About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- calio3490 contributionsGreat Day - Awesome Crew & VarietyGreat day with a lot of variety. The adventure includes return transportation from your hotel to the ferry dock, snorkeling, lunch, all drinks, time to visit the town of Isla Mojeras and a beautiful sail back to Cancun. The crew were very friendly, extremely customer serviced focused and so organized. Truly a well run ship. It is a busy boat with a bit of party atmosphere so if you are looking for a quiet day on the water this is likely not the adventure for you. Great day overall!Written February 8, 2025
- rohitmalik20 contributionsI GOT SCAMMED!!!The booking took place but they cancelled the booking on the morning of the trip because there were not sufficient bookings. They were willing to book me for another day but we were already booked for other tours. I've called them several times and texted them on the status of the cancellation and refund. They read my messages and 24 hours later they have chosen NOT to give me any update on the status of the refund. I have text exchanges to prove that they're avoiding giving my money back to me.Written January 2, 2025
- aellent0 contributionsUnsafe, waste of money, absolutely terribleOn this tour we felt completely unsafe the entire time we were there. It started by a much longer transfer than we were told and taken to a beach hut where we were asked to pay more than we agreed. They put us on a boat with 31 other people (there was no where to sit, it definitely wasn’t fit for 31 other people plus about 5 crew). We were the only people that spoke English and acted like this was a total inconvenience to them as everyone else could speak Spanish and they had to put an extra staff on just to be able to communicate with us (which he hardly ever did). There was no hammocks, the food was hardly edible and the beach club is NOT as beach club. We were told we would be going snorkelling and to a quiet beach where you could walk out hundreds of meters. This didn’t happen. All the crew were drinking and doing shots even the captin which made us even more uncomfortable, we understand this can happen where they have a drink or two but not to this level. We were sold the trip and a chilled nice day out but it couldn’t have been further from it. Look elsewhere.Written December 8, 2024
- Catherine B0 contributionsPoor experience with Starblue catamaransWe booked this from a seller at the hotel, overall a poor experience. The tour was not as sold to us, who expected to be able to snorkel around the boat and then be on a beach which ‘stretched for hundreds of metres’ where we could also snorkel, but the reality was the boat dropping you off and leaving you to swim for half an hour and then the beach on Isla Mujeres all be it pretty, crowded and not relaxing. We booked this trip as it was said to be a relaxing day on the boat, we ended up on a party boat with a bachelor and bachelorette party, with over 30 people on board. Nothing relaxing about this at all. We booked onto an English speaking trip and ended up as the only people who didn’t speak Spanish, and therefore understood little to nothing of what the tour guide was saying as he mostly spoke in Spanish. Every drink we ordered had tequila in it, even when there was no tequila in the recipe. The food was average and the ‘beach bar’ appears shanty like and dirty. The staff on the boat were all drinking with the group, leaving me feeling anxious and uncomfortable in the dark on a boat out in the ocean. Overall, wouldn’t return and wouldn’t recommend.Written December 8, 2024
- Trip459859582940 contributionsThis tour operator is shameful. Do not book any tour with themThe company didn't pick me up for this excursion and then refused to refund my money. This company is a scam and rips off tourists ongoing. Do not book any tour with them as they will rip you off.Written October 10, 2024
- lorilZ3386PU0 contributionsAdventurous but a far distanceThe tour was amazing. Definitely adventurous and extremely fun. The only thing is the distance. Takes about an hour and half to get there and back thats if your on the hotel strip. Highly recommend you bring your own bug spray, eye glasses and face mask.Written September 9, 2024
- Joel F0 contributionsMust Do ExcursionThe sailing from Cancún to Isla Mujeres was amazing. The weather was beautiful. The tour guides were very nice to everyone. Everyone should go on this tour if they have an opportunity.Written August 27, 2024
