Kieran is a fountain of knowledge. Brings the Rebel History of Cobh alive. If you want to see another side of Cobh History definitely take this Tour. This was my second time doing it and it won't be my last.

This tour was FANTASTIC. I really enjoyed this. I learnt so much and loved the passion in all of his stories! Would thoroughly recommend this to anyone. Wouldn't suit anyone who is unable to walk up hills. But for anyone else I would 100% recommend!

Prior to taking this tour I had read numerous books on Ireland and the fight for independence from the UK..The gentlemen giving the tour is extremely knowledgeable and brings life to history. I would highly recommend this tour on your visit to Cobh Ireland..

A wonderful tour around Cobh on a cold Autum day, with the hugely knowledgeable Kieran. Highly recommended to those who want to find out a bit more about the history of early 20th Century Ireland and how it relates to the British Isles as a whole. Kieren has a great knowledge of history relating to the town of Cobn and the details he told us regarding past characters of the town were very interesting. Each item is presented in an interesting way that even my girlfriend liked (who is not into history). Especially the bits about survivors after a death in their family. The walk itself was not too arduous, though you do need to be able to cope with a few hills and steps. The tour made me wish that I had more time to spend in the town. Plenty of opportunities to take photos. When you go on as tour like this you begin to realise that there is much more to many towns that you would ever find out from the tourist office. Highly recomended.

This was a wonderful tour explaining Cobh’s role and participation in the struggle for Irish independence. You could tell this was something the guide felt passionate about and he made the history come alive. He answered questions, got to know us, and entertained us by taking us to the places where Irish rebels carried out their fight for independence. He also seemed to know just about everybody in town. I loved someone who is passionate about his local history sharing that with us. Highly recommend!

Our group of 4 had a wonderful walking tour of Cobh, highlighting the significant role of this small town in the struggle for Irish independence. An exceptional tour! We booked this independently with Kieran. He met us outside the Titanic/Lusitania museum close to our ship, The Silhouette. He looked amazing in his costume. Throughout the couple of hours he took us from site to site, pointing out the importance of it in 20th Century Irish history. Kieran brought the characters alive: 'The lookout for the ambush was called X and he was only 15 years old. He stood in that doorway when...' well, I wouldn't like to spoil it for you! History comes alive with a guide like him! Would we go again? Yes!
