About
Roberto knows his pigs one by one; they are raised in a semi-wild state, with carefully selected feed and cereals grown in the Tuscan countryside. The experience is as rural as it is unforgettable; after a walk through the vineyards and the olive grove, you will have the opportunity to interact with "Ciro", the domestic pig, and to meet all his company of Cinta Senese pigs having fun in the mud. after meeting these cute animals (and maybe even taking some selfies with them), it will be time to delight your palate with a tasting platter of Cinta Senese cured meats or a quick lunch based on agricultural products, perhaps collected directly in the garden from you.

Terrific experience for the entire family! We loved it.
Excellent Vist to Roberto's Fattoria! Seeing the beautiful Cinta Senese pigs was wonderful. Wonderful family and delicious locally sourced farm to table dining experience. We had a great time.

      Unforgettable experience
This is hands down one of the best tours I’ve ever experienced. A dream come TRUE I was in tears. The horse riding was honestly a dream come true. You ride for about an hour all around the mountain and look down on the extraordinary Tuscan views, greenery, go through vineyards and olive trees and you are well looked after with experienced horse riders and farmers. Amazing scenic views and peace. After the horse ride , you then meet Roberto and he shows you around his beautiful farm and pigs which was so much fun they were so beautiful and cute. You then sit at his farmhouse and have a huge lunch. It includes his aged meats , cheeses, salads , bruschetta all home made and grown on his farm including the meats, and ofcourse his homemade wine that tasted like heaven. While eating you are also looking down a breathtaking view of Tuscan hills , mountains and his farm. After all these activities and food, you get to lay down and relax on sunbeds! This tour is 10/10 I recommend it to EVERYONE!!!! The photos do not do it justice I have thousands of videos to but it won’t let me upload

      Authentic and unique experience. Must-do!
This place is as good as it gets! Outside of the fresh food and great wine, Roberto is a warm and knowledgable host who provided us with a great experience. We got a personal tour of the farm where we learned all about how he makes wine, olive oil, and raises his pigs. Very unique and memorable visit with the best cold cuts we had all trip! Highly recommend!

      a true Tuscan experience
The manager at our villa recommended we visit this farm. We are a family of five and looking to immerse in the local culture. We found it here. This is not a commercial, scripted (well, sort of not scripted; Roberto, the farmer, did read from notes but only to help with his English) experience. There was no fee to visit; only to sample or buy the meats and any other products or wine from his small shop. Roberto has been offering guided tours only as of recently. Roberto introduced us to his black pigs who are raised for locally produced prosciutto, salami, etc. The farm raises the pigs but does not process the meats so this is a peaceful and positive experience; not a slaughterhouse. In fact, his affection for the mother and father pigs was apparent. Roberto walked us through the family olive orchard, showed us their small family cantine where they make their own wine for personal consumption. We then relaxed in a shed where he served us portions of the meats with a bottle of wine (water and soda were also available). You don't visit here just to check the box of a new place to visit. And you don't wear your favorite new shoes or pants. We were given booties to cover our shoes because we did walk through mud. I rated this five stars not because it is a polished, professional tour experience; it's not. I rated it five stars because I can't imagine a more authentic, genuine look into a small, Tuscan farm with a wonderfully kind-hearted host. His passion for what he does and how they do it was evident. And, as with every place in Montepulciano, the views are breathtaking.

Personal experience. Beautiful farm. Roberto has his own plum trees for jam, they have vines to small batches of wine, and of course we met his special pigs and learned a lot their history in Tuscany :)

We had more types of pork than I can remember… prosciutto, capicola, sausage, lard, rolled bacon. Very delicious. Served with generous portions of their home made wine.

Roberto gave us a great tour, was very welcoming, texted us to make sure we could find his farm, and let us stay for much longer than the scheduled time.

Definitely recommend as a nice, fun break from the wine cellars to round out your Montepulciano trip.

    Thank you Roberto!!

We were met by Roberto, the owner and he gave us a quick tour of his lovely traditional farm. It is not a large farm but he has olives, white and red grape vines and a small vegetable garden. The main focus was the pigs but all his wine and oil is produced for his own use and for the tours. We met the pigs and saw the young ones running around. They are very happy pigs. Then we had a tasting lunch with Tuscan bread, pate, all the varieties of pig based products he produces on the farm, they were delicious! This was accompanied by his wine, oil and his own cooking skills. A lovely way to spend a lunchtime in Tuscany.

So so good! Roberto is wonderful and generous with his time and his food and wine! Great to get out into the country - about a 40-minute walk from the main part of town in Montepulciano, but stunning views walking through farms and vineyards to get there. Loved meeting the pigs and learning about the Tuscan ways of farming, and the “light lunch” with wine was delicious and filling. Can’t recommend highly enough.

What a treat! We have been enjoying prosciutto in Tuscany but being able to go the farm, experience the animals, see how it is all done, was such a beautiful experience! Roberto treated us with kindness and patience, fielding the gap with my lack of the Italian language. The best part was the tasting. I have a new appreciation for this timeless art. Grazie Mille!

My 2 sons in universities needed an break during Easter holiday so we opted to stay in one of those dainty towns in Val d'Orcia, region of Tuscany, Montepulciano. And as I did not drink wine, I suggested to visit this tour of a pig farm with good reviews.
It turned out a very interesting and uncommon tour for us as we don't have professional tours of pig farms in our country.
Roberto, the owner, greeted us from the start and explained about his olive plantation and pig farm. Ciro, the star of the farm, had retired and was so cute lazily sleeping in his comfortable muddy spot.
The lunch was a traditional, delicious yet simple one, with products of the Cinta Senese pigs of his farm, a special type of pig from this region, as well as some other by products. And Roberto was always thorough in explaining about everything going on.
Definitely a must go when in the area Montepulciano!
Thank you, Roberto and Cinta Senese farm.

We had the most memorable evening with Roberto. The food was delicious as was the wine! We purchased pig t-shirts which we still wear now with the lovely Cheero on them. Roberto went above and beyond to make our visit special. We hope to return one day!

Our farm tour and tasting lunch were a highlight of our Italian adventure. Roberto was a wonderful host. He explained the process of raising pigs and curing the meats as well as growing and producing wine and olive oil. He answered all our questions and let us meet Ciro, Gino, Runt and his mama pigs. His meats and wine were absolutely delicious as was his wife's traditional Tuscan soup. Now we're huge Facebook fans. Don't miss this delightful opportunity.

The owner was so welcoming. Heart-warming to see a farm where the animals are loved. The lunch was wonderful and abundant. We had another activity planned which fell through so went on this activity at the last minute: it turned out to be a blessing. Gary showed us a shortcut walk back to Montepulciano and that turned out to be a delight too. We felt like locals walking the back road

We had a wonderful afternoon visiting and getting to know Roberto and his farm. You can see the care of the farm and the animals. Of course, there is also a tasting and you then understand what respect for the land the the animals means for the final produce. This is worth a visit, get in the mud and feed the pigs - you don’t want to miss that. 😊

I fantastic visit to the farm. The animals are very well fed & fun to see. There were. Some piglets that were only 2 weeks old that acted like little puppies. We had an amazing meal outside & afterwards visited the market.
