I was on a corporate day out. A mix of complete beginners and a few people with some experienced, (I have a day skipper but it was a while ago.) We had an absolutely fantastic time. Despite not great luck with the weather. A big wind blowing up big gusts and waves across the Irish channel. Elwyn was an incredible skipper, and handled some very tough conditions without batting an eyelid and keeping us all calm and settled. He was safe and Michael with him helped do the sails and fetch food from below. He chatted us through everything as we went, and at every opportunity let people have turns on the helm or head up front to enjoy being at the bow. The boat herself was a beauty and had everything you could want, it was beautiful inside and the food throughout was great. Michael was very helpful going below for us when we were sat on deck in the rougher seas. Overall fantastic experience in some very competent hands and a well equipped and maintained boat.

We were travelling from Stranraer to Carrickfergus and had a great time. Elwyn and Michael were fantastic at taking care of us and explaining the intricacies of sailing. We experienced fairly rough weather and the guys were amazing. It was clear that they're masters of the craft and I would highly recommend their services. Their attention to detail whilst accomedating a mixture of experience was excellent. We had two members who had never sailed before and we left feeling like accomplished because we were given jobs to do and had Elwyn explaining everything he was doing to us.

We found Following Seas online and had a wonderful time! Elwyn was a phenomenal host and the boat was beautiful. Elwyn took us out around the bay and let us take the helm. Easily one of the most fun activities we’ve done while traveling, even in the rain! I would highly recommend this to anyone traveling to Belfast and looking for a thrilling new thing to do. Our group of 3 novice day skippers and 1 dinghy sailor had an amazing weekend trip to Arran, Scotland from Carrickfergus with Elwyn. We were able to get super hands on sailing practice - we had time to explore Lamlash - Elwyn provided regular food to keep us happy! I am happy to recommend trips with "Following Seas"

Very professional and extremely enjoyable sailing experience. As a party of 4 we sailed to Portpatrick for a days sailing, taking in Dinner at the Portpatrick. From the outset of our day we were very impressed with the both Elwyn (skipper) and Emily (crew), with their knowledge and skills along with the warmth fun in the delivered a fantastic experience. Our party were both sailers and non sailers and throughout the day the guys ensured that everyone got a chance to crew or skipper their beautiful boat, Optimism. We got back late which involved a night sail, which in its self was a different experience and one i would recommend as you get to see Belfast Lough from a different perspective.

We had the most amazing day on the water with Emily and Elwyn yesterday. They were so professional, friendly, inviting, informative, and great hostesses. The weather wasn't great at times but they really took great care of us. Our 11 year old was sailing the boat and helping out he was in his element and loved it. At the end of our trip we had pizza and a games which was a great end to a fantastic day out. I would highly recommend following seas for a fun family day out. It was great value for the experience we had. Thanks guys for the wonderful photos too. We will certainly be back with yee for another trip.

We had a great day with Following Seas for our anniversary. The yacht is superb and our hosts, Elwyn and Emily, were very attentive. They allowed us to get involved, if we wanted, and had brilliant knowledge pointing out the local sights and landmarks. This is a really unique experience - thoroughly recommend it.

We had an amazing day out in the sea with an amazing family who owns the business. They are so experienced and professional so we had just to relax and enjoy our trip. Now we have a dream to cross The Atlantic and do the trip around all Ireland . We definitely will be back again to meet this amazing people . Highly recommend

Great evening sail in Belfast Lough. Started off with coffee and a little orientation about the yacht. Then on return tea and a chat. Super yacht so comfortable and well prepared. All round superb experience.
