      terrible service
My husband and I took a tour yesterday with Sesto Continente to Mt. Vesuvius. The driver was on time, polite and drove like an army pilot, but the car was a real relic (made in 1970s). The engine and brakes were working, but the rest of the car was lacking air bags, seat belts in the back, ceiling and side insulation/linings. This car shouldn't be used by passengers/tourists without their consent. It's a total shame, disgrace, and humiliation. When by Vesuvius, we were rushed to run up & down from great Vesuvius. Had NO time to absorb its greatness. And, to add to our disappointment and discomfort, the other couple who were travelling in the same car, was taken to Naples AIRPORT (in the opposite direction) without our consent and against our protests. We were greatly disappointed, unwillingly traveled on that dilapidated, unkept extremely old car, feared for our safety. We were on the road from 1:20 pm to 5:40 pm without any time for a snack, drink or toilet break.

      awful experience
It was a terrible tour/transfer. 1. the minivan was extremely old (made in 70s) and obviously in a very bad shape. 2. On the way back the driver went first all the way to the Naples airport to drop off 2 other tourists, which was a very long drive in the opposite direction. 3. It was supposed to be a 3.5 hours tour, but we were given too little time to enjoy the volcano while most of the time was spent in that ridiculously old car.

      Unforgettable Day
My husband and I did this tour and had a wonderful day. We were picked up from our airbnb location and was then driven to Pompeii with another couple who were in the van. We were met by our tour guide at 9:30am who gave us a wonderful tour of Pompeii. We then met up with our driver again at 1:00pm and headed off to Mount Vesuvius. There was an additional male on the bus who lead us on a walk to near the top of Mount Vesuvius where we met with a tour guide who explained the history of the volcano which was very interesting and then we walked the remaining distance to the top of Mount Vesuvius. The views are stunning. We then walked back down to meet up with our driver at 3:30pm who took us back to our accommodations. Great day for a great cost.

Great example of a Roman luxury villa.
The Villa Ariana is well worth visiting. The villa escaped the Vesuvius destruction. The plan is quite unusual but ambitious.

Best way to experience the Amalfi coast in a day
This is a great experience! Mario picked us up from our accomodation and provided excellent guidance not only for this trip, but for other things to enjoy in the area (thank you Mario!). The trip is just the best way to experience the coast in a day, perfect with the kids, as they did not get tired, and we avoided all the traffic. The stop at Positano is quite short, so plan it well.

AVOID THE CAPRI TRIP AT ALL COSTS
Booked a tour to Capri with Sesto and couldn’t quite believe how distinctly amateurish the whole tour(day) turned out. We were promised a cruise with appetisers and aperitifs (“ on all our boats there is a service on board”). On the day a dozen of us turned up and our initial excitement was somewhat confused when we were split into two groups of six (how big was the vessel?). We then proceeded to the quayside where the ‘skipper’, who spoke only Italian, was given €50 by the ‘tour organiser’ to fuel up the, hastily rented, speedboat. We sailed to the fuel berth and had to wait whilst a pump operator arrived. €40 of fuel later (€10 into the back pocket) and we were on our way to Capri. The boat comfortably sat 4 of us, so the squeeze, on a very choppy crossing (well over an hour), was unwelcome. Not as unwelcome as the absolute soaking we all received. Think drenched to the underwear. Saturated. Salty. Miserable. The ‘buffet’ consisted of packets of Doritos, Lager & Pepsi, ‘served’ from a plastic bag. On arrival off the coast of Capri (a tour of the caves was included), we were still taking lumps of water onboard (trust me it IS a nautical term). Our skipper gestured for us to get slip overboard should any of us particularly fancy it. ‘No thanks mate, there’s enough water already in the boat’, was the consensus. On hour later, sitting in a lovely cafe in Marina Grande (Capri) eating a pizza, it was hard not to notice the pool of salt water that the testicles were now resting in. The trip back was so eagerly anticipated that we’d looked at booking a ferry (a helicopter even?) between us. When the Vesuvius Verstappen insisted on blasting out his own favourite tune (not tunes, you understand….hell no) on a very short loop (20 seconds, then repeat) on the way home; we considered mutiny or abandoning ship. In short; a huge disappointment, a complete rip-off and potentially a life-threatening experience. I’ve yet to see a life jacket. Avoid this particular excursion at all costs. It was the last of the three we booked (the other two I’ll review, certainly more positively, later).

      Visit Capri
It was all good, we just had to wait like 20 min when we came back from Capri, but the girl was very good all the time. Good feed back.

