About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Jet415110701660 contributionsSlea Head DriveMy father and I had a wonderful day experiencing Slea Head Drive around the Dingle Peninsula. It was truly an unforgettable experience! We also arranged our airport transportation through the same company, which made everything incredibly convenient. From start to finish, Gillian, was exceptional. She was outgoing, funny, and full of fascinating stories about the area's history. The scenery on the Dingle Peninsula is simply breathtaking. It was also especially meaningful for me as I had the opportunity to revisit the areas I had explored during my study abroad in Dingle nine years ago. Gillian made several stops allowing us plenty of time to take photos and soak in the scenery. It was a joy to share those memories with my dad and show him where I had studied abroad. Gillian's kindness stood out! She was attentive and ensured we were comfortable and happy throughout the tour. Whether it was sharing a laugh or providing insights into the local culture, she made the experience truly special. If you are looking for a memorable adventure in Ireland, I highly recommend! The Dingle Peninsula is a must-see and the excellent service made our trip even more enjoyable.Written October 19, 2024
- margaretlL290VU0 contributionsDingle Guide is a GemI cannot say enough positive things about Gillian, THE Dingle Guide! My adult daughter and I shared three days with her - we took both th e Kilarney Tour and the Shea Head Drive tour, and Gillian provided transport for us from Dingle to the Dublin Airport. Gillian is very knowledgeable about the Dingle Peninsula, both in terms of its history and what goes on there currently. She took our interests into account in adapting each day's stops. She was so accommodating and kind, and lovely company! She is a gem and I highly recommend her tours.Written June 21, 2024
- allyson3500 contributionsAmazing tour! The tour was absolutely wonderful! Gillian was so kind and informative and took us to some of the most beautiful places we’ve ever seen. This tour is a must when you’re in Ireland!Written April 24, 2024

- hansbernardm0 contributionsHighlight of our Ireland TripMy partner and I booked Gillian for a full day tour of the Dingle peninsula. We would give her 10 stars if we could as the day was truly the highlight of our Ireland trip. Gillian picked us up at our Airbnb and her warmth and passion for the history of the Dingle peninsula were immediately apparent. The day flew by fast and yet the pace never felt rushed. Gillian took us to not only the well known highlights but also introduced us to many hidden gems. From start to finish, we never run of conversation topics that ensured the day was lively and rich history of the Dingle Peninsula was brought to life. We would certainly book her again with Gillian as her guide. Thank you Gillian!Written September 17, 2023
- JAIddings0 contributionsCliffs of Moher TourHands down the best part of my Ireland vacation! Gillian is warm, welcoming, and extremely knowledgeable. The Conor Pass was an unexpected highlight of the day with its absolutely breathtaking views. I hope to have the opportunity to book a multi-day tour with Gillian on my next visit to Ireland.Written August 13, 2023
- Maureen B0 contributionsAbsolutely beautiful. Our guide, Jillian, was very knowledgeable and shared information on the history of the areas visited on the drive. The Slea Head Drive is full of spectacularly scenic views.Written June 20, 2023
- Rachel A0 contributions5 days of photographyJust finished 5 brilliant days with Gillian. Gillian made sure we will use the day light to its fullest :), and see as many places and attractions as humanly possible, each day. She adjusted the trip according to my likes and requests. Each and every question was answered in full - so much knowledge of the history people and places we saw. We had great fun talking and laughing during the long days especially since Gillian mad sure I was comfortable. I had an amazing time and was hard to say goodbye.Written May 25, 2023
- Dana H0 contributionsA tour WELL worth your time! What a find! After driving in from Cong, we thought it might be nice to take a break from driving and gain local knowledge on the Slea Head Drive. It was just what we were hoping for. Gillian is knowledgeable, with a great sense of humor. We were able to learn so much more about the Dingle Peninsula than had we just driven ourselves. The perfect blend of history, driving, and picture taking. Thank you, Gillian!Written May 14, 2023
- epodowd0 contributions11 amazing days on a private tour with GillianJust finished an 11-day private tour with Gillian from Dingle Guide - Personal Chauffeur Guided Tours. She picked us up in Dublin in her Mercedes sedan and drove us all over…Kilkenny, Kinsale, Cashel, Skibbereen, Dingle, Killarney, Galway, Doolin, Connemara, Roundstone, Clonmacnoise, Athelone. There is so much that we saw…I could go on and on; it’s hard to think of what we didn’t see! She always asked, even at the last minute, if there was a place we wanted to stop. One time, we saw this roadside cafe and shop, Molly Gallivans (Releagh, County Kerry) and asked her to stop. It was an old homestead run by Molly Gallivan’s grand nephew. We ended up buying a bunch of souvenirs (a jumper (sweater), poucin (Irish moonshine), and a shillelagh. So cool and very authentic. Gillian is kind, knowledgeable about her country, knows the ins and outs of where to eat, shop, see, etc. She was our “boots on the ground.” It was nice that we didn’t have to do the driving, which made it enjoyable to see the countryside and the sites…and those super skinny roads didn’t bother her one bit! The entire 11 days was awesome (“brilliant,”as Gillian says) and I highly recommend that you let her take you around the country. She is a local from Dingle. Give her a call! You won’t regret it! - 319Huskers0 contributionsVery personal. Very flexibleThis was a great way to see the loop. The experience was so much richer than doing it ourselves. Gillian is a great hostess and made this feel very personal. We really appreciated her flexibility in allowing an excursion to Dingle Links.Written September 27, 2022

