- T6497LKemilyw0 contributionsVeronaPerfect location for a couples break. We had a fabulous room on 2 levels with a balcony. Mini bar is free and they re-stock full full size bottles of Prosecco each day - ouch for the head!!! But a really good hotel. We were both delighted we picked it for our 40th bdays. And Verona is a stunning cityWritten October 21, 2024
- altullochcampbell0 contributionsDolomitesTourA great tour to the Dolomites with Karen, our knowledgeable, fun guide and Sadie, our excellent driver (much needed on the way up and down the mountains). It is quite a long drive, but the information provided along the way was interesting and the drive up to the Pordoi Pass was eye opening. The scenery was amazing. Unfortunately there was cloud at the top of the mountain so we didn't go up in the cable car but the scenery was wonderful anyway. Other stops included Ortisei which was really lovely. We really enjoyed our day.Written October 2, 2024

Very comfortable journey and tour guide very nice and made the journey very interesting with lots of information en route. Scenery outstanding and cable car trip well worth going. All in, a great day, well worth the money. I would do it again on next trip to lake Garda.Written September 17, 2024
- joangU3686ED0 contributionsOpera but no tour availableCarmen opera experience was spectacular, amazing venue and seats allowed for a good view, but buying a cushion is highly recommended for a 3 hr opera..if sitting on the stone circle seats. Our only/big disappointment was that we were sold an arena tour and opera package, but instead were given a 1 hour walking tour of Verona ( which we had already done ourselves all day) with our tickets…so we felt we had overpaid for something we didn’t really want. Pity to have missed a historical tour of the arena too.Written September 8, 2024
- Bump990 contributionsNot good I’m afraid! This trip did not permit enough time for anything at all! The morning coffee stop was at a roadside fuel station that was so busy there was not enough time to get a take-away coffee. The guide told us that at lake saroga she would check the weather condition and then see how many wanted to go up the cable car at Pardoi Pass. We paid €48 cash for two of us to go up to see nothing but white cloud. The restaurant at the top was so busy there were no seats so we descended to go to the Maria Restaurant recommended by our guide. There was no time remaining to eat so we grabbed a coffee and a toastie which we attempted to consume as the bus driver hurtled around the corners. Our coach left pardoi pass at 1.45pm. This is certainly not enough time to take in any sights / go up in cable car and enjoy a lunch. When we went over sella pass there were views of the peaks however we couldn’t take photos as we were still being hurtled round corners. Such a shame - even a five minute stop would’ve been appreciated by most of the passengers! We arrived at Ortosei early and left at 4pm. We were both very fed up and disappointed. My recommendation to anyone who wants to breathe some mountain air and see the dolomites is not to do this trip. We felt hurried, rushed and herded like sheep.Written September 7, 2024
- DJJonty0 contributionsWell organised and informative day trip to VeniceThe coach picked us up on time near our hotel. The tour guide (Janos?) was friendly, helpful and informative. The short boat trip from the coach park to the centre of Venice gave some great views along the Grand Canal. The walking tour had earphones and was lead by Janos. We had a good amount of free time in the afternoon before travelling back to Lake Garda. Good value for money.Written September 5, 2024

- DeeJayDee0 contributionsStunningly beautiful tour, with entertaining guideWe joined the tour at Malcesine (just outside it, opposite the Excelsior hotel) just before 8am After leaving the lake we started to climb and could see the mountains start to appear. Note: I started to take pictures. Leave it until you get out of the bus! These are just the foothills. After a stop for coffee we continued on before our first picture stop. Go down from the road on to the grass to get better pictures. We went on up winding roads that gave us views down the valley. Then we really started to climb, up to the pordoi pass. A chance to bit of lunch, take pictures, and take the cable car even higher - 3000m At the top there are paths to stroll around and take in the views. They really are breathtaking. Back to the bus and down through little towns with their traditional designed housing before a stop for apple strudel and coffee and to look at the wood carvings. Then it was back to Malcesine, being left off around 6pm Our guide provided a commentary all day, and I have to say that it became more entertaining as the day progressed. This was a super trip and I'd recommend strongly. The views are so spectacular. You do sit on a bus for quite a bit of the day but even then you can just look out the window and be amazed by the scenery. Don't forget - take pictures at the stops and just enjoy the views as you drive alongWritten August 27, 2024
- Murton680 contributionsFabulousThe scenery is spectacular and worth the hours spent on the coach. This is a very long day, roughly 12 hours. We had various stops, one for breakfast where the speciality was apple strudel. There is a cable car that goes up bit this is extra. The tour guide can get a discount but needs €23 per person in cash. Make sure you take a jacket or fleece it is really cold at the top.Written August 26, 2024
- 834stevenc0 contributionsLovely part of italy to exploreThe lake is bigger than i thought and glad we stayed in Garda as central to all parts of the lake, such a beautiful place to stay with so many restaurants on the front to choose from and very reasonable prices, try the many different ice creams, travelled to quite a few of the many towns on the lake by ferries which make a leisurely way of travelling. August very hot so if you don't like the heat go earlier or later in the year. we took a trip to the dolomites which was lovely and into Verona to watch the opera, both great excursions.Written August 25, 2024

The guide, Francesco, was very good, thank you very much, spoke English, German, Italian fluently and interestingly. Special thanks to the bus driver for his professionalism on winding and narrow roads. Conclusion: definitely recommend!Written August 16, 2024

Spent a lovely day in Venice. It was very busy as you’d expect, but not as busy as we thought it was going to be. Didn’t expect to have to paddle through St Marks Square later in the afternoon but that’s global warming. Wandered the back streets off St Marks and there were some lovely squares with churches well worth a visit and so quiet and peaceful. Also once away from St Marks most restaurants and shops seemed similar value to elsewhere.
Coach was lovely and comfortable, tour guide full of great information. She did speed off a bit on the guided tour but it didn’t last too long, so not a big deal. We didn’t choose the extra gondola trip or tour of the lagoon as we wanted to spend time in the city itself, but would recommend booking these extras with the tour guide as it’s cheaper than it is once you’re there.
Big tip of the day, don’t take a picnic there’s nowhere to eat it, we ate out, but fellow travellers were moved on when they tried to eat there pack-up and there are signs everywhere saying don’t sit down. Also not a great city if you have mobility issues or children in buggies.