- ericgH5865LS0 contributionsBullcrapEverything was wrong with the tour, to start off, they said that we had to pay for parking even though we parked outside of their parking facilities, they threatened to charge an additional fee and even a fine just because they wanted more money. They also lied about the drinks, telling us that we could ask for anything that we wanted for free. They only had tequila, cheap beer, some "cocktails" if we can even call it that, and a couple of sodas. By the way, I asked for a piña colada and they said that they were not part of the menu, we had to pay for it. The snorkeling experience was mid at its best, very limited coral views, equipment felt cheap and we didn’t even visit the aquatic museum they promised us to. They had an activity where you jumped in a swing and it elevated you which was part of the tour, I told the guy in charge that I wanted to go first, and he let a bunch of people go ahead of me even though I already had asked and he agreed. I didn’t get the chance to get on it. Only 6 persons out of like 40 got the chance to do it when it said that it was a part of the itinerary and that we’d all do it Lies, lies and more lies from this scamming company. They were taking pictures of us during the day, but the price for them is out of this world, I’m never paying 15 dollars just for one picture. They are crazy to charge this amount just for one picture. Also, the crew members were almost forcing us to tip them in the end of the tour. We didn’t, so they got upset and started being aggressive towards us. 0/10, would never do it again. We are very frustrated and upset. Terrible experience.Written August 16, 2024
- 767kiarac0 contributionsScamI booked this about an hour and half before the excursion time hoping to still get the best of it. When it was time to get picked up I texted the guide to let me know when they were outside. The guide texted me that they could not pick me up considering I got my tickets in such short notice, to reschedule. I understood that considering I did book it considerably late, so I told him that I would meet them there to just send the location. He sent the location and we ordered an Uber there even though it was an hour away from where we were staying. When we arrived to the said location there was nothing there. We drove and drove around to see if we could find it and nothing. I had no service so I could not text the guide for any questions. We drove a few more minutes where we found a spot that does the same things and ended up doing the excursión there but had to pay again.Written August 5, 2024
- B3032WQjonathanc0 contributionsThe worst customer service I’ve experienced in yearsStar Blue runs what has to be the worst tour I’ve ever been on. They lied about everything including but not limited to the time of the tour, the fact that transpiration would be waiting for us, and the fact that alcohol was included. We took 6 people on this tour and were extremely disappointed. Do not take this tour under any circumstances. When our bus driver left us the tour guide Eric said that it wasn’t his problem as we waited on the side of the road not knowing if we would ever be picked up. This tour group’s customer service and quality couldn’t be worse.Written July 27, 2024

- desmondg1890 contributionsNever got picked upScrew this excursion. I paid days in advance and was at the front of my resort at the time I was told to be. I never showed up and when I try to contact the company to see where he was at, I couldn’t get in contact with anyone. Honestly, I suggest booking any excursions through Amstar. They will take care of you.Written July 13, 2024

- A9491ZVaustins0 contributionsAmazing experience! Would recommend! My wife and I had a blast at Jungle Kingdom! Our guide, “Jaguar” was amazing, and definitely made the day even more enjoyable. Super fun, and charismatic, overall great guy. Would definitely recommend checking this out, but would advise you to be ready for some extra costs, and would recommend the earlier time slots as it is less busy so group sizes are smaller. Our group size was smaller, and a bit more intimate, so we had more time for each of our activities. The activities themselves were super enjoyable, my wife and I both had a ton of fun! We started off with the ATV tour, then did the 4 course zip line, and then we were able to cool off in the cenote which was incredible. After which, they served us a light lunch. Definitely would recommend packing some snacks and water. As for the extra costs, you are unable to take any belongings on the zip line or ATVs and had to store them in a locker. So essentially, there’s a mandatory locker fee which was $5. They also charged a $5 ATV insurance fee, which was completely optional but would recommend. And then as far as photos go, they are a separate entity from Jungle Kingdom, and they WAY overprice their media. They tried to charge us $100 USD for 60 pictures and 5 videos. Because they do not allow phones on the ATV ride and zip line, the only photos we had access to for those activities was through them, so be prepared to pay for photos/videos if wanted. Overall an amazing experience, and if it weren’t for the surprise charges, and the bumpy road in, it would have 5/5 stars!!Written May 29, 2024
- F9200JZphilips0 contributionsgood experienceThe tour was fun and the staff was very accommodating… although, the snorkeling was too fast and they gave me a defected left foot flipper. it was just too crowded at the site that’s why the guide was in a hurryWritten May 15, 2024
