- SaJaElliott00Terrific TrollfjordWe took the Silent Trollfjord cruise this morning and wanted to congratulate Brim Explorer for a fabulous experience. Despite overcast weather and snow, the trip was interesting and informative, the boat was extremely comfortable and the guide Giulia was first class. We saw sea eagles, heard stories of fishing and living in Lofoten, and were awed by the beauty of the fjord. Even got to taste dried cod! A fabulous experience all round.
- Krysti10900Amazing whale watching experience. We went whale watching today with Brim and had the best day. The staff were knowledgeable, enthusiastic and just lovely. My fave part of the day was when the captain moved away from an amazing whale spot as it was getting too crowded and other boats weren’t being as respectful to the Orcas. I have so much respect for the way this company/staff treated the day/whales. Thanks for a great experience 🖤 staff, you were all just fab! X
- mikewK6238UO00MikeThe fjord boat tour was one of the highlights of our trip. Seeing Lofoten from the water was incredible and our guide, Gulia, was amazing! She was a marine biologist, so her knowledge of the regions sealife and habitats turned a sight-seeing adventure into a true experience.
- 390kristynah00Silent whale watching in TromsøThe tour was very well organised and already after boarding we were informed that the weather might get bad in one point of the route so we might not be able to continue to our destination Skjervøy. Those who decided not to continue could have asked for refund or move the date of the tour. So absolutely fair treatment! We stayed and surprisingly we heard from the crew that this day it we ended up with the best weather possible! Absolutely amazing friendly crew ready to answer any of your questions. Our group was lucky as we saw several groups of Orcas (one of them family with baby) and lucky me spotted Minke Whale on our way back to Tromsø. Apart from animals also beautiful scenery of Norwegian fjords. Recommend 100000%
- janitiainen00Amazing landscapes from a boatAbsolutely great experience! The trip was from Svolvær to Henningsvær and back with stunning landscapes and incredibly friendly crew. They also showed us under water drone footage as one of the crew members was driving it. We also got to hear interesting stories and history about Lofoten. There was also a little bit luck on the way as we saw a double rainbow at the sea when we were coming back from Henningsvær :D. Thank you to the crew for making our trip to Lofoten more awesome. Highly recommended!
- Maximos12000Amazing tripAbsolutely fantastic trip with amazing area to take great photos and see the eagle and know about Lofoten mountains. Also it was very comfortable electric boat and friendly crew
- tinahenriette00Very good trip!Real good trip. Interestering stories from the Crew. Very Nice and modern ship! Br Tina from Denmark
- THREOslo00Perfect in everywayWhat can be better that spending evening on a brand new boat, watching the sunlight play with the fjords, while you get spoiled by knowledgeable and handsome Norwegian crew? So, why should you choose this particular tour where there are many others to choose from? First the boat itself offers comfort, safety and possibility to stay warm and dry, or stand outdoors if you wish so. Food we’ve got served was local, and way better than in any Svolvær restaurants we’ve tried. Please notice that it is not full meal, but there are many continental dishes to choice from at additional (reasonable) cost. We were served local snacks (stockfish, almonds in seaweed flavour and aquavitt-snaps) at departure, and warming fish soup on our way back. Absolutely stunning views above and underwater. The town of Henningsvær is the prettiest in Lofoten, full of art galleries, smal cosy restaurants and quite special fotball pitch.
- elbartlingo00Amazing cruise with live concert!Really great experience sailing with Bard from Svolvær into Trollfjorden, with electrical/hybrid engines. We were so lucky to have live classical music on deck as we went into the magnificent fjord with 3 sea eagles soaring above! It doesn’t get much more national-romantic than that! Thanks for a great trip with a super friendly crew that make you feel at home onboard.
- ragnhildpi00Thank you - awesome!Great staff, great trip and a super nice consept with the electric boats! If you want to check out Lofoten, what other way to do it than from a boat like this?!
- DanAndTash00Great CompanyHeard rumours the day before that the whales had gone for the season, so arrived with low expectations. They warned us of this before we left and offered a full refund, but none of the 50 or so guests got off. Took 3 hours to get to Skjervoy and the weather was bad, so even if the herring hadn't moved on it wasn't the best day for it and might not have seen much anyway. However, we had half a dozen white beaked dolphins racing alongside the boat, going under it and leading us from the front, and you could get very close to them as the bottom deck is almost sea level, so as good as a RIB for viewing. We circled a few small islands in the area looking for a few whale stragglers not as hungry as their mates who had followed the herring up to the arctic ocean, but no joy, then on our way back we found a humpback and stayed with it for around 20 minutes, which was great. It was about 100 metres away, but it says that they can't get too close on their website, so that was really nice. All told, we had a great day out and the brand new boat is absolutely stunning, from the lovely wooden decks to the beautiful interior which was very warm, which we desperately needed after standing outside for a while. I don't think you'd get a more comfortable experience with any of the other larger boats, as they all look like big ferries. Also, we were one of only 3 boats to go out that day, so had the sightings all to ourselves. The crew were fantastic, coming round to every guest, asking if they were ok, and answering hundreds of questions. You could see that they really tried their best to see some orcas, but some times it just isn't meant to be. That's nature for you, so don't be upset if you don't get everything you want, as it's out of their control, but they will do everything they can, so would definitely recommend them and use again (but maybe come in December next time, as it seems the end of whale season is getting earlier each year).
- annlma00Silent whale watchingBook now! This trip was utterly fabulous. The boat is spotless and brand new. Brilliant facilities, warm and cosy. The staff are so friendly, helpful, accommodating and knowledgeable. Nothing was too much trouble and they did their best to get round to everyone to ask how they were and where they were from etc. We were lucky enough to see some humpbacks although they weren’t so close but the whole experience alone was well worth the money. Thank you so much for a wonderful trip!
- Siobhan D00An excellent Whale Watching tripAn excellent day's outing with the crew onboard the Brim Explorer. They are exceptionally professional and knowledgeable, and the catamaran is fairly new and very comfortable to sail on. We had an amazing day sailing out to the north of Tromso to find pods of Orcas and humpback whales all feeding on the herring - a truly spectacular sight, never to be forgotten. Thanks to all on Brim for making our day so special......
- lifeisbeautiful000Absolutely AwesomeSo I was supposed to be a part of the morning cruise which for some reason left an hour earlier. Hence, we were waiting in the Clarion Hotel a little peeved with the entire experience. Espen one of the partners saw all of us waiting & offered the night cruise free with dinner & drinks & the refund for the cruise that I had missed. That was very professional & appreciated on my part. The food, the new ship were simply awesome, we saw Northern Lights & apparently it was the strongest show this year. The pics shared are taken on an iPhone pro max handheld, I may suggest to have a tripod . The advantage of being on the ship is you can balance between seeing the Aurora and having a great dinner. Its an electric ship & extremely eco friendly.

