We booked our visit through the Vineyard website before travelling to Galicia. We requested a tour in English. When we arrived we were greeted by a very friendly member of staff who went to find Maria who looked after us for the rest of the visit. The visit started with a short drive up the hill to the Vineyard itself where we were able to walk through the lower rows of vines and use the viewpoint to look out over river valley below. Maria had good English and was wonderfully enthusiastic about the Vineyard and it's workings. She was very knowledgeable and eager to answer any questions we had. She came from the area and it was obvious she loved both her work and her homeland. She apologized for the occasional need to find the English words to explain something but she succeeded every time. We returned to the production unit where Maria explained the process of winemaking and we were shown the large fermentation vessels etc. The visit ended with a tasting of two wines accompanied by cheese and cracker's in a very nicely designed bar area. The whole experience was excellent and extremely good value for money. I recommend this experience without hesitation.

Very nice tour through the vineyard and the production facility. Even though we just dropped in and were the only non-Spanish speaking people we still got the tour in English. Our guide, Paula, was very nice and provided a very clear explanation.

Viña Costeira is a large winery just outside Ribadavia in Galicia. We had booked a tour and tasting for just €10 per head and were very impressed with everything! The tour started with a short drive up the road to visit the vineyard and enjoy the spectacular view over the Valley. This was followed by a comprehensive tour of the winery itself with interesting information about the grapes and white wine making process of this region. It was finished off with a delicious tasting of 3 quality white wines plus a choice of liquor. The prices to buy the wine were very reasonable indeed! Highly recommended!
