About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Optimisticpessimist60 contributionsExploring Sydney by BikeI hired two bikes for the day. The booking process was simple and they were quick to respond to my questions via email. The staff were friendly and helpful with lots of suggestions as to where we could cycle, and explaining the various different levels of bike lanes on the roads. The bikes were good quality and well maintained. I would highly recommend this company if you wanted to explore Sydney on bikes independently. The tours looked pretty good as well but we wanted to just go wandering. Excellent fun!!Written March 29, 2024
- wattsup700 contributionsPerfect paceWe did the 2 1/2 hour bike tour with Riley. It was the perfect length and pace. We covered about 6 miles of the city and learned a lot. We had to ride on the left side!!! And sometimes through a lot of pedestrian traffic but Riley got us through no problem. Also loved her recommendations.Written January 28, 2024
- Departure270120189590 contributionsGreat bike hire businessHired two bikes, friendly welcome and advice from Matt, bikes in good condition, great service, will definitely return to hire again and recommended to other people we met whilst out on the bikes.Written November 16, 2023

- mmbtraveler2280 contributionsA GREAT way to get to know Sydney! We had a great bike ride. Stuart was a warm, friendly and knowledgeable guide. The bikes were well maintained and we got to see things we never would have seen in the city. We highly recommend Bonza as a way to explore the city with a guide, meet interesting people, have a great time with locals and get a little exercise!Written June 22, 2023
- Blyn M0 contributionsBrilliantExcellent bike tour with Ruben very good value for money. Well set up with your bike before heading out for about 4 hours in total. Plenty of stops and interesting history on route, easy ride with a small group. All the iconic sights on route with a pit stop at the pub. I would highly recommend Bonza.Written March 7, 2023
- 380lynnew0 contributionsSydney Classic must do!We had Rin as our guide and she was excellent - very engaging and informative. The perfect way to see the fantastic sights of our beautiful city and learn a bit of history too. A must do for both tourists and locals. Would have loved to have more time relaxing at the Lord Nelson but that’s for another day. I’ll be recommending this 4 hour tour to friends and family.Written January 10, 2023
- Dannyboy320 contributionsAwesome!Jeff the guide was next level good! This was a must do for Sydney! So much information we wouldn't have known had we not booked thisWritten November 17, 2022
- Hjber0 contributionsLoads to seeGreat tour, seen loads of Sydney in a 4 hour get moving classic tour. We had Rin our expert guide explain all the sites and we seemed to cover miles and miles. Weather wise we were lucky with 28 deg and sunshine so the trip was first class and there was loads to see and learn about, The highlight was up on the bridge looking out over the bay. The lowlight was the climb up to that level but there is an option of an ebike which would have made life a lot easier. In saying that we are 60 + and managed fine. Give it a go.... you won't regret it. Regards BertWritten October 25, 2022

Matthew was so helpful and gave us great advice on where we should go and created a fantastic route for us. Best way to see Sydney!! Riding over the Sydney Harbour Bridge was the best experience ever and seeing the sites all the way to Bondi! After a long day of riding you can take your bikes back on the Ferry and enjoy the scenery!! Highly recommend!!Written April 28, 2021
- oneajthepro0 contributionsFantastic classic tour of SydneyWe did the 4hour classic tour with our 2 boys (aged 12 +10). Brady was our guide in our group of 11. It was a perfect size group and the cycling was great. There were a couple of hill but you can walk them if you want to. We saw sights that we wouldn't have probably seen so really pleased we did the tour. The kids said they want to do it again. We did it on our first day in Sydney which really helped orientate ourselves. Some of the cycling is on busy roads which is fine if you (and your family) are confident cyclists. Brady out guide was great with the kids (and all of us) ensuring we were safe on the roads at a times. He was funny and engaging. This is the best start to the trip we could have had as its really helped us understand the city and the country of Australia. Thank you bonza Bike tours. It was great and I would have definitely anyone going to Sydney to do it.Written December 13, 2019
- 296JulieD0 contributionsBike tour - SydneyRecently took the Sydney bike tour with my husband. Our tour guide, Dani was very friendly and informative throughout the 4 hour ride - she guided us expertly through the busy streets of Sydney with numerous stops where she shared knowledgeable stories from Sydneys history. The tour we did only included 2 hills that where quite steep but short. The tour took you to all the highlights of the city including the bridge, opera House, Hyde Park as well as along the harbour front. We also had a stop at an old pub where we enjoyed a local drink. Definitely a tour to do and would recommend for all abilities.Written November 21, 2019

Thank you so much Libby (Chelsea) for being so knowledgeable, entertaining and simply a pleasure to be with throughout our tour of the city. We would recommend this to anyone on your first day in the city so you know what you are looking at while visiting, what your options are to go and see and just to simply understand the history of the city. Libby although a “young” guide was so knowledgeable and very passionate about the city she grew up in. This is a ride for most anyone! What a great first day in Australia. Again thank you Libby and come see us in Dallas.

