I am amazed at how friendly and sociable the alpacas are. We've had a wonderful morning, initially learning about them then walking them (one per person on a lead) for an hour or so, then feeding the large herd. They are all so placid that this would be suitable for most ages. Kat the guide was great, really knowledgeable and never rushed us when we wanted to take countless photos. The alpacas are well cared for too. I'd highly recommend this if you're looking for something fun and completely different. (It's cheaper to book direct with Brackenfield on their own website than through a third party).

My wife purchased this trek for me as a surprise Christmas Present. When we arrived we were introduced to two of the young ladies who look after the Alpacas.

They introduced us to the two young Alpacas whom we were to trek around the farm with. After a very interesting and detailed introduction Vicky encouraged us to ask questions as we progressed. She mentioned she had only been in the job for a short time but she was extremely confident and knowledgeable.

We were very lucky as we were the only people on the trek. The chosen Alpacas were great fun and the experience finished with us being able to feed the entire herd.

All in all a brilliant couple of hours we can recommend this activity to those young and old as myself and wife are in our late 60's.

Great experience. Guide (sorry there were so many alpaca names, I actually forgot yours) was so knowledgeable and informative in a jovial manner. Alpacas were very well cared for and very friendly/easy to handle. The walking trail was perfect and we got to see all the other alpacas on the farm.
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting

We had a fantastic time at Brackenfield Alpacas this December for a hen do of 6.
The ladies greeted us cheerily with the cutest pack of Alpacas ever. Colourful bow ties on and looking their best, even in the grey weather.
Our guide (I'm sorry I'm useless with names) was brilliant and answered all our questions before and during the walk. We were each leading an alpaca and a few swaps to suit personalities kept us all entertained for the activity.
We especially enjoyed the Alpaca "boops" and feeding then at the end of the walk.
I would 100% recommend this activity to anyone, we had a fantastic time and would love to return again.
Thank you all again!

Enjoyable couple of hours spent meeting the alpacas. Interesting talk first all about the breeds and their coat. Relaxed atmosphere chatting as we went on the trek. We were amazed at the characters of the alpacas they really shone through on and made us laugh so much. Their big beautiful eyes are so adorable. We walked them round the grounds and then fed them while in the paddocl. Thank you for a lovely time.

What a unique experience! The Hosts were amazing, as I can see others have suggested. They have a huge love for the alpacas and a wealth of knowledge. The farm itself is in an excellent location also. The Alpacas are of course adorable. Despite the poor weather conditions on our visit, the family made us feel very welcome indeed. I think it’s brilliant that the trek includes learning about the alpacas prior and then feeding them afterwards. You are all brilliant! Thank you for the hospitality.

We went for a birthday treat as it was an acticity that was safe to do during lockdown as gloves were on offer and the harnesses were all sanitised. Very welcoming and friendly. We got to see a 3 hour newbie. We were all very chuffed with that treat. The weather was amazing and the views as you walked around with your friendly alpaca was gorgoeous. We all learnt alot and had great fun at the same time.

We had a fabulous Alpaca Trek experience. Our guide Sophie has so much detailed knowledge about Alpacas and an obvious love for the animals and her job.
The time just whizzed by, and we felt so relaxed and happy after our trek and meeting the rest of the herd.
Do yourselves a treat and go home happy after an Alpaca Trek at Brakenfield.

On holiday in the area we were looking for different things to do. We came across the Alpaca experience by chance. I have to say it was one of the best experiences I have had. Some information was given about the alpacas and then we went for a trek across the fields with our chosen alpaca. Plenty of opportunities for photos. Once the trek was over we were then able to feed the alpacas and spend some time with them. The alpacas are definitely well loved and our guide knew the personality of every individual alpaca.

We were staying over for the weekend and had loads of activities to do including quad biking, archery etc. but this was voted the best thing we did all holiday.
What a lovely way to spend the day!

Not only do you get to walk with these lovely animals and feed them but the brilliant staff teach you all about Camelids, all in all worth every penny and we will be going back again very soon.

Would highly recommend to anyone.

Thank you for a great experience and some superb memories.
