped and could have taken a tumbleWritten March 3, 2024
- Happiness7795770 contributionsNo help in tough situationAll was fine until I tested positive for Covid 22 hours before the scheduled tour. I immediately notified AEA Luxury Tours that even though I wasn't horribly sick, my wife and I shouldn't go on the small bus tour to protect the health of others. AEA Luxury Tours was not helpful at all and borderline rude - their response was basically "tough luck" no refund. Went on to whine to me about how they are a family business blah, blah, blah... I was just trying to do the right thing but they wanted no part in helping us out. Other tour companies we had scheduled the following two days were much, much more understanding and helpful. I guess this company is ok if you have no problems but...Written March 2, 2024

As is often the case, a good tour guide can make all the difference. In our case we were matched up with Scott who met us promptly at our hotel for our private (there were five of us) tour around Sydney.
It is always refreshing to hear that your tour guide grew up in the area you are touring. Scott was able to embellish the usual highlights with stories of his own that made it all seem more real. Our tour took us from downtown to the botanical gardens to the North Headlands before circling back through picturesque neighborhoods.
The last thing Scott did for us is book a reservation for us with Doyles on the Beach in Watson's Bay. We had driven by this restaurant during our tour and he suggested it as an iconic dinner house that had the added bonus of requiring the ferry to get there. So rather than drop us off at our hotel he took us back to Circular Quay, explained the process of getting on the ferry and off we went.
A great sightseeing day with a great tour guide and a happy ending for dinner.

We did the half-day tour with Graham who was a very friendly, relaxed and knowledgeable guide whom we got to know quite well as we also did a Blue Mountains tour with him. We also felt very safe with his driving. The whole experience was very relaxed and enjoyable, would highly recommend.
A special mention for this Company as they honoured our Bookings even though we were the only two for both tours and they would not have made any money - a sign of real integrity!

Everything was first class! From pick-up to drop-off, our guide was attentive and very knowledgeable. My health was not great and I had to make use of a cane. Our guide made sure that I was safe and taken care of. The sights we saw were beautiful and our guide made great use of our time.

Sidney is a great city, we explored on the open top buses where there are two routes. Also a trip around the harbour was interesting and the Opera House is worth a visit. Travelling around is easy as public transport is very good. Theres so much to do the only way to find out is to visit the city which is highly recommended.

I would like to tell you what a wonderful time we had with our tour guide Hugh. He picked us up at the Intercontinental Hotel in Sydney and was one of the most interesting people and guides we have ever met. His knowledge of the area and history was amazing. We felt like we really knew Sydney well after this tour. You are very fortunate to have a man of his knowledge and caliber as yiour guide. His kindest and consideration of all things regarding our comfort was far above anything we expected. He was a true gentleman.
Thank you for this experience.

Thoroughly enjoyed our time with Axel, our most excellent guide. A comprehensive tour through the many residential areas of Sydney, including Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman's former abode!

We will be arriving in Sydney, Australia on Oct 25th, 2019. Our Pacific cruise (Princess Cruises) ends at the cruise port in the early morning.
We will have about 4 hours to kill before our flight from Sydney Airport takes us to Hawaii.
There will be 2 of us, with 2 suitcases EACH, and a carry on or 2.
- Would you be able to accommodate us.....pick us up at the cruise port at around roughly 10:00AM, take us for an area tour, and then get us to the airport by roughly 2:00 PM? Usually, we are off a cruise ship by 7-8:00 - but stuff happens.
- Can we fit in a snack stop ... just something simple? And potentially a couple of toilet breaks?
- Are the vehicles non-smoking?
- If the weather is too rainy to enjoy the tour, can we cancel on the day of. We will be coming off a cruise ship that AM, so it may be hard to contact you until that morning. Hopefully this does not happen ... we really don't want to spend 8 hours at the airport.
Just want to make sure that this is suitable before we book something.
Thanks! ... John K.
