- X3441RBannaj0 contributionsBig highlight of our Cobh stay!It was fantastic!! Super interesting to hear the stories of people around Cobh and their own haunting, especially from the perspective of a critic! Loved the story telling and the little walk we took. Couldn’t recommend enough!Written August 27, 2024

- Sophia Christin... R0 contributionsCreepy - but in the most charming way possible! We had the pleasure of being shown around by Pat and enjoyed every second of it! Pat is a great storyteller and you can tell he knows every stone in his city. It was so much more authentic and entertaining than these ghost tours offered by bigger companies where the guides just rattle off a prescribed text. Pat spent a lot of time with us, had a great sense of humour and told us a lot of very spooky ghost stories. It was a wonderful evening, thank you so much. 💚Written July 26, 2024
- E4650NZdarrenk0 contributionsHighly enjoyable tourI had a very enjoyable tour with Michael. He is a fountain of knowledge of all things Cobh and gives good context and sourcing for the stories.Written July 25, 2024
- ERIC72560 contributionsCork city tour.Mary our guide was excellent, very knowledgeable and helpful. It was the Cork city tour we did. My wife unfortunately never attended the tour due to illness. Mary was very concerned about her. God love her.Written June 25, 2024
- melindalziel0 contributionsPat is great!!We had a great time with Pat walking around beautiful Cobh and hearing ghost stories. I really enjoyed meeting Pat, he's a great storyteller and also very funny! I loved that he had personal experience with all of the stories so he was able to give a lot of the historical information and even other historical facts about the places we passed along the way. I hope to see him again when we return to Cobh on a future trip!Written June 2, 2024
- SabrinaS1800 contributionsNot to be missed!!First of all, we would like to say a big thank you to Michael, who made a big exception for us and was so kind and let us re-use our tickets that we couldn't redeem some time ago. The ghost tour with Pat, our tour guide, was great fun and we both enjoyed it immensely. Pat is a character, a great entertainer and very knowledgeable. The stories we were told were both interesting and scary. Even though we don't live far from Cobh, this was new to us, so if you think you know it all, you don't 😉 We can only recommend this tour, it's certainly something different. Thank you for a fantastic experience! Sabrina & NeilWritten September 4, 2023
- raycambs0 contributionsOk but pricey ghost tourIt was an ok tour but some of the tales told didn’t flow so well in terms of background and context. Also, we found the tour to be simply too pricey for what it was- around 22 euros each for 1 hour whereas other tours in the area such as the Kinsale ghost tour is only 12 euros per person.Written August 30, 2023
- aminamK4544RU0 contributionsCork City RambleI went with my team from work as we do team building every year. My team and I thought the walk was very good and it was great to learn about our Irish culture. One of the cool things was that when we were by the La Chateau pub the tour guide let us know that underneath us was the water flowing from the river Lee. We also learned about Nano Nagle and the tour was packed with a load of interesting facts that I or my team never knew before.Written July 20, 2023
- jackielY2470AR0 contributionsMust do!Michael was a great guide! The ghost tour was informative and interesting with tales of the legends of Cobh harbor. Would highly recommend adding to your itinerary in Cobh!Written July 12, 2023
- CatherineSofia19910 contributionsBrilliant, creepy fun!I love all things supernatural, so myself and two friends joined Michael for the ghost tour while they were visiting from the UK. Despite it being a bright summer’s evening, the stories sent a shiver up my spine. Michael was a welcoming, humorous and interesting tour guide with a broad knowledge of both the history of Cobh and the ghostly events that are said to have taken place around the area. A story about the top floor of one of the local hotels was particularly frightening and got a strong reaction out of everyone on the tour. I can tell that Michael had plenty more stories to tell and I’d have happily listened to him speak for another hour! Afterwards we went into the Commodore Hotel for a few drinks and spoke to the bar manager about the tour, which prompted her to tell us a few stories of her own. This is a must for anyone who likes a good fright and I’ll definitely be back the next time I have visitors.Written July 4, 2023
- dmcdmcd750 contributionsA wonderful walking tour of CorkA wonderful introduction to Cork in this short but very informative walking tour. We had Nuala to ourselves, which was a treat, as she was very knowledgeable - delivering stories about her home town with clear passion and humour.Written June 16, 2023
- Boult15020 contributionsCork History excl. Titanic info.We were interested in gaining so knowledge of the history of Cork city. However, there were few opportunities to ask questions and the comments were random rather than giving the listener a historical understanding of Cork. The guide did not seem to be a professional guide enough to make the tour engaging. The theatre, Huguenots graveyard and some architectural observations were ok. The canal or rivers that had been covered formed the curving nature of today's streets.Written June 3, 2023

Michael is a great guide & gave us wonderful stories & background on this guided walking tour of Cobh.
He is so interested in the area & the whole Titanic topic that you leave the trip feeling that you have been part of the whole Titanic/Cobh experience. It is a great way to start a holiday in this area as Michael points out all the relevant & interesting attractions & landmarks that you could easily miss.
I would recommend this trip. There is not a lot of walking involved as the area covered is quite compact.