We had a fantastic time on a recent bike tour. Our tour guide, Jobi, was very knowledgeable and interesting. Not knowing what to expect being our very first time on a bike tour. We would stop at points of interest. The pub break was a nice time for a drink before heading back to the end of the tour. We were on electric bikes for the first time and would highly recommend to give them try.

We arrived in Australia from the U.S. at 9am and hopped on bikes for the Sydney Highlights Tour at 2:15pm. It was the absolute perfect way to stave off jetlag and get our first glimpse of Sydney. Adam did a great job of introducing us to our new favorite city :) We covered a lot of ground on smooth-handling bikes, seeing places we never would have explored on our own via car or on foot. We lucked out with gorgeous weather and an unexpectedly private tour, but even without those extra perks, I highly recommend letting Bonza Bike Tours show you around!

Great way to explore Sydney. Given a good bike, helmet and bag to attach to bike. Need to bring your own water or buy a bottle to fill there. Not a strenuous ride and stop every 5-10 minutes for a chat. Always felt safe and saw and understood all the main areas of city centre Sydney

The 4 hour bike tour of Sydney was the perfect way to get an idea of the layout of the city and the vibe of each neighborhood early on in our trip. We were able to learn about the history of each area and take notes about the areas we wanted to come back and continue exploring throughout the rest of our trip. The biking seems suitable for most ages and the pub stop halfway was a great chance to take a break and get to know the rest of the group. Our tour guide, Rin, was awesome! Highly recommend this tour, it would also be an active activity to fight jet lag if you’re starting your travels in Sydney!

Can't believe we got so lucky ! This is "off season" and it was an overcast day. So the 2 of us happened to end up in a private tour of sorts with Ren (or is Wren the correct spelling?!).
5 hours of a personalized tour - full of historical facts, covered all major city areas, visited some hidden nooks and corners, amazing parks. Ren was amazing, one of the best bike guides we've had the privilege of riding with across many such tours we've done globally.
Bonza know what they are doing and they are good at it.

This is our second time doing a Bonza bike tour and we had another great ride. We did the longer (full day) Sydney tour that included lunch (sandwiches). The highlight was our guide Dillon who was fun, informative and just fun to talk with. We were two families traveling with teens and Dillon did a great job keeping everyone engaged and made the ride enjoyable. As a cycler, I enjoyed that the tour was longer (about 18 miles) and had some hills. Overall, it was a great day out and the perfect way to see Sydney. I recommend doing this tour on your first day to get an overview of the city and know where you want to go back to and spend more time.

Rin and Nick took us on a great route around the highlights of Sydney. Mainly on cycle tracks we visited all the main attractions, Opera House, across the bridge, Hyde Park, ANZAC memorial, Darling Harbour, China Town, Botanical Gardens, The Observatory and around historic wharves and quay’s. It was a great way to see the city and was entertaining and informative, giving information of the history of Sydney and Australia.
Fantastic guides were knowledgeable and great company. Would highly recommend. My

What an absolutely fabulous way to see the city. We never could have covered that much ground walking and many places we went had no car access. We visited the iconic sites as well as different parks and gardens, Chinatown and other parts of the city, all while learning about the history of the area. We stopped for coffee and donuts and thoroughly enjoyed Stu’s conversation. I can’t imagine a better way to have take in all that Sydney has to offer.

The Sydney Harbor Tour was great - some hills, but not too challenging. More importantly, the Bonza Bike Tour guides were fantastic: friendly, helpful and able to share a good level of information as we biked through the city. They were also able to accommodate our request to return a bit earlier than planned (which we really appreciated!). And finally, lunch was delicious and the park where we ate had a beautiful view.
I highly recommend this tour if you are looking for an active way to see Sydney!

I don't ride a bike often and uphill can be a challenge for me. I read in one of the reviews that you have electric bikes available for an additional cost. Please confirm. We are looking to book this tour in February.

I don’t work for this company but they do have e-bikes and you have to pay a bit more to get one but it’s worth it!

do you have various sized bike for kids? and helmets? we would like to take 2.5 hour tour with 2 adults and 3 kids (10, 12, and 16) on Monday june 17.
Written June 15, 2019
I don’t recall seeing smaller sizes but the seat go down pretty low to accommodate most sizes. I’d call and check with them.
There were a few hills early in the ride that was difficult for some riders. The group waits for everyone and there’s no shame in walking the bike up the hill.
The tour group is very accommodating to everyone.
