- markusegermann00Great day with great guide. Thanks Tristan for the highlight in our holidays. The organisation was perfect, we felt always very safe and learned a lot. The trip was a challange for some of us and overall a big fun for the entire family. Tristan was very well prepared and a perfect guide. At the end he recommended a chestnut cake and sausages produced in the local village. @Tristan. Thanks we bouht both and it was fantastic. If we will come back (and we will) we defenitely will plan our next tour with him. Cheers Markus and Family
- L7042MYtimb00Excellent and fun.My 2 daughters (8 and 10) and I had a great adventure completing the via corda at Casteljau today. Our guide, Alexis, was brilliant. He helped us traverse some daunting drops, helping my 8 year old if she struggled and led us along a path with constant breathtaking views. The final decent was being lowered about 30m vertically down to the edge of the river and my girls loved it! I had to change my booking from 4 to 3 on the morning of the activity and Gecco rang me up that evening to explain that they had refunded the money (even though I had changed this 3 hours before the start of the activity and sent an email to explain that I did not expect a refund) - excellent service.
- familyTawe00Canyoning avec Nicolas Haut Chassezac day tripGreat day trip in this marvelous piece of nature. Superbly guided tour with special care of our 9 year old to master certain impressive experiences. Always present with the right level of advice. Highly recommended , M
- nathalieenrob00CanyoningWhat an experience! A must for your stay in the Ardeche,/Lozere. My daughter and I had a blast with Nicolas and 4 other people today. jumping, sliding, swimming, enjoying the beautiful nature. We went canyoning. When I was forced to quit halfway because of an eye migraine, Nicolas guided safely back. Overall we lookback at an experience we didn't wanna miss. We are Dutch and speaking was mostly in English and French. So, pack your swinmming gear, and book this wild experience. Nathalie and Ilse, Pays-Bas
- AnkeBXL00Awesome adventureWe went canyoning with two small children. The guide was very experienced and very nice. He explained that we didn't have to do anything and could always go over land it we didn't feel like sliding or jumping. That gave the children an out. The trip was just challenging enough for our five year old. His niece didn't really like the river but she loved climbing the rocks. The organisation provided us with a camera so we could have pictures of this trip. We would fully recommend!
- Mathian197400Canyon du bas chassezac en familleWe really have had a great morning with Jeremy who was brilliant with the kids. Nice relaxed pace with lots of fun jumps and slides. It was our first canyon as a family and the boys 7 and 10 yo now want to become canyoning instructors! Recommended.
- WillWoodhill00Superb family experienceDid canyon with 2 kids aged 9 and 7. Great fun and beautiful views, monitor Cédric gave clear instructions and was very patient with the kids. They even did a 6.5m jump, which we did not expect upfront. Easy reservation online. Highly recommended.

What an experience! Yesterday we did the 1/2 day canyoning du haute chassezac. In the beginning we were a little bit nervous because we never went canyoning before. We went with the whole family with 3 kids ( age 10,11 and 13).
Tristan was our guide for the day. He was very professional en nice with the children, so we were immediatly at ease. From the start we had correct and clear information about our material, what to expect in the activity, etc...
First you have to walk to the canyon for approximately 30 minutes with your own material ( wetsuit, helmet, belt, drinking water) on your back. When you are down in the canyon you have the time to put your gear on. It was not easy to put ourselves into those neopreensuits...also the children where a bit stressed but we got a lot of help from Tristan and he explained to us it was important that the suits were tight to protect ourselves from the cold water...once you’re in the water the suit feels not uncomfortable anymore and the water was refreshing but not too cold. And then the canyoning started! Gliding, swimming, rappel, jumping from heights ( we did the 2 m and 4 m jump, but the 6 m was too scary...so we left it to the other group members. The high jumps are not obligated, so you can choose if you do them or not. It was great to see the children having so much fun! Even our youngest (almost 10) who is the most scared one loved everything! The nature in the canyon is amazing, take a time to look around you! I think we were 2 hours and a half or maybe 3 hours in the water but time flies when you’re having fun! And then the toughest part...walking back up with your gear (backpack of wet swimsuit, belt, helmet). The walk back is hard it’s uphill on a rocky path and takes about 40 minutes to 1 hour ( depending on the speed of your group). Sometimes we asked for a pause to rest and have a sip of water, but that was no problem. And then...we made it to the top!! All sweaty but who cares! I’m so proud of our family we did this together and we all had a great time! One of our best activities of our trip in France! Again special thanks to our guide Tristan from gecco adventure for his professional, reassuring, childfriendly way of working. We surely recommend this and we will come back!
Thank you very much for this experience!

We had the most amazing day in the canyon with Maxime F - a friendly and supportive Gecco guide who helped the four of us (kids 11 and 12) to jump, slide, scramble and swim for four hours amidst the most breathtaking scenery. An onlooker might think that the activities might feel dangerous, but under his calm guidance, each moment was one of pure pleasure. We can't quite believe that we made it to the end, but we would all do it again in a heartbeat. If you are within 200km of Haut Chassezac, this is a "must do" actviity for anyone seeking to discover (and break through) their limits.

Yesterday we did the “Bas-Chassezac Family” canyoning. It was a great morning! Thanks to our guide Jeremy (who also speaks very good English). He was very patient with the group and told us much about the area. We loved the waterslides and of course the (high) jumps.
Thanks for this experience!

Just returned from the half day 10+ canyoning. Really good fun which was not too difficult for our 10 & 12 year olds but still challenging enough to keep us adults happy. Cedric our instructor was great giving guidance in French English and Spanish. Good range of waterfalls jumps and slides with a reasonably energetic walk down/ up the canyon. Our daughter (10) said it was the best day of her life! Would definitely recommend and also do again!

We had the most amazing half day Via Ferrata experience - myself and 3 boys of 16, 14 and 10 years.Stunning scenery and a fabulous parcours. Mathilde was a really fantastic guide, extremely competent, reassuring and attentive to the different abilities within the group. This trip was a highlight of our two week stay and I would highly recommend it to all those who enjoy an adventure ( but do not have a problem with heights! ).

We had the most brilliant time canyoning on the Chassezac river. Jeremy our guide was fantastic and made us feel very safe. We are a family of 3 with a 17 year daughter and this was an excellent family activity for all ages with plenty of challenge for the thrill seekers but no pressure if you aren't comfortable with some of the higher jumps. We were with a small group with two other families, one French and one German - language was no obstacle to the fun we all had. Can't recommend this activity and Gecco highly enough thank you.

We (46, 11, 9) booked a half day trip canyoning with Gecco Aventures and have not been disappointed. The slides, jumps and abseilings were fantastic and our guide was always helpful and cared about our safety. Thanks, Jeremy for this really nice 1/2 day. The scenery in the Chassezac is fantastic as well, I highly recommend this activity - in case you like some action...

Thanks to Cedric for leading us in a really fun afternoon of canyoning. We walked up river for around half an hour from Pied-de-Borne and then donned our wetsuits (all provided, exactly the right sizes) and started sliding, swimming, crawling and jumping. Mum, dad and three children aged 14, 12, and 10 all came away feeling we’d achieved new things and talking with excitement about doing it again. We felt safe, encouraged and well-looked after. Thoroughly recommend this trip and this company.
