About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- nrodrido0 contributionsGreat demonstration would do againExcellent demonstration with Tom, PJ and Rex. Would definitely recommend if you enjoy watching dogs work and experience the bond between handler and dog. Beautiful scenery on the way to the farm in Connemara National Park and Kylemore Abbey.Written August 29, 2024
- E4474GGjenniferm0 contributionsNot just another day in IrelandWe had a fabulous time with Patrick, who explained so much to us; not only about the places we visited but also about life in Ireland.. today and past.Written August 27, 2024
- 540AnneL0 contributionsWonderful experienceWonderful farm in grand nature. We were welcomed by Patrick, who was used to tourists and gave everyone a fantastic experience. Roy the border collie delivered, and it was fun to cut the wool of a sheep and to hold a lamb.Written August 20, 2024
- F1747DJjoer0 contributionsExpensive Horseback ride, with no historyI was very disappointed with the Horseback riding tour through the battlefields. I was so excited to experience the battlefields up close, but it was more of an expensive horseback riding experience. I told one of the operators that we couldn't hear, one rider was very slow and held us back from the gentleman giving the tour. His response was to turn my radio up. I explained it was maxed out. Then we went to the halfway point and I told the National Parks Service gentleman speaking. Still on the return trip, I only caught bits and pieces. When we finished, I told the person who checked us in. She simply said, I will have to find your radio. It wasn't only my radio, my husband couldn't hear anything either. It was not about us enjoying the trip, they had been paid and didn't care that we didn't get our money's worth.Written August 18, 2024
- Jenifer510 contributionsI feel sorry for the people who don't get this tour!Wonderful experience! I wouldn't want to see the Cliff of Moher (pronounced like "Mohair" for Americans) without a wonderful walk like this. Pat had a nice loud voice and struck a brisk tone for the walk. Sometimes he didn't gather everyone carefully before saying something, but he is not a professional guide. He did a great job telling us about the land and his home and life there. I felt sorry for the people who just drove up and saw the area without a guide. So much better!Written August 16, 2024
- Wallerpenj0 contributionsAbsolutely perfect!Fantastic trip- highly recommend! Patrick and family were engaging, informative and entertained us throughout. Don’t miss this gem!Written July 24, 2024
- Susanssl0 contributionsAmazing ExperieceWe loved watching this incredibly smart and hard working dog do what he loves. The teamwork between the man calling directions and the dog was amazing to watch. And then our first sheep shearing. We really enjoyed our time here and all the information we learned!Written July 21, 2024
- Paul C0 contributionsA cruise on Lough Corrib is essential when visiting the area!We really enjoyed the cruise and the commentary from Patrick. He was so knowledgeable about the area and its history. We bought a copy of the book that he wrote and this was a great souvenir and source of more information about the Lough and local people. We chatted to Patrick after the cruise and discovered that the boat was originally from Paignton in Devon, close to where we live!Written July 10, 2024
- MarjorieL4160 contributionsMost impactful encounter of our trip in Ireland and absorbing experience of the Cliffs of Moher imaginablePatrick was fun, experienced, a local lifelong resident, and even took us on some ‘off the beaten path’ places to get the best views of all of the Cliffs of Moher. Granted, we had a 10 out of 10 sunny weather, no wind day. He took advantage of that and took videos/pictures of scenes we may not have noticed…puffins on edges, birds nests, waterfalls out of the cliffs rocks, and videos from sketchy areas we wouldn’t get near. It was not only breathtaking walk, but probably one of the best walks I’ve ever been on, and I’ve been on a lot! Don’t miss this incredible experience! Absolutely the BEST way to experience Doolin and the Cliffs of Moher!Written July 7, 2024
- tylerprock0 contributionsGreat hike for those in decent shape!Pat is a fun character with many stories and interesting facts about the area. He took us on a tremendous 5-mile hike along the edge of the cliffs all the way to the O’Brien Tower and visitors center. We got lucky with the weather and had an incredible day. Well worth it.Written July 5, 2024
- V4363ZEerinw0 contributionsAwesome tourThe worst weather day of our trip, but well worth standing in the rain for-an awesome experience! Fourth generation working sheep farm (no frills)-Rock demonstrated his impressive sheep herding skills, we fed/held baby lambs and watched/participated in shearing. Tom, the owner, was gracious and informative.Written June 24, 2024

- bjcarman0 contributionsExcellent!! Well worth doing!Awesome experience!! The farmer who did the demonstration and the sheep shearing was very nice, funny, and informative. Both the sheepdog demonstration and the shearing demonstration were excellent. And we also got to hold baby lambs and feed them. It was a totally wonderful experience and well worth doing!! Would highly recommend it!!Written May 28, 2024
- F2149HGpaulw0 contributionsCastles, Sheep, Mountains and BonoColleen was awesome. Super informative, great driver, very personable. She had some great family history to incorporate into the tour that I won’t spoil here but really helped us see what life is and was like in county Galway. We took more beautiful photos than you could fill a book with. Very lovely trip. Thanks again Colleen!Written May 26, 2024
