100% recommend for families, recreators, solo travellers, friends and/or couples. The beauty of Rachel is she is able to tailor any situation. For our family, looking into our Irish heritage in County Mayo, Rachel knocked it out of the park. Our kids now know their families place in history, and the Achille Island/ Cleveland connection. We would not have found that without Rachel. She is incredible at assessing what each member of the travelling party needs then translating that to the bigger group picture. I have called her the family whisperer:). Each day she picked us up early and dropped us around dinner time, she had homework for us each night, restaurant recommendations, and pubs to seek out. We had a blast playing cards, drinking Guinness and talking over the days events. As a long time travel agent for my family, turning over the planning to an Ireland expert, someone with your family's best interests and experiences at heart, was such a gift. Rachel is a gift. We are definitely going back for the Northern Ireland version, motivated to get in better shape for the hikes, gear up for the cold water Atlantic dips, play more hearts in pubs, try more irish whiskey's, enjoy the scenic vistas, the great food, and the simpler way of life. No better travel campanion or tour guide then Rachel, it's like visiting family, they really want you to enjoy yourselves.

We found Rachel through the Internet and met with her by zoom to plan the trip. It really could not have gone better. She is an absolute delight to work with and her knowledge of Ireland, Irish history, restaurants, hikes, beaches, and more is top notch. She’s also a delightful human to spend time with and it is so nice to have her as a driver so that we did not have to worry about maps and figuring out where we were going. She made excellent hiking and restaurant recommendations. Each day had a rough plan based on how we were feeling and the weather and we decided the day before exactly what we wanted to do on the following day. For our family, she was the perfect guide. She gets along with all ages and really all people. it was clear that a lot of people knew her and adored her. She took us to local restaurants and local coffee shops. Her recommendations for places to stay were spot on. We would love to travel with her again! Also, Ireland is just spectacular.

Our tour with Iszy with RIA was the best 3 days of our time in Ireland! We so enjoyed the variety of activities, and Iszy's congenial and expert commentary on the sights. We visited the coast and did a spectacular hike on the Queen Maeve trail; she was so thoughtful and brought healthy, fresh snacks! We walked in the "fairy" forest near the River Moy, and visited the super interesting Lynch castle. Our first ever seaweed bath was so relaxing. The baking class with Marjory at Brigown B&B was fun and the food absolutely delicious. I highly recommend Rachel's Irish Adventures!

Ireland is amazing! Rachel is such a wonderful tour guide and host! Really, she was part of our family for the week! We wanted an active, local experience and she delivered! We hiked or cycled everyday, whiskey tasting, and baking! She went out of her way to ensure our holiday was what we were looking for and we were flexible to,adjust to the weather. March is iffy time to go because of the weather and it is pre-season for travel. However, the weather cooperated and Rachel found the open cafes, etc so it was not an issue. We loved the less tourist filled west coast experience and highly recommend Rachel as a tour guide! Worth every penny!

Rachel's Irish Adventures was the perfect tour opportunity to see behind the scenes of Ireland. We had so many opportunities- visiting museums, getting cooking lessons, hiking beautiful vistas, riding bikes, watching sheep herding, hiking, eating at great restaurants, taking food tours and the list goes on. Rachel coordinated everything and tailored the tour to our needs. She hauled our luggage, checked into amazing hotels for us, made dinner recommendations and reservations for us and provided a wealth of info about the beautiful country of Ireland. This is how you see a country! A grand experience and we are just waiting for her to expand to another country so we can book again.

Our family rented bicycles for a week during our stay in County Mayo. Rachel and Iszy were fantastic with service and communication and I'd absoutely recommend them to anyone traveling in the area. Thank you!

