      Fantastic Day on the Water!!
Sailing with Dave was wonderful. In addition to having a beautifully maintained boat and being an excellent sailor, Dave shares tidbits of harbour history which add interesting depth. Lunch in the cove pictured was delicious! BRAVO!

      Sailing in Sydney Harbour
My wife and travelled to Sydney for my 40th Birthday. We met up with another couple we knew from LA who now live in Sydney. We booked a half day trip with David. He picked us up right on time and we began the day. He was very knowledgeable about all the sites, but not in an annoying way. He provided ample amounts of alcohol for those of us who wanted to party. He even let my wife sail for a few. Sushi was provided for lunch which was awesome. Following lunch we found a great spot to swim. Overall the day was perfect. Dave is a super nice guy and I would highly recommend booking a trip with him if you plan to visit Sydney.

Great sailing with David in Sydney Harbor
My friend and I spent several hours sailing Sydney Harbor with Captain David Dickinson and a couple from Florida. David is a great guide. He showed us many places of interest and had historical facts and stories to share. So much better than a large boat with a ton of people. It was so interesting and fun, and the lunch David made us (with wine, of course) was delicious. Highly recommended.

      A Sailing I Will Go
Harbour Days Sailing Experience Tours was so much fun!! No seasickness to be found with Captain Colin at the helm. This is a great tour and one you will not forget. The beauty of the harbour we would never have seen had we not chosen to sail the Emma Mei with Colin Madden and his First Mate. We had a beautiful and very tasty lunch onboard. See Photos. First-rate food, service, commentary, fun, great guys, fantastic sailors! We were on a private excursion and loved every minute.

      Sydney Harbour was fantastic!
Took a 2.5 hour sailing tour of Sydney Harbour with Colin our captain. Great time and good commentary from Colin. Good group was on board: Meme & Per (Sweden), Tray & Doug (USA) and us. Nice to meet and have a short but great experience in Sydney! Shout out to Colin!!

      Sunset sailing Sydney Harbour
Fantastic night sailing on Sydney Harbour with the crew from Pilgrim sailing. Paul Clare and Rachel looked after us extremely well.. When the wind picked up I felt like I was experiencing the Sydney to Hobart race. What an amazing experience that would be . I had my little touch of it last night. With dinner afterwards at Catalina Thanks again

      What a spectacular day!
Colin is so knowledgeable! Our 5 hour cruise was spot on. Colin’s narrative made for a fact filled day at sea. The lunch and wine was delicious. The yacht immaculate. A memorable day and worth every penny. A memory of a lifetime. We have a new friend in Sydney. Thank you Colin!

Sydney to Geelong Voyage... what an awesome experience
We had the opportunity to sail with these guys from Sydney to Geelong for the Wooden Boat Show in Geelong and it was an experience and a half... the first full day everyone got seasick... hey, it's a small ship on a big sea, however after getting our sea legs everything about the trip was AWESOME... I highly recommend this as it will be an experience you will never forget.

      Sailing Sydney Harbor in Style!
Poised, experienced and knowledgeable, our Captain, Colin, was a wealth of information and an experienced sailor on what turned out to be a variable weather day on the water. With nonchalant aplomb, he maneuvered us around a series of squalls and, surprisingly, kept us in the sun long enough to get a bit of a sunburn. Throughout the day he regaled us with the intriguing history of the harbor as well as the surrounding developments, buildings, bridges and points of interest. His intimate knowledge of Sydney extended to the point of identifying the estates and purchase prices of those belonging to Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise, Russell Crowe and local politicians, business tycoons and even underworld characters. Sushi, sliced chicken and a marvelous salad of prawns in a remoulade sauce over avocados made for an impressive lunch, and beer, wine and conversation flowed throughout the day. Our experience, thanks to Colin, exceeded our expectations and resulted in a day to remember forever!

      Wonderful day out
Having read the reviews on trip advisor we decided to book this trip for me, my wife and 5 year old son. We arrived a little early and saw Colin waving to us to meet him at the next mooring. We boarded and were introduced, we were the only ones on the boat so it felt very VIP. The boat is great, very clean, Colin gave the most wonderful commentary and made the trip very easy going. There was nothing that seemed to much trouble for Colin. We dropped the anchor for lunch, very nice sushi, avocado with salad, chicken and cheesecake/ fruit dessert. We had wine and beers to drink, our son had sprite. The whole trip was awesome, the views spectacular, Colin a fantastic skipper. We recommend anyone to do this trip when you visit Sydney.

