Seoul Land, which has Korea's first title, has established itself as Korea's representative theme park upon its opening. Located about 30 minutes from Seoul Station and Myeongdong Station, it has the advantage of convenient transportation, and it is widely loved as a representative tourist destination in Korea as it has Seoul Grand Park's animal-botanical garden, forest bath, and National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art. Unlike other theme parks packed with attractions at every corner, Seoul Land has a lot of space offering you the perfect getaway with a mixture of fun and relaxing time at the park.

    Trouble with tickets
Had a little trouble getting the tickets. We did not receive them via email as was indicated on Trip Advisor. Had to call the vendor when we got to the park. Took several phone calls because they did not speak English. Eventually, we got in the park but it required getting the vendor on the phone with someone from the park. How about just email the tickets to make it less painful for everyone? Park was ok. Went for the two main roller coasters but one of them was closed for repairs. Oh well.

    Great fun for kids
We purchased tickets from AirAsia which was much cheaper than from the counter. We took the train from Seouyong and at least 12 stops to Seoulland. From the train station you need to walk at least 10 minutes to buy a train ticket to the park..it was really cold to walk to the park at least another 15 minutes. We need to exchange our online tickets at the information centre. All rides allowed 120cm child to play without parents. Our daughter really loves the Tobot and Larva characters rides. If you can't stand the cold, an indoor play area for kids to play and lots of indoor 4D shows and magic shows. The trick room really makes us dizzy. Lots of fast food eateries and even sledge rides during winter which was great. The last train ride from the park to the train station was at 6.30pm. We missed it because we were waiting for the led lights shows and fireworks. Luckily we took a 7.00 pm bus to the train station. So please planned your day..the park opens at 10.00 am to 8.00 pm however the last bus is around 7.30 pm. So if you are travelling with small children..Seoulland is definitely a must try in Seoul.

We visited the theme park and zoo on the combined ticket. We went to the theme park first and spent about 3.5 hours there.

The theme park is relatively small but has some fun rides and pleasant areas. It was quite busy with school trips the day we visited but most queues were fairly short. It’s worth noting that quite a lot of rides were closed all day, including the drop tower and one of the two large roller coasters. The rides which did have queues, moved at a decent speed and the staff seemed to be working hard to get the queues moving.

We went across to the zoo, at 4:30pm, knowing that its closing time was 7:00pm. However what they don’t advertise on the website is that nearly all the animals get put away at 5:00. The lady did not tell us this when she scanned our tickets, yet nearly all of the enclosures were empty as the animals had been put away.

There were lots of other people walking around the park looking equally confused as to why all the enclosures had taken away their animals. This really ought to be properly advertised. The catering units were still open, but why keep everything running since the animals (the main thing that people visit a zoo for) were all put away?

What was more frustrating is that the zoo is on a hill which involved a lot of walking and lots of tired feet, only to end up seeing mostly empty enclosures.