Patrick was a saint in welcoming us to Ireland for the first time! He took us on this fascinating walking tour which not only featured insights about the Titanic but also the sinking of the Lusitania, including a fabulous memorial Cobh children to those perished. As we slowly walked and he talked, he was greeted by family and friends of whom he made a point of introducing to us as if we were family. He shares a fabulous story about hometown celebrity athlete Jack Doyle as we wended our way to the Cathedral of Cobh, St. Colman's of which we toured inside and from where we got a great view of the city and port from the outside.

An excellent walking tour of Cobh. We went - 4 friends - on May 4th. Our leader, Pat, knows everything about Cobh and the Titanic and tells the stories in an entertaining way - he's a born raconteur ! Great fun !

We booked this tour through Trip Advisor. As we were the only people on the tour, Michael (Dr Michael Martin) was kind enough to give us nearly two hours of knowledge and enthusiasm regarding Cork Harbour history and authentic story of the Titanic. An expert in this area, the information was interesting and the time fly by. I look forward to reading his book and watching his video on Cobh Cathedral, which is on youtube. You will not be disappointed with his tour (only if you leave Cobh without doing it!) Couldn't recommend it more. Carol and Lawrence

Visited Cobh 16 Jul and really enjoyed a very informative and interesting tour by Dr Michael Martin. As well as his unique insight into the Titanic story he also explains the strategic and economic importance of Cork Harbour over many centuries. If you're in Cork on your 'staycation' this summer, a visit to Cobh and the Titanic trail is certainly worthwhile.

Very nice walking tour of Cobh. Katherine, our guide was excellent. She used a small microphone with speaker and made sure we could all hear her. Learned interesting things about the Titanic and when it stopped in Cobh. Just a bit over an hour long. Does involve walking a hill.

We were able to sign up for the "Titanic Heritage Trail & Irish Coffee" tour as part of our cruise that visited Cobh. Our guide Pat gave us a lovely walk about town, with many interesting insights to help us understand the cities history, and imagine some of our ancestors who had emigrated from Ireland. There were plenty of opportunities for questions and chat. We started from the pier and walked up to the cathedral and finished at the Cobh Heritage Center. Our tour also included a pop in to a pub for Irish coffee - and the other patrons didnt seem to mind a bunch of tourists with cruise ship stickers crowding in : ) The guide was also very accommodating to those who decided a Guinness or needed a soft drink or non-whiskey coffee. My family really enjoyed this walking tour. I would recommend.

This was an excellent tour that lasted just over an hour. Our guide named Marion provided lots of information. We made various stops around Cobh. The walking pace was nice. The last stop was at the cathedral that's at the top of hill. She took us on a more gradual route instead of the steeper incline. There was a choice when we signed up online of a morning tour or an afternoon one. My husband & I took the afternoon tour. We totally enjoyed it since we got history & information on the town as well as info about the Titanic & the Lusitania.

This was absolutely fantastic. Michael is an incredibly knowledgeable friendly man, who is truly passionate for what he does. He's extremely approachable and will answer any question thrown his way, with great clarity. We had a great experience, and will recommend him and his business to anyone going to Cobh!

We enjoyed the tour. Our guide was friendly and knowledgable. She was a local so could talk not just about the Titanic/Lusitania but the town as well. We covered a lot of ground, and everything our guide discussed was interesting. We only wish we could've gone inside the Titanic Experience museum as part of the tour (though that would've been tough to do in an hour)!

I will be traveling solo and visiting Cobh on 9/5/23.
I am very interested in your walking tour but seem unable to book a time due to my solo status. Is it possible to participate in this walking tour as a solo visitor? If so, I would like to book a time on the above date. Thank you for your help.

I would think you could book the tour as a solo person. When we went earlier this month in July 2023, there were only 3 of us on the tour plus the tour guide. My husband & I and then a man who was by himself. I would email them & ask about booking as a solo. I'd use the email address that they post on their website. Or you could call them.

Does this tour go to the Cathedral? (I hope not! I tend to spend a lot of time in Cathedrals!)
Also, do you recommend going to the Titanic Museum before or after the tour? Thank you!

Hi, I am interested in this tour but we also want to visit the titanic museum and get tickets for a tour there as well. We will be in port from 8am until 8pm. Is it possible to do this tour as well as visiting the titanic museum? if so how much traveling will we need to do to be able to go from this tour to the titanic museum? thanks!!