Best way to see Sydney Harbor
Sailing with Colin on the Emma Mei was a wonderful experience. One other person joined my husband and me on the boat, and it was a delightful day. The boat is quite stable, Colin is a wonderful sailor, and you will likely spend most of the time using the engine rather than the sails just so you can get all the way to the end of the harbor and back, so if you're not a sailor don't worry - as long as you're okay in a boat you'll have a great time. I can't think of a better way to experience Sydney Harbor than on this trip - it was a real highlight for us.

      Perfect day on the Harbor
Spent a wonderful day with Colin our Captain and 2 other couples sailing the harbor. We sailed under the Harbor Bridge which we had climbed the day before and into the harbor. Colin pointed out places and interesting facts about the city. He anchored and brought out a fantastic lunch. He was very accommodating and even dropped us off near the cruise terminal so that we could make our tour of the Opera House. Highly recommend this tour.

      Wonderful experience - Highly recommend
This was a dream come true for me so I highly recommend it. Here was our experience: The day started by going to our hotel lobby to wait for the transport. We were contacted the day before saying we would be picked up by Tim, wearing a yellow and blue tie in a white van. While waiting, we noticed a car trying to parallel park in a VERY tight space across the street. We were some what amused while watching him, as he hit the truck behind him at least twice while trying to squeeze into the tiny spot. When he finally gave up and just left the vehicle half in/half out, we realized, it was our transport... Then we became a little more leery... but still chuckling a little, we gladly introduced ourselves and followed him to the car to find another couple inside. I wondered what they thought of the parking experience, but never had a chance to ask. :) We were driven to the harbor and then led to where we would pick up the boat. Tim, the driver, bid us fairwell and left once the boat arrived. Collin helped us onto the boat and made the introductions. Once settle, we headed out of the harbor for our cruise. Collin was very knowledgeable about the history of Sydney and then proceeded along the coastline talking about the many multi-million dollar homes, who owned them, how much they sold for, and how long the owners actually spent in them. It was pretty interesting and the area was incredibly beautiful. After finishing the tour up one side of the coast, we pulled into a small cove and Collin served us lunch. It was a wonderful lunch, with wine, sushi, avocados with shrimp and scallops, and chicken. Dessert was complete with fruit, cheesecake and wafers. It was a beautiful spread, but I was a little uncomfortable, as I don't eat sushi, shrimp, scallops, or avocado. I guess I didn't think about what would be served for lunch but I hope I played it off well enough not to draw to much attention to what I didn't eat. After lunch, we began our tour up the other side of the coast, again with Collin's splendid narrative. All in all, it was a lovely afternoon, with lots of beautiful pictures taken and a beautiful sailing vessel. I was a little disappointed only because I had hoped to learn a bit about sailing. I joked about learning a little with Collin, but for whatever reason the small time that we did actually sail (and not use the motor) he didn't explain anything or allow us to help, even though several of us offered. I would imagine the liability was playing a large part in that, but I would have been happy with just a little narrative on the equipment and how it all worked. I was fascinated by it all. I would highly recommend this tour and this company if you would enjoy this sort of tour. It was a dream come true for me and one of the highlights during our stay in Sydney.

One of the highlights of our 23 day trip
Spent a spectacular day on the Sydney Harbor with Colin. We had a perfect fall day and while the boat can take 6-8 guests, my wife and I were the only ones on board the 40-foot sailboat. Colin pointed out all the important sights and we also got a real kick out of his commentary on the mega-million dollar homes we saw along the way. Lunch with wine was delicious and abundant. At our request he dropped us off near the art museum at the end of an amazing and relaxing 5 hour cruise.

As a sailor, I couldn't have asked for a better experience. We know that "going sailing" is highly dependent on the wind and weather, which depends on your location in the harbor. On the day I attended, the wind and weather was great for all activities. Dave showed us the best of both worlds: motoring around the inner harbor on his Beneteau 40 and giving us history practically every quarter mile around the harbor, and when we got close enough to the harbor mouth near Manly, some fine winds for a sail!

