I took a 20 hrs Spanish immersion course with Alejandra and I liked it sooo much! Before I had spent 2 weeks in a Spanish school in Medellín and I really needed the time with Alejandra from Hablea to build upon what I had learned in Medellin, because I could not really make use of the grammar that I had learned.
So in the beginning she asked me what I wanted to learn and we focused on the pasados and the subjuntivo. The clases were a lot of fun, each day held at a different café and Alejandra told me a lot about Colombia and the region. Furthermore she helped to set me up with tours and activities. The daily 4 hours just flew buy.
I can highly recommend working with such a professional, interesting and interested teacher. For me it was a swell time and I profited immensely from my course in jardin. ❤️🤓🇨🇴 Gracias Alejandra!

I was wanting to continue taking language classes but was tired of being in the big cities. I started searching online for language schools in some of the more popular tourist pueblos and I'm so glad I found Hablea.
Hablea is a woman-owned small business started by a native Colombian who is also fluent in English and French and has studied, lived and traveled all over the world. She is hands down the best Spanish teacher I have had since I started taking language classes in Colombia. Alejandra doesn't just assess your language skills and throw you into a group - because her business is small she designs and tailor's a custom program for each of her students based on where you're at in your current language skills, how much time you have, and what you're hoping to achieve. She arranged for me to meet with locals to practice speaking and listening to different people with different speaking patterns, which is incredibly helpful when you want to improve your ability to understand native speakers.
She also served as a local culture ambassador, sending me links for events taking place in Jardin, and inviting me on little excursions to gain more exposure to the language in different contexts. She was also happy to help me if there was anything I needed in town. I got sick with a bad stomach bug my second week in town and unfortunately had to cancel my classes with her that week. She was completely understanding of the situation and even sent me links to pharmacies in town and offered to help if I needed anything or wanted help getting medicine. She's also a wonderful, interesting person to spend time with. I am hoping to continue lessons with her later this month. Highly recommend.

What differentiates Hablea from most other offers in Colombia is the individual experience in Jardin's tranquility far away from numerous groupoffers connected to hostels ..in big backpacker destinations.
After 3 weeks of classes I am able to get more than along in Spanish for my long trip in Latin America with very little prior language skills. I took classes mostly with Paula but also Alejandra and was amazed by the quality and individuality of the classes. Fully customized, also in different spots in Jardin, very interactive.They also constantly helped me getting to know Jardin, the people and culture, events, things to do. In the meantime I had great fun, did quite some homework and drank a lot of coffee. Jardin itself is a lovely place, lush green vegetation amazing hikes, peacful, loads of great coffee, super friendly atmosphere and people.. the perfect little paradise that was quite hard to leave behind :)

I enjoyed some private courses with Alejandra in Jardin. The courses were flexible and we could review whatever I wanted. She also provided other useful information about Jardin. Really enjoyed it and it made me stay in Jardin for a week. Muchas gracias Alejandra!

My partner and I took a week of Spanish lessons with Alejandra at Hablea and it was AMAZING! Each lesson with her she took us to a new place in Jardín, which was so helpful when you are travelling. After our week of lessons we finished off with a coffee tour at a local coffee farm. It was the best coffee tour I have taken. The family was friendly and knowledgeable. We were able to practice our Spanish by introducing ourselves to the coffee farmers. We are still in contact with Alejandra and she is so very helpful with everything and anything. If you are looking to learn or improve your Spanish or take a coffee tour I would highly recommend Hablea.

Hablea is a really nice place to learn Spanish and discover Jardin. I didn´t take any Spanish classes but my american girlfriend did it and I must say she definitely loved it. Alejandra (the owner of hablea) gave us some tours in the tours and helped us to get involved in the local life.
