Overview

See some of Australia’s most fearsome wildlife up close during a visit to the Australian Reptile Park in Gosford. As well as wildlife such as koalas and kangaroos, you’ll observe fearsome crocodiles, venomous snakes, and the deadly funnel web spider. For kids, there’s a reptilian adventure playground and for adults, free access to car parks, picnic areas, and gas BBQs, guaranteeing a fantastic family day out.

What to Expect
The Australian Reptile Park and Wildlife Sanctuary was established in 1948 - by the late and great ERIC WORRELL, Australia's first naturalist - and is now regarded as one of the countries premier attractions. The Sanctuary is the only zoo in Australia committed to saving lives with a Venom-Milking Program in place for the past 50+ years, saving over 300 lives each year being the sole supplier of a variety of venoms, which is used for all snake and funnel-web anti-venom in Australia.

The Australian Reptile Park is the hands-on zoo and boasts loads of animal interaction and exciting wildlife shows. Have a close encounter with some of the park’s scaly and furry animals during Snappy Hour 11am-2pm daily, including a walk with Hugo the giant Galapagos tortoise. Elvis, NSW's crankiest crocodile, is fed at 1:30pm on weekends and school holidays.  See our spectacular alligator feeding from the banks of our massive ’gator lagoon.  See native and exotic reptiles and spiders in our unique exhibits The Lost World of Reptiles and Spider World, featuring Tarantula-ville.  Discover how we’re helping save the iconic Tasmanian devil with our exciting conservation project, Devil Ark.  Witness venomous snake and funnel web spider milking every day. Have a professional photo (additional cost) with a snugly python, wombat or cuddly koala lead of course by our amazing Animal Handlers. Enjoy the children’s adventure playground, cafe and picnic area, free BBQs and hand feed friendly kangaroos.  Ask about our Behind the Scenes tours and Kids to Keepers programs!

When it's school holidays, be prepared to miss out due to crowds

This is a lovely open park, but it was very busy today. I guess school holidays, paired with 60th birthday celebrations meant chaos. But to have ALL the picnic tables in the centre of the park reserved from well before midday, for an exclusive VIP...More