On top of the list of things to do in Lofoten and there is a reason why. It is a very touristy thing to do for sure but is still an absolute must do experience. The Brim boat is wonderfully designed and perfect for this experience. As with most days we spent in Lofoten, this trip was a mixture of cloudy skies, light rain, some mist and some dry air. The scenery on this trip is breathtaking so make sure you are taking the time to look all around in every direction while on the boat. The goal is to get into the end of Trollfjord which is spectacular but the scenery every inch of the way is just as amazing. Such a beautiful landscape to experience. Having this silent electric boat was very cool as well (only runs on silent electric inside the fjord). While in the fjord with this boat that is making no noise you can almost become one with nature even though you happen to be on a boat full of people. Even the people on the boat were talking in low voices and you could hear and experience everything. Pretty special. The waterfall inside the fjord is awesome. This is an experience that you absolutely must do while in Svolvær.

The trip to the Trollfjord with the brim explorer was one of the highlights of our two week trip to the Lofoten. The landscape is beautiful and the modern hybrid ship is extremely comfortable, especially if you travel with children. The crew is very friendly, and the experienced local guide has shared a lot of interesting insights. The trip also includes a short underwater excursion with a water drone which is streamed to the boat with some explanation of the underwater vegetation.

Came here with my family (2 adults and a 2 year old toddler) and we had a great time.
There was a yellow warning storm for our original morning booking in August, so we were given a few options for what to do (as the sailing was cancelled due to safety reasons). We chose to go for the afternoon sailing, and the adjusted booking process was quick an efficient.
The boat is quite comfortable with a small bar/restaurant inside. We had a pram along (for our 2 year old), and it was no problem bringing it into the boat. They also provide binoculars onboard so no need to bring your own.
All in all, it was a very picturesque family activity, and our little one was fascinated by the trollfjord. Would definitely recommend to other families with young children.

Very beautiful trip into a special and otherwise impossible to see narrow fjord! There were many white-tailed eagles to see, on a distance from the boat.
We were lucky with sunny weather, which resulted in magnificent views. This tour is beautiful not only inside the fjord but on the way to and from the fjord as well.
The boat is silent, spacious and modern. The guides were very informative during the entire trip. See had a bit of delay because a diver had to clear one of the propellers but did not take long. Very beautiful experience and highly recommended.

We took this tour on a sunny day in May and were really impressed. The staff were friendly, approachable and very knowledgable about the area, culture and wildlife of the area. The boat was comfortable with a cafe and loo, and a few rugs and throws to keep warm on deck. The views were breathtaking and we saw many sea eagles on our trip to Trollfjord. The use of an underwater drone was an nice additional touch.

The tour was beatiful, the staff was so nice. You can tell that they love what they do. We were very happy and can totally recommend this tour to anyone. The trollfjord is beautiful and the perspective to the fjords and mountains from a boat is awesome. Going into the fjord we only used the electric motor which gives you the opportunity to fully enjoy all nature and the sea eagles. The soup on board was also very delicious.

Very nice experience. This tour is organized and handled in the best standards. The ship is really quiet and the sailing very smooth. Given a good weather the views are quite stunning and well worth the time and money.
Last but not least the guides are very friendly and provide a lot of clear and informative explanation about the geography, history, wild and marine life in the area.
I highly recommend it!

Fantastic trip! I see other reviewers point out that it is quite far North but can't imagine it would work unless you were on the Lofotens. The trip to the Fjord is about 45 mins each way and the Fjord itself is quite short but worth it. We saw many Sea Eagles and the Fjord itself is quite dramatic.
The crew in the boat were all pleasant and informative and while there seemed to be a lot of people going onto the boat, once everybody settled there was lots of room to walk around and see what was going on.
While the boat is wheelchair friendly getting onto the gangplank can be interesting depending on the tides so you need to get teh crew to help.