- Regnillogirl0 contributionsDingle Tour was amazingGillian was such a knowledgeable guide and warm person. She made sure to take us where we wanted to go instead of taking us to all of the standard stops. We were staying in Dingle and did the Ring of Kerry tour with her (in addition to a tour of Slea Head). It was a long-ish drive to the Ring of Kerry, but she filled the time with stories and the history of Ireland. She's very knowledgeable about Ireland's interesting, and sometimes heartbreaking history. And she told the stories in ways that really brought the people to life. I can't imagine navigating those roads and trying to figure out where to stop on the Ring of Kerry on our own. She made it so enjoyable. Gillian was a wonderful tour guide. Our Slea Head tour with Helen was one of the highlights of my family's two week vacation to Ireland. She is warm and welcoming, but also has an encyclopedic knowledge of both Dingle and Ireland generally. We made numerous stops for photos, but also a stop where my wife and daughter got to hold two week old lambs, a visit to the 12th Cent. St. Brendan's church, the Oratory, and a number of other places. Helen was also very accommodating. When we told her that a dear friend (who died a few years ago) was from Dingle she got on the phone with her partner and pinpointed the exact house where our friend grew up and we stoped to see it. It was a special moment and we deeply appreciate Helen making it happen. She is a wonderful guide and a wonderful person.

Gillian was a fantastic tour guide and made our trip to Dingle well worth it. She was incredibly warm, welcoming, knowledgeable and had some great stories about the area, the people and the landscapes. We never would have learned so much about the sights along the Slea Head Drive, or about Dingle itself, without Gillian's insight. We also had plenty of laughs along the way!
The benefits of having a tour guide drive you along the coast cannot be overstated, otherwise you'll be white-knuckle driving and unable to appreciate the landscape and unbeatable views.
Be sure to book a tour with Gillian - you won't regret it!

My husband and I really enjoyed our 4 hr Slea Head tour with Gillian. She was very friendly and knowledgeable and the scenery was great. The weather on the day of our tour was not the best, but she made up for it with her knowledge of the area and told us a lot about the history and archaeology of Dingle. You won’t be disappointed if you book this tour with Gillian.

Though we have driven Slea Head Drive ourselves before, we decided that for both of us to enjoy it, we would go on a private tour. Colm picked us up at our Dingle B&B. He was very informative as well entertaining. He customized the tour since we had already seen some of the sights offered. Stops included Dunquin Pier, Ventry Beach and Kilmalkedar Church, but the highlight was feeding the baby lambs. We saw and learned more than we would have on our own. We highly recommend this tour!

We had a wonderful experience with Gillian. Besides being warm, pleasant and professional, she was a world of local information. Gillian picked us up at our airbnb in a lovely and comfy Mercedes. She took us to beautiful places along Slegh Head and Conner Pass while giving us great details about local history and local culture. Our time with Gillian was one of the highlights of our Ireland vacation.

My daughter and I had driven part of Slea Head Loop in the past but the driver never gets to enjoy the beauty of the drive. We decided to hire a guide so we could both enjoy the beauty of the loop. We found a gem of a tour guide. Gillian is the most warm and engaging, knowledgeable, sweet Irish woman you could want to meet. We spent four hours learning so much more than we could hope for about the area and Ireland history. We made stops along the way and had plenty of time to take pictures and enjoy our surroundings. If you want to take a lovely ride and see the beauty of the loop book a tour with Gillian.

Gillian gave us an amazing tour. She was knowledgeable about Dingle and the areas around Dingle. She told us about the history and we had plenty of stops for beautiful pictures. It was obvious that Gillian had studied different areas of history in Ireland and that she continued her education. She also had some personal anecdotes that added to the charm of the tour. We were so glad to have her driving around some of those narrow, windy roads. We even rode behind a herd of cattle being hustled by a dog for a bit.

A must do when going to Dingle. Roads are narrow so we opted for a driver. Gillian was excellent as our driver and guide. She had so much knowledge about the area which made it even more exciting. I especially liked the bee hive huts, architecture and the views. Breathtaking.

This tour was the highlight of our brief stay in Dingle!
Gillian picked us up at our B&B in a lovely Mercedes sedan and off we went.
There were plenty of opportunities to take photos of the beautiful Dingle peninsula and stops at places of interest such as Glarus Oratory and the beehive huts.
We also had the opportunity to hold baby lambs!
I would highly recommend this tour of the Dingle Peninsula and many thanks to Gillian for a lovely experience!

Hi there! We’re very interested in taking this tour. We’re more interested in seeing and spending time at the natural wonders and vantage points (the Coumeenoole beach and Dun Chaoin Pier). Is there flexibility in the itinerary? Could we remove the stops at Kilmalkedar Church and Riasc and spend more time at the beach/pier?
