- PastaGururu0 contributionsTruly unique experience to remember for the rest of our livesMy husband and I spent 2 unforgettable days on the beautiful Zannone 1954 (1-Palmarola, 1-Ponza) It was magical! Claudio really puts his whole heart in what he does and you can see and feel it in every detail: the boat is gorgeous, very clean and taken care for, the precious woods make it look and feel luxurious. The places Claudio showed us were breathtaking, I couldn’t believe my own eyes - it was THAT beautiful. The best part was when he took us to see the “hidden” grottos accessible only by swimming. He swam with us, telling a bunch of interesting facts and making us feel safe. This is one of the main advantages of going on a tour with Claudio: we stopped whenever we wanted and he took us places that most boat tour don’t take you to. The size of Zannone also allowed us to pass in-between rocks which was very cool! And I can’t even begin to tell you how many compliments Zannone 1954 was receiving throughout our tour! People love it and we can’t blame them :) We were very lucky to come on board of this beautiful boat and discover the amazing islands of Ponza and Palmarola with Claudio. I will dearly remember these days for the rest of my life, thank you Claudio Can’t wait to come back!Written July 4, 2020

The second was the picturesque island, Palmarola. Definitely worth every euro. Claudio was so knowledgeable of the islands. He took us to all the different grottos and beaches. You can truly feel his love and passion he has for his boat. Which, I might add is very clean, beautiful and very spacious for large groups of people. Beautiful experience! There were 8 of us girls together for a hen party, Claudio was fantastic, he thought of everything down to the smallest detail, he took us around Palmarola showing us all the most beautiful places and telling us every hidden gem of the island on his magnificent boat historic (the boat alone is worth the experience!) He helped us with the dog, with which he was really great. In short, a great captain! Thanks Claudio!

Oh my goodness....our experience on Zannone was hands down the BEST day I have ever had on a boat. The island of Ponza is breathtaking and best viewed from the sea on this beautifully stored boat. Claudio was so accommodating and fun to spend the day with. He spent many years as a Director of Safety on a ship and we felt very safe and comfortable the entire time. He crafted a tour of the island that was perfect for our crew of six which included adventure and relaxation. We highly recommend booking a day with Claudio!

Claudio made this a truly unbelievable experience. He customized everything to ensure our deepest desires were met. He was full of surprises including snacks and champagne. He never made us feel rushed or like we were a bother by wanting to see something for a longer period of time. He is extremely passionate about Ponza and his love for the island shines through as he tells you about the history of each stop. And the boat, wow - so comfortable with seating and pads to lay out on. It’s like riding around in a Ferrari, but on the sea. If you are unsure about it, don’t be. This is an experience you will never forget!

Returning to the Zannone 1954 is always an enchanting experience. Find this “seventy-year-old” felucca, just renovated in absolute respect of tradition, discover a series of details resulting from the skillful art of artisans that we should define as artists, and be carried away by Claudio, commander in love with his island, competent, attentive, who takes care of customers with class and discretion. Our day with Captain Claudio and his beautiful boat was the best day of our entire trip in Italy! If you want to escape the crowds and the heat, spend the day sailing around Isola Ponza with Claudio. His hospitality, professionalism, and warmth was unparalleled. This was the most exclusive and customizable experience. My family and I spent the day swimming in the pristine water, exploring caves and beaches, cliff jumping and sipping Prosecco. Claudio provided us with a delicious lunch and cold drinks, towels and a relaxed and fun atmosphere. He even made a dinner reservation for us at a beautiful restaurant overlooking the Ponza harbor at the end of our day A perfect excursion with family and friends. Honestly, skip Capri and the Amalfi Coast and go to Isola Ponza and spend your time with Claudio on the Zannone 1954 instead. It’s worth it and it will be the best day of your trip!

What an amazing day on the water. If you are looking for a great way to see the island of Ponza, this is it. The day exceeded our expectations by far. Because it was just my family we were able to stop when we wanted to stop, eat when we wanted to eat, move to the next stop when we wanted to, etc. In sum, we decided how to spend the day in an extremely beautiful place. We also decided to add on meat, cheese, pizza, wine, Prosecco and fruit. I highly recommend this. It allowed us to stay on the boat all day and really relax. It’s hard to convey how beautiful the island is from the water and how much this day exceeded our expectations. It truly is a day catered to your desires and wants. I highly recommend it. It’s a once in a lifetime type of day.

Claudio's customer service is beyond exceptional. He came through and, despite our last minute reservation, was able to provide us with an unforgettable Journey To The Sea. He was VERY accomodating toward us (we were traveling with two small babies and he helped them to feel more at ease) and he also made sure that the rest of the family had fun while diving into the water. Although we had an unexpected guest arrive during our outing (a jellyfish came that scared us a bit), Claudio and the family had a nice laugh over it, and he soon got us back to the shore safely. Thanks to our great experience and Claudio's overall amazing customer service, we were able to have an amazing boat ride! We now consider Claudio a friend of ours, and we will definitely return to Claudio in the near future for when we return to Italy once again.
