We had an absolutely fantastic time with Moddy on our canal boat, Wat Pho, and Wat Arun temple tour! Moddy wasn't just knowledgeable about the history and culture, she was incredibly engaging and made the entire experience so much fun. Apicha took us on a food tasting tour of the Chinatown market and was an excellent guide! He not only guided us to safe vendors, he also explained a lot about the Thai culture. We finished with a dinner in a very local restaurant which was amazing and definitely not something we could have found on our own. I only wish I had a bigger stomach!!

Moody speaks English well. Her knowledge of Buddhism was enlightening and we very much enjoyed the experience of listening to the traditional Buddhist practice of chanting and talking with a monk afterwards. The temples and meditation areas are beautiful. We also took an evening market food tour with Maddy that was filled with delicious food that we would not have known to try. She is very kind and went out of her way to make our experiences on both tours excellent.

Sudarat was a gem for the whole family from start to finish of the tour. She kept all of us entertained and we really enjoyed our Bangkok tour! I do not normally leave reviews but our day to the floating market and more was just wonderful. Polly, our guide, struck the right balance between being informative and letting us experience it for ourselves. Her interactions with market traders helped us gain insights we never would have by ourselves, and her kindness and guidance in other matters was flawless. The driver drove well, smoothly and safely and was very polite. Polly capped off the return journey with an impromptu suggestion based on a story of mine from a previous visit. That was very thoughtful and made the day truly special for us all. Highly recommended. Thank you.

This was a really great experience, especially since my 4 teenagers can sometimes lose interest fast. Not this time! The day had just enough enough switching of activities to keep everyone happy as we didn't stay in any one place (or boat) too long. The van they picked us up in couldn't have been nicer - I mean it was first class! At the floating market, the canal boat ride we took before we switched to a paddle boat for the floating market was really nice - we enjoyed seeing the different 'neighborhoods' and we saw several huge monitor lizards. I do feel like going with With Locals made the experience better than most of those I have done with Get Your Guide or Viator. It was the little things like Piyaporn taking the initiative to grab things for us at the floating market (that she paid for) like bananas fried in coconut milk, coconut ice cream, mango sticky rice, etc. She would just grab something and say "Try this!". Or the cold wet towels when we got back in the van at the end of the day to head home. And the super nice driver we had. And I'm not sure if it happens on every booking, but we also got to make a quick stop (on the canal tour) at a property with some amazing old Chinese boats and some of the most beautiful large Thai carvings I have seen since arriving. I wasn't sure if driving an hour and half from Bangkok would be worth it but it totally was. I've never seen anything like the floating market and when you couple that with canal tour, the railway market and coconut farm - it was a total yes for us. And I would absolutely book with With Locals again.

We had a truly wonderful experience with Piyaporn. She was informative, kind, fun to be with, and really went out of her way to show us the area, the foods in the market and to ensure that we had an incredible tour. I would highly recommend her and this tour to anyone. I appreciated that it included the motorized boat tour at the end when we went through the neighborhood on the water by the temple. That was interesting to see and not something other tours offered.

My husband and I had the most amazing day with Saravarint. In addition to the scheduled stops we stopped a few additional spots that are less touristy and she was so knowledgeable. We learned so much and had the best time! (And local food)

ChetChai was extremely knowledgeable and taught us all different things about Bangkok, Buddhism, showed us high points of various temples and monuments. He also showed us how to make lotus offerings at the temples and took us on a tuk-tuk ride through the flower market it was truly an amazing journey. He was a kind and wonderful guide, I would highly recommend him.
