- alexandra m0 contributionsAmazing Experience tasting wine in Le MarcheWe had a wonderful experience with Olimpia at the Antica Cantina Sant'Amico. Even though I had booked through Viator, I reached out directly through the cantina's website to reschedule our tour. Olimpia replied immediately and was very accommodating. My family and I had a thorough tour of the winery, learning much about the history of the winery. As we were in the wine cellar, local families came through to fill up jugs of wine to take home. We really got the feeling that the cantina is a centerpiece of life in this area and not just built up for tourists passing through. After the tour we enjoyed a generous and relaxing tasting in the field in between vines and the cellar. First rose, followed by a Verdicchio, and culminating in the Lacrima. The wines were delicious and we each had a large serving of charcuterie, olives, and bread to taste along with the wine. It was one of the best wine tastings I have ever experienced: we brought several wines back to our AirBnB and sent a case back to the US.Written June 6, 2018
- Jaklynba0 contributionsWINE ENTHUSUAST: a MUST DO if visiting Le MarcheThis was a wonderful visit to an old winery. We were well received, enjoyed the tour and tasting provided with a great selection of local wines. Definitely a must visit if you're in the area.Written August 28, 2017
- Mathias J0 contributionsSuperb wine and locationThird time we been visiting. Always very friendly hosts and amazing historic surroundings. Wine tasting below the fields is a must. Will definitely return again.. Also to to refill our Lacrima stock..Written August 27, 2017
- filippo m0 contributionsPoor quality serviceVery very fast and hasty description of the cellar. Just few words about their wines which however were good. 15€ each for the tasting with is too much, given that they served us cask wine (they gave us also some bread with oil and sliced meats). It would be cheaper to buy directly the bottles at the shop and taste them in the garden 😣. Not recommendedWritten August 20, 2017
- mike b0 contributionsJust the BEST vineyardWhere to start! This is my third visit and it is always wonderful. Great wines, lovely people, great hospitality - even though this time they were setting up for a wedding. We arranged the visit as an excursion as part of a Morris dancing trip in the area. Didnt regret a minute of the drive. Thank you all. Just so sorry I couldnt really bring back any wine this time :-(Written October 18, 2016
- samcat0 contributionsGreat alternative to port of Ancona! Our ship stopped in the port of Ancona in Sept. 2016 and I knew in advance that there was little to see there. So I arranged for someone from the winery to pick us up and take us there. It's 45 min. from the port and the driver said even taxis sometimes get lost en route. I believe it! Olympia and everyone else was so warm and welcoming. In our wine tasting in the U.S. we have had "small" pours; Antica was generous, to put it mildly, in the amount we could have sampled. We also had the chance to taste some wine straight from the barrel vs. the same after bottling. The tour of the estate, which I was iffy about beforehand, was extremely interesting. All in all, a special visit and one I'd highly recommend.Written October 8, 2016
- Shellene110 contributionsWine Tasting and tour with English speaking 4th generation wine makersSuch a fun day! Take some time to visit this family operated vineyard outside of Ancona Italy. The family has been making wine and operating the vineyard for four generations. Olympia and her very kind mother personally attended to our small group. Providing us with a tour of the wine casts and explaining how wine making has changed over time but still produces very aromatic and tasty wines. They prepared meat and cheese plates, bread and brought out four different wines for us to taste. They are patient and kind with novice, no rushing and they were willing to explain each wine in terms we understood. I think the best part was tasting the wine in the wine cellar, lit by candles because the electricity was not working the day we visited. Beautiful views of the coast and surrounding area. As we were leaving they shared they do have a stable house that has been converted to B and B.....I will have to return and stay at least one night on my next trip to Italy. The area is so relaxing and we were offered an opportunity to hike around but decided to stick close to the wine cellar due to the heat. Be sure to ask to taste the cherry infused wine!! They will ship and prepare wine to travel home in your suitcase....Again another time since I am at the beginning of my trip. Viva Olympia and Mommy!Written July 4, 2016
- SUNMAN20150 contributionsExcellent wines; generous pours; friendly service! We visited Antica Cantina Sant'Amico in June. It was a sublime experience! The very friendly owner spent a considerable amount of time explaining the wines. This is one of the few places you can drink Lacrima wine-- there is a tiny part of the world that grows this grape. And it is DELICIOUS wine! So is their verdicchio and everything else. Their olive oil is also stunningly wonderful. An amazing fact is that the place is almost fully run by women!! We bought several cases of wine and grappa. Can't wait to Italy and visit Antica Cantina again!Written August 5, 2015
- FIMLH0 contributionsAmazing WineMy wife and I just visited Antica Cantina Sant'Amico for the third time in 3 years and it's better every time we return. In my opinion they have the best wine in the region, specifically their Lacrima! The property is also very beautiful and I'm sure it would be very nice for events, although we were there for the wine. The owners are always so welcoming, and very knowledgeable about the area and their wines. Antica Cantina is definitely worth a visit!Written October 21, 2013