We spent 11 days with Rachel Nolan traveling up the Wild Atlantic Way and the Northern Ireland before returning to Dublin. We worked with Rachel 14 months prior to our trip date, indicated what we wanted to see, experience and do. She and her support team put together our itinerary for our once in a lifetime family vacation that absolutely exceeded all expectations. The best part was that when issues came up, (for example, hotel boiler went out so we had to move hotels) it was seamless for us and all seemed part of the trip. She took experiences that we indicated we wanted and made them even better. Instead of experiencing the sea cliffs at busy bus-filled tourist spots, we hiked trails along the Wild Atlantic Way that were breathtaking, awesome, inspirational…you get the idea…AND we would see no more than 4-10 people while we were on the trails. Rachel was part of our vacation, not our guide. She was motivational, adaptable, and passionate throughout the trip. And the best part, she was able to read our body language (truly empathetic) and would adjust on the fly with our itinerary. Our sons had another 10 days planned in Europe before returning to Dublin to fly home 10 days after we (mom and dad) flew home. She worked with them in planning their return to Dublin and where to stay. This will not be the last time our family works with her as we plan future vacations in Ireland and Europe. We have already identified friends of our that would be interested in the same type of Irish adventures that we experienced and made clear that if they ever go to Ireland they need to work with Rachel. As stated earlier, Rachel and this trip exceeded our expectations and the money we spent was worth every penny. We did not pay too much for the experience we had, if anything, she could have charged us more! TOP CLASS, Rachel!

Amazing trip with Rachel! I would recommend her every time. She took us on multiple hikes which were once in a lifetime hikes, biking to see castles, cuddled some sheep, did a whiskey tasting (which for someone who isn't as fond of whiskey I still had a great time), and baking class. She makes you feel right at home in her country and gives you all the tips on where we should go to eat/drink. We went swimming three different times and though it was cold - what a great experience swimming in Ireland! As we drove around with her she answered all of our questions and we got to know her (she is pretty awesome) - so we also didn't have to attempt to drive on the other side of the road. Overall, don't hesitate to book a trip with her. You will experience Ireland in a way that will make you feel like Ireland is your home.

We did a multi day bike tour on the Wild Atlantic Way. Along it I saw and experienced all the things I could have want to see in Ireland. The forest, castles, countryside, food, and people were amazing. And all of it on a bike too!! The logistics Rachel and Izzy had for us was the best.

We enjoyed an amazing week with Rachel's Irish Adventures cycling through beautiful County Mayo! Rachel knows all the best locations and is so knowledgeable about the history and culture of Ireland. We saw castles, abbeys, the gorgeous seaside and even visited a sheep farm where we saw a sheep dog in action and got to hold the baby lambs. I can't recommend Rachel's Irish Adventures enough! Racheal was everything and much, much more then we expected. Our adventure took us to many beautiful places on the Wild Atlantic Coast and to Northern Ireland. We wanted off the beaten path and she made that happen. We wanted to hike and that definatly happened. She was so knowledgeable, funny and fit. The picnic lunches were superb. All the resturants and lodging she booked for us were excellent. We highly recommend you take the adventure of a lifetime with her!

Class! From the moment we first connected with Rachel we knew we had found the perfect person to help us create an unforgettable Irish Adventure. Rachel is passionate about all things outdoors, about whiskey, about her country, food, history, and so much more. She has a genuine love of people and revels in seeing that they enjoying themselves and create lasting, once-in-a-lifetime memories. We spent 12 incredible, and different days with Rachel, most of it off the beaten track, in Counties Mayo, Donegal, Sligo, Clare and Galway. We hiked everyday – each hike surprisingly different from the previous, and all spectacularly beautiful. Rachel makes a point of tailoring each day to the needs and wants of her group, and continually reminded us that this was ‘our’ holiday. She is superb at adjusting itineraries around weather, and unforeseen circumstances (in our case, the Queen’s funeral which closed all tourist venues in Northern Ireland, and us getting Covid!). We loved how she made us feel so much a part of her life, her people and her home. She has boundless energy. She is a first-rate (and very safe) driver! While I did close my eyes many times, I did not for a second doubt that she would navigate brilliantly around the sheep, the tour buses, other drivers on roads that were barely wide enough for one vehicle. There is not a thing (other than getting Covid, and the fact that we gave it to her Mam) that we would change. We came to Ireland for an adventure, and got so much more. We consider Rachel a friend, one that we hope will visit us in Canada soon. Rachel is the epitome of ‘The Craic’. 12 days was not nearly long enough.

Rachel was beyond excellent for touring our group around the Wild Atlantic Way. Supportive and knowledgeable. A+ itinerary integrated with locals. If you want an active vacation and seeing the secret non-touristy spots - search no further. Amazing time in Co Mayo, Ireland!