We were collected on time from a point near our hotel and the coach driver and guide were extremely friendly and professional from the start. The journey was approx 2 hours with a comfort break. The transfer by boat to the drop off point near St Marks square gave some great view points of Venice. The walking tour was well organised and informative and we also
opted to take a Gondola ride organised by our guide, which was worth the cost and throughly enjoyable. The whole trip was very well organised and gave us enough free time to see the highlights of this beautiful city. We can totally recommend this company and this trip and will use them again when we return to Lake Garda.

We left from a meeting point in Sirmione and then picked up other people at other stops, in the end there were almost 50 of us on the bus. During the ride, the guide explained the history of Venice in English and German. On arrival the boat transfer was perfectly organized. Then, the guide showed us the major points of interest on foot for about 40 minutes. This part was a bit complicated because the guide was walking very fast and there were a lot of people, so we had a bit of difficulty following him and watching/listening. The rest of the time is then free until returning to the boat at 4:40 p.m. There was offered an optional 1 hour group boat tour to the Venice Islands with a meeting at 3:40 p.m. which we did not do. Also, the guide could help reserve a gondola for those who wanted it, allowing the price to be lowered by possibly grouping together. I note the following positive points: optimal organization, a competent and friendly guide and driver, a magnificent and extraordinary city. Points to improve: the visit on foot at a leisurely pace, also due to the crowds and the heat at lunchtime. In the end, I recommend this guided tour which greatly simplifies the visit to Venice 👍

A good tour with a brilliant tour guide and excellent bus.
Be warned!! You will have to pay extra to really enjoy venice. €110 extra for a couple to share a ride on a gondola with another couple for 30 mins and then a 1 hour trip around some islands in a boat where the only thing you could hear was the engine. If you don't partake in these extras, you are left to wander the over crowded streets of venice for an extra 2 hours. So, the true total of your trip for a couple is €280!! Also, it is very clear that venice is now just a Disney land falling apart under the strain of millions of barely welcome visitors. Clearly, the few locals left don't really want you there but begrudgingly admit that they need you.

Dear Guest, i understand your disappoint..
Venice is a very expensive city (however one of the most beautiful in the world).. by the way to fully enjoy Venice it is not necessary to go by gondola, you can discover some really suggestive places / churches, even free of charge..
I'm sorry the city didn't give you the right welcome..
I hope that another tour with us, like Verona or the Dolomites will make you happier! :)
Thank you, best regards, Riccardo

Amazing day trip to Venice!
Very well organised and structured (this was our second trip with the same tour company)
Thomas our guide was superb, very knowledgeable and so funny! He made the day special with all his tips for what to do while in Venice and his commentary during the bus trip.
This was an early start and late return however well worth it to see Venice (depends on where you are picked up from). The optional boat trip in the afternoon was really good too a great way to see more of Venice when you have limited time on a day trip. We especially liked the walking tour once in Venice was easy to follow Thomas with the headphones even in the rain
Highly recommend this day trip from Lake Garda!

We returned to Venice after many years, with our 3 kids. The trip was well-organised and our guide gave us flexibility but also helped us to do additional things, like a gondola trip, at competitive rates.
It was a long day trip from Limone, but one that should not be missed. A highlight.

The coach journey was v good with an experienced driver.
Venice is stunning, and we loved the experience despite the high temp and humidity, which was expected given a high summer visit.
The additional option offered by our guide of a lagoon cruise was v good and worthwhile. However it would have been helpful to understand that cash was required beforehand.
Our guide, although v nice, wasn't very informative/ knowledgeable, and once we reached Venice, there was an expectation that more knowledge of the city would have been shared - this was misleading as a guided tour and disappointing. The map provided was extremely poor and so small unreadable.
However, the guide gave clear instructions and was kindly which was appreciated.

Our tour guide & Venice was simply incredible. It was both beautiful architecturally and sad, witnessing the rise in water levels and some previous homes/businesses shut down. It was also busy with tourists everywhere. Never the less, it was well organised and lead by our tour guide who was hilarious throughout. During the long coach ride, he made it fun and had great banter as some would say. Highly recommended 👍

This is a brilliant trip. A long long day but so worth the effort. Myself and my two kids took the day tour from lake garda. Everything rang smoothly from the off. We had the most fantastic tour guide, Thomas you are a breath of fresh air, such a happy disposition with a sense of humor to boot. You are brilliant at your job, made sure we were all looked after and kept us all together. So articulate and professional with a knowledge beyond my comprehension. Cannot say enough good things about you. Lovely safe bus driver too. Venice is stunning, crammed with tourists, so so busy and mixed in with the heat it's not pleasant trying to get around. Its fiercely expensive, you will easily pay 20 euro for a slice of pizza and a drink. We had the option of going on the gondolas or a boat trip. This was optional and was only mentioned en route. Gondolas 30 euro, boat trip 25 euro. This is not mentioned in the write up advertising the tour but then again its optional so you don't have to do either. All in all a great day out, Thomas makes the tour 100% worth doing as long as u don't mind crowds and heat!!!