Dave is a very relaxed and knowledgeable tour guide and skipper. He handled the sometimes very busy Sydney Harbour vessel traffic with ease, and was a easy teacher for newbies that chose to take the helm for a bit.

Plus, Dave put together a very nice lunch after we dropped anchor in a shielded cove, and beer and wine as you like. I've participated in sailboat day charters in many places, and Dave's is a bargain. Absolutely recommended, and if I make it back there I'll do it again.

Wow - thanks for your awesome review! It was a relief when we found the wind up in the Harbour mouth, and had the chance for a real nice sail. I look forward to seeing you again when you're back in Oz. Thanks again! Regards, Dave

Our family of four had an amazing time on this small group trip. Just 2 other travelers, so almost like having your own private tour. David was a fantastic host - skipper and informative tour guide rolled into one. We had a lot of fun learning about the architecture and famous inhabitants around the Harbour area. David was kind enough to teach our 2 teens to steer the boat for a while, which they loved! Beautiful clear swim spot to drop anchor and enjoy a delicious (and high end) lunch including a beer/wine or two for the adults. We thought it was great value for such a personalized experience and would highly recommend!

Great way to explore the Sydney Harbor and learn a lot about history and culture. Great lunch was provided and the group size is perfect at max 8 passengers. Very nice vessel. The only thing we recommend to make it more comfortable is cushioning on the wooden seating areas.

Enjoyed a wonderful day touring Sydney Harbour in a lovely sailboat skippered by David. The scenery is spectacular, and David's narration, ranging from history of Sydney to modern celebrities, was a great accompaniment. We had a refreshing swim in a picturesque cove, followed by a delicious lunch and then a relaxing sail back to the marina. Highly recommended.

The entire family (kids = 18, 11) absolutely loved our sailing trip with David. It was equal parts relaxing, interesting and fun. The lunch served was outstanding too. The boat itself is gorgeous with plenty of room to move around as well as a tidy bathroom. We enjoyed cruising around the harbors seeing the magnificent homes and hearing a bit of history. We took a swim at lunch in perfectly calm and beautiful water. David also let our 11 year old steer the boat for quite awhile. She enjoyed it very much and he was incredibly patient and calm about the instructions he gave her.

Collection from our hotel was perfect, David collected our party of 4 from Darling Harbour. From the very start we knew we had chosen the right sailing option.David gave us plenty of information about the places we were passing, the yacht was perfect & David told us he only takes a small amount of people which makes the whole experience more personal. After sailing for a couple of hours around various bays we moored for lunch, while a couple of us swam David prepared the perfect lunch. Washed down with a couple of beers & wine we couldn’t have wished for anything better. We then sailed back & were able to take control of the yacht with David was there to keep an eye on us. All four of us had a fantastic time & can wholeheartedly recommend David & his yacht. We wish him all the very best for the future.

What an amazing day out - the entire family labelled this their top experience of our two weeks in Australia. We saw all the harbour sights close up (Harbour Bridge, Opera House, etc.) and had the opportunity to sail and 'skipper' the boat. We spent an hour anchored in a small bay for us to swim and snorkel while David prepared a wonderful lunch with fresh fruit, veggies, seafood and meats. It truly was a bucket list experience and I would highly recommend it to anyone

This was a highlight of our visit to several sites in Australia. David was a great host on the "Emma Mei" and we enjoyed a lovely, unforgettable day cruise to the most beautiful places around Sydney harbour. We had a fine lunch in a quiet, peaceful bay with a most wonderful natural landscape around. The seafood sushi and filled avocados were delicious. David is very knowledgeable in many different fields and we could learn a lot about Sydney and Australia. Thank you, David, for making this day so special for us. Marlies and Franz

This was THE BEST experience. We had an amazing day on the harbour, David was well informed with all the sights that we saw as we casually sailed throughout the beautiful waters of Sydney Habour. We even got to get behind the helm and sail across the bay. Thankyou David for making our birthday weekend in Sydney an amazing and most enjoyable time.
