      Unpleasant experience on a Saturday
Overcrowded, oppressing - visited on a Saturday with pre-booked timing. Aquarium is one way, very narrow, crowded. No wardrobe and strollers are forbidden so you end up carrying everything all the way. Unfortunately unpleasant experience.

      Excellent Aquarium attraction
We went to visit the Sea Life Aquarium with 2 young Children. They enjoyed the visit, the path through the different attraction is easy and well organised. You can let you children go, completely safe and they discover fishes and sea life across the visit.

Only really interesting up to 4 years - ocerpriced
If you have a 2 year old it is nice, but for bigger kids or adults there is not much to see. My husband and I went through in less than 30min and were truly disappointed. Positive is that it was clean and fish looked to be well looked after

      Nice day out with family
We originally had a poor experience (see review of August 2019), but customer service resolved this to our satisfaction. We returned on a rainy day and it was a nice morning with the children. There is a lot of different sea life for them to see. There was an interactive exhibit on helping sea turtles that our 3 year old spent the whole time at and didn't want to visit anything else. The central tank is very impressive. It's an expensive day out, so it's advisable to get a voucher (there are plenty to be found) and pay careful attention to the T&Cs: tickets purchased online don't qualify for any of the discounts.

      Small and very busy
Aquarium was pretty small and very crowded when I visited, on a Tuesday afternoon; there are much better aquaria around, would be ok for taking kids on a rainy day if other options were not applicable.

      Aquariums need some maintenance
The walkways are narrow and with families who require a baby buggy, you can come upon a bottleneck. I also think that the tanks are too small for the fish kept in them. BUt the staff is friendly and supportive where required.

Sea Life in the middle of Europe
It is a fascinating place for children. The building is located just behind the railway station at the old harbor and it is easy to get there. It is a small museum but the giant aquarium in the middle is the highlight of the visit. We were fascinated by the green sea turtles, stingrays and sharks. As we came from Switzerland we bought train tickets combined with the entrance ticket of this museum in advance.

      Majestic Giant Green Sea Turtles
      Konstanz is famous for its preserved medieval Niederburg district, the famous Bodensee-Therme and the island of Mainau. Sea Life Konstanz is amongst these attractions as more and more visitors are drawn to enjoy the spectacular 320.000 liters eight-meter-long underwater tunnel, 3500 fresh and saltwater fishes and the 35 lifelike pools with thematic areas such as Source of Rhine, Bodensee, Rotterdam, Red Sea, Rainforest and Antarctica (Jackass Penguins!); I was fascinated by the beauty of the giant green sea turtles Amadeus and Clementine elegantly floating over my head; Sea life is contributing to helping endangered species: breeding seahorses and Resettling turtles; Saving Ticket (13,10€ online/ 18,75€ on the spot), Express ticket (only online 18,75€); Nice weather independent trip w/ prices from Zurich: 16,50 CHF one way for 1h15 min - 1h39 min; I went on a cloudy winter Sunday afternoon and I bought the express ticket online; I could have bought the saving ticket as there was no queue at all;

      Wonderful experience
Nice place to learn more about marine wildlife for a good cause. The natural museum is also included in the price and there is also a nice restaurant on the premises. It's a nice option for a day trip

      Interactive section not working
Visited with years old child who was willing to participate in the "rescue the turtle" section but not everything was working properly. Overall the place is ok.

      Best sea life we’ve visited
Not very busy compared to other sea life aquariums we’ve been to. There was a wide range of things to see. The penguins were amazing and it’s definitely worth going at one of their feeding times. The restaurant is also quite good.

      Another Sealife Centre
There is an access ramp and at the top you have to leave strollers. But you come out somewhere completely different. As for the queue, you can pay to jump it, don't it is a waste of money. Buy you tickets online, even waiting in the queue, it saves €3.75 each. The exhibits are good and worth a look. All in all a good 2 to 3 hours.

      Pretty good aquarium
Came here on a visit to Konstanz. This is a pretty good Aquarium, with various fish tanks sorted by habitat, and an exhibit of penguins. A bit small, but enjoyable nonetheless, especially if you have young children. Parking is a bit of an issue as there is way too little parking right at the Aquarium. There is a mall across the train line where we ended up parking. Entrance fee was a bit expensive.

