Booked a snorkelling trip to Mortar rock as wanted to avoid the entrance fee to Pigeon Island. It was fantastic and I saw loads!! Prabhu was an awesome snorkelling guide and I felt very safe with him in the water. He pointed out all the beautiful fish and cuttlefish. Suman was also a great boat captain and we had a fun boat ride on the way back too. Loved the trip!

We went as a couple- one of us completing their license and the other doing free dives. A bonus is that they offer refresher dives if you are licensed but have not dove in a while. The dive shop was fantastic- from picking us up at our hotel to an easy sign in process, the whole operation was very efficient and professional. The dive shop is located on a gorgeous stretch of the beach with a restaurant on site so you can relax and enjoy after your dives. Ellie was by far the most clear, respectful and competent instructor of anything we have ever encountered and would highly recommend doing your course with her!

I did the PADI Open Water course and it was absolutely amazing. The instructors were really nice, competent and helpful. I felt very safe and comfortable during the diving lessons. The dive spots are fantastic, you can see many species of colourful fishes, sting rays and moray eels. The diving Center is located on a very nice beach and right next to it is a delicious restaurant. It is absolutely worth the money and I would highly recommend booking your diving or snorkelling tour here.

We did two trips with Divinguru in Nilaveli and would recommend both. The snorkelling at Pidgeon Island was great, we saw turtles and black tipped reef sharks as well as plenty of tropical fish, though not much live coral. Selva really made the trip for us as he guided our two children around with a life ring for them to hold when they needed to, and pointed out everything to see. He was also the driver for our dolphin watching trip where we saw lots of spinner dolphins. Thanks to Divinguru and Selva!

Divinguru Nilaveli is an excellent dive operation. My wife & I dived every day while our daughter completed her AOW cert. All the staff we dived with - Patrick, Norbert & Tharshanth - were safe & knowledgeable; special thanks to Tharshanth for taking me back on our last dive to see my first octopus. The organisation was all very smooth & professional, with quick communication via email and WhatsApp with Ellie, who was also lovely to deal with. The only improvement I could suggest to the owner is stocking Divinguru t-shirts & rash-vests!

Norbert was a great instructor, we learnt so much and felt super prepared for every dive. Great location and good varied dive sites. Would highly recommend. All staff were super friendly and accommodating

Divinguru is one of the best companies I have ever dived with. Divinguru is a very well run professional organisation but also run by super friendly helpful people. They were excellent in organising a refresher dive for me and then three further dives at short notice. During the refresher dive I felt super safe and supported. The little cafe / restaurant is excellent too and the pick up drop off from our hotel was great. They also have fixed mornings at the dive sites unlike some of the other operators who I saw throwing anchors onto the reef. Overall an excellent experience, great diving, lovely people and I would recommend them to anyone.

Great agency to choose for pigeon island diving trips. They are super professional and dedicated to their customers, in terms of giving extensive information and safety. The woman who explained everything at the base was extremely friendly and professional and our guide and boat driver was extremely helpful. He took us around both snorkeling sites and helped me all the way with a buoy. We saw several sharks and turtles thanks to him and many tropical fish. Great experience!

Great communications when arranging our dives. Facilities and equipment are the best I have seen. Lots of friendly, helpful staff. And the diving was wonderful.

Small group which we like. They have many activities to choose from. We did Snorkeling at pigeon Island , fun diving and Whale watching. Price was reasonable. Friendly people, good facilities and clean . They have a couple of boats They have their own cafe which was good. Special thanks to Fiona for accompanying us to the pigeon Island. Thank also to patrick and fiona for being with us during Fun Dive.

I did the 2 day freediving course with Norbert as my instructor. It was one of the highlights of my travels, an incredible experience that I would recommend it to anyone!

I visited Nilaveli along with my two best friends specifically only to get our PADI open water diver certification and I am so thankful we chose to do it at DivingGuru! The dive center is located on the Nilaveli coast, close to pigeon island. Getting there was easy with all the signs along the way, well guided to diving guru. We spent 3 days at the school with Ellie as our instructor and Simon as our divemaster. Ellie is an amazing and patient teacher never skipping anything or hurrying through, letting us take the time we need or want to learn something. She made sure we were comfortable throughout and well equipped in the skills we were there to learn. She and Simon were also great at spotting marine life during our dives, we did 4 reef dives and entered a new dimension underwater with all the corals, anemones, fish and other marine life. All in all, I think we made a great choice with DivingGuru, the equipment was clean, well maintained, the boats were well maintained, the instructors, divemasters, boat captains and all other staff were so kind and so helpful - like one big family, the location with all the glory of the Indian Ocean was great, there are even restaurants next door that served great food (their own restaurant is under renovations) Big shoutout to Ellie and Simon, our instructors and Prabhu, our boat captain!

Great dive centre - very helpful and knowledgeable staff! We did a whale watching and snorkeling trip with them and saw lit sof wild life (turtles, sharks, dolphins, whales) Would highly recommend!