s you can see, it has taken me a while to process my review. My daughter got married at Antica Cantina Sant Amico 6 months ago. It was the most beautiful wedding that I could have ever imagined. Our planning for this wedding started with an email to Olimpia in September 2021. For 2 years Olimpia and I nailed out the details for my daughter's wedding. Besides providing the ceremony and reception, Olimpia also provided the photographer, DJ, florist, wedding cake and transportation. Olimpia provided the wine cellar as a ceremony space and officiated the ceremony herself. The wine cellar was turned into an ethereal and magical setting. Her officiating was perfection. The cocktail hour was out of this world. Olimpia provided a prosciutto station with a gentleman who sliced prosciutto per order which everyone exclaimed was delicious. The wine and cocktails were always flowing. Next, Olimpia provided a bespoke course of passatelli soup. Then, there was a delicious course of ravioli which mimicked the Italian flag. 6 months later my guests still talk about the ravioli. We then proceeded with a scrumptious dinner of chicken and beef, potatoes and vegetables which was perfect. Last but not least we had a beautifully decorated tiramisu wedding cake and a divine dessert course. We ended the night with coffee and cordial sad to have to leave one of the most magical nights of our lives. The DJ kept us moving and the photographer could have been employed by Italian Vogue. The flowers were breathtaking and the arrangements were stunning which made for an ultra romantic atmosphere. Words cannot express our appreciation for Olimpia and her crew. Planning a wedding from another country required me to have blind faith in Olimpia. She over delivered. Many guests said that it was the best wedding they have ever attended. Please do not hesitate to book a wedding at Antica Cantina Sant Amico.

Marcus, Mary, Evelene, and Carrie came as a group of friends who are visiting Falconara Marittima on a mission to share the Gospel and share about God's great healing power. We have each fallen in love with Italy especially the people of Italy! This amazing vineyard and its owner Maria Christina was absolutely one of the highlights of our time here. The gift of hospitality, and the fantastic, stewardship of the land was quite a sight to behold. The history of the vineyard and how it's been passed now to the 4th generation was a beautiful story to hear. One of the lovely employees Catia said she loved working there and felt like part of the family. The wines and treats to go with them were fabulous! Each of us would highly recommend visiting this place!

Visit booked at 5.30pm, but started at 6.20pm, there was only one person "dedicated" to the visit and who also followed the sales, so he left us alone between one sale and another.
The wines he let us taste were opened and closed only with a cork, not with a vacuum.
I was thinking of a "fermino" with red wine, but nothing like that....
The oil was very good, much more than the wines...

We often go to Antica Cantina with friends and family, especially when they come to visit from the US. It's always a lovely experience and you can't beat the charme of this beautiful cantina, one of the oldest in the Marche!

A charming family owned winery nestled in beautiful hills. Because of its small size, and picturesque location, I found this tour to be very personal and charming. The wine tasting at the end was very good and not limited.

Went on this tour as part of our cruise ship hoilday.
Only bad points were that they were not disabled frendly and the was only one toilet.
The wine celler was very cramped with two coachs full of passenger.
Staff really frendly and no hard sell of there product.

Hi Paul, thank you for taking the time to leave feedback. Happy you enjoyed the tour enough for leaving a 4 star rating. We would have also liked to hear what you enjoyed as that is also important to any customers considering a future visit, but take your feedback on board. We will look into improving disabled access, but do have disabled ramps. However, we weren`t supplied any information prior to the visit to prepare in advance, so did our best to accomodate this requirement under the circumstances. That said please remember you were visiting a historic wine cellar dating back to 1850. This is a protected heritage building designed purposefully for wine production. With regards to being cramped, possibly you might be referring to your entrance arrival point?Outside of this initial area, your tour numbers were well under the maximum capacity for the venue, and to that extend all of your group were infact provided with seating inside the main wine cellar area for the tastings. As part of the visit you were also provided with a full tour not only of the oldest winecellar in Le Marche Region, but also provided with an extra tour of our private historic woodland park wilst weather permitted. Also thank you for appreciating our relaxed sales approach. We hope that our clients appreciate the additional time we allocate in providing this service and leave the purchasing decision down to each customer. Please note that we often perform larger events at our winecellar including previous coach tours and general wine events, but will take on your comment about the toilet. That said, we were expecting that your previous tour stops would also allocate time to use other toilet facilities to at least alleviate some of the demand, so that use could be spread out between the cellar tour/park tour, tastings etc which has worked well up until this point. We hope you enjoyed the rest of your cruise and hope you do stop by again if you are ever revisiting the area. Thanks again. Kind Regards