Sorry but this ticket system is horrendous. I need to pay extra just to be flexible because the musuem isn't? The booking system did't work half the time and did not accept my usual credit cards. That way I had to change three times my time slot. Cause everytime I was ready, the booking system wasn't.
The museum was nice, but I definitely not doing this booking nightmare ever again.
My recommondation not going here,or try to chose a different aquarium.

The experience at Sea Life was good, there was not a huge range of fish to be seen, but most were pretty reactive to visitors. Most of the display was also open at the top which was different to say the least from other sea aquariums.

The place itself wasn't all that large and it would take less than half a day to visit the place. It was still an interesting experience and a walk along the Bodensee after the visit could also be tucked into your schedule if you have the time.

    Worth the visit!

Entrance queues were badly organised. No prams or pushchairs allowed inside. The first few basins were completely empty due to renovation. Very full inside despite having to book a time slot online. Some nice attractions eg penguins. No hot food in the cafe

Pro: It's a nice attraction for children and families. On the way we're noticed a lot of activities for children and each room is butterfly arranged and painted. Probably, if you live nearby, it's a good deal to purchase a year ticket.
Cons: The ticket for single entrance is too high for what you get. We've visited a lot of aquariums in Europe and Asia; this one is definitely the last in the list of our preferences...

Dear theiam, Thank you for taking the time to give us feedback on tripadvisor and your recommendation. We are sorry to read that you weren`t fully satisfied with your visit at SEA LIFE Konstanz. You expressed concerns about our prices. SEA LIFE Konstanz is part of a non-public company, the Merlin Entertainments Group. This means that we, unlike e.g. zoos, do not receive any subsidies. Ensuring that our marine creatures have a natural and healthy environment is of course very important to us and this entails high costs. Despite the missing subsidies we offer different discounts to our guests such as online tickets, vouchers or family tickets. In addition to that our tickets are day tickets, which mean you can walk through our center as often as you want and also see some feedings. The Lake of Constance nature museum is also included in our ticket price. We are glad to read that you rate our attraction as family friendly. Please feel free to contact us via e-mail: slc.konstanz@sealife.de, if you have any questions or need additional information. We are looking forward to seeing you again soon. Kind regards, your SEA LIFE Konstanz-Team

The kids loved SeaLife aquarium! The turtle activity was a favourite (shame not all computers were working though) and they also loved the penguins & pot bellied seahorses. They also liked getting the stamps for the booklet

We probably would not have visited Sea Life but we received free vouchers with our tour package. We were very happy we did! There was enough English language posted that we could read song with the exhibits. Also one of the biologists spoke many languages and he seamlessly switched languishes while answering questions. Great place for kids and families as many exhibits featured hands-on components. It was obvious that Sea Life is respectful of animas and their well-being.

We have a voucher for free admission of children with a valid adult ticket. We purchased our tickets online to save time when we arrived, and we were told because we purchased our tickets online the vouchers were not valid (since the tickets were 20% off from the counter price). We were not allowed to pay the difference between the eticket and admission ticket and were told we would have to buy new ticket. When we asked to speak with a manager she laughed at us and said this happened all the time and would not to anything to help us. We were so disappointed.

Hello Matt M, Thank you for taking the time to give us feedback on tripadvisor. We are sorry to read that you weren`t satisfied with your visit at SEA LIFE Konstanz. As you already mentioned it is not possible to combine our reduced online-tickets with a free-kid-promotion. In general, all of our promotions require a full paying adult on site. That information is given on the promotion and also on the online-ticket itself. We are also sorry that your experience was disappointing and you felt not treated right. Due to technical reasons it is not possible for us to refund online-tickets on site, thats why it was not possible to charge you the difference between the online-tickets and a full paying adult on site. We want to offer great experiences to all our visitors, therefore our staff is always willing to help you as best as its possible for them. We would be pleased if you could contact us via email: slc.konstanz@sealife.de and tell us what would make your next visit better or how we could generally improve. Also if you have any questions or need additional information, please feel free to contact us. Kind regards, your SEA LIFE Konstanz-Team