Ropey old banger, rather than vintage classic 😂
I only booked this trip as it was a 'standalone' visit to Vesuvius, rather than the usual Pompeii/Vesuvius combo. That would have been too much in one day and with a 14 year old in our family. We got the train to the tour operator's office and, rather than the vintage van promised, had an old battered Iveco minibus as our transport 😂😂. It was only us onboard and was fine. Our driver didn't speak English, but was friendly and played us an English language tour CD as we approached the site 🤣😂. Dropped us off at a Vesuvius and picked us up afterwards, on time. We wandered around on our own and utilised the guide on site for some background info. We could have stopped at the local Limoncello place en route, but didn't want to. It wouldn't be for everyone, but suited our purpose.

Worse boat tour of my life
Worse boat tour of my life. If I could I would of given -1 for this Capri tour. I’ve been to many boat tours in many countries: France, Croatia, Egypt, Thailand and so on, but NEVER had such bad and unsafe experience. I was really looking forward for this tour as well, but was extremely disappointed and feel like it was a waste of my and my partners day. 1. no time understanding, everything was late and not organised. Boat was cleaned on our arrival (first red flag) 2. 12 people on a small boat (including captain) which was not maintained at all, with the most filthiest toilet I’ve ever seen 3. No safety introduction, any introduction, captan did not speak any English and no life jackets 4. Plan did not follow through, due to all delays 40 min less on Capri and no Sorrento walk 5. No guide to tell us anything during our tour or guide us 6. No food on a full day trip 1. we waited 30 min for our bus driver who had empty bus and when I was calling the organisers I was told “people are late”. it took us 2 hours to get to the port, when we said to the organisers let us come on our own car, but they said no to us. When we arrived at the port there was a lot of confusion where to go, after we found the boat it was getting cleaned during our boarding 2. Our boat capacity was around 5-8 people max, we had 12 people including captain. It was going very slow and sound was not right ( my partner has boat licence and he knows a lot about boats so this is legit information). Boat was dirty with a lot of damage. Toilet looked worse than in India’s train station and we could not use it, no flash ether. 3. When we got on a boat the organiser took a picture of us and didn’t tell us anything, no safety instructions, no here is life jackets, no water or telling us where it is. Just “bye have fun”. Our captain did not speak a word of English and we had two people (one was sea sick, other person damaged her food) he couldn’t understand us and couldn’t help. It’s EXTREMELY bad if organisations to put him and us in this dangerous situation. If something terrible would have happened he wouldn’t be able to help as he couldn’t speak English and there was never a tour guide. 4. Due to all delays including waiting 1 hour near capri due to “boat traffic” which is not true boats were going in and out as they had booked their slot. We waited for 60 minutes to get to the island from the “traffic”. Had less time on the island, also no sorrento walk, no one even said sorry or commented on it. 5. Other boats had tour guides who would tell stories, jokers, SPEAK ENGLISH and set the vibe. Our boat had a dead vibe with a half broken radio and no radio on the way back with a captan who couldn’t tell us anything. 6. I’ve never been on a FULL DAY tour with no food. We had ONE bottle of Prosecco or what ever it was for 11 people!!! I didn’t even touch it as it was an insult to offer 50ml of a drink in a dirty cup. We were offered pack of crisps and some soft drinks. After we would go down and get water or soft drink ourselves. After all of that we had to also wait to be picked up from the boat for another 20 minutes. I’m honestly shocked with organisers and this entire experience. Do NOT book with them.

      Had an amazing time !
We had a great time, the hike is fantastic and our guide was lovely Also it's the perfect time of the day, the hike ends around 2pm right when the heat becomes too much :) The hike is a loop but that's not a problem 4/5 because the shuttle does not have seatbelt and it is not a easy ride up ^^'

      Exquisite Boat Tour
The boat ride along the west coast to the Amalfi coast was breathtaking. We enjoyed the views from the upper deck and sat under the shaded roof cover. We met and talked to a variety of great people; it was meant to be :) Glad we boarded at the beginning of the tour as the boat became so full with other tourists boarding in Sorrento. Even though it was hot and extremely crowded with tourists, Positano and Amalfi Coast was exhilarating anfd beautiful, At the end of the tour a cool, Ford vintage shuttle van driven by the owner, Maurizio picked us up and drove us and the other passengers to their hotel. We had the most exciting, a little wild and scary, fun ride back to our hotel.

Save €30+ & book the guided tour & bus tickets directly
This is basically a tourist trap. You can buy an entry ticket for Vesuvius for €11, which includes the guided tour. Further, you can purchase a return ticket on a bus for about €7. So you're paying an extra €30+ for the luxury of the minivan, which doesn't have seat-belts or air-conditioning

      Thoroughly enjoyed our day
We thoroughly enjoyed our half day trip to Mount Vesuvius, with our sons aged 9 and 12. Most other tours combine Vesuvius with Pompei, which we felt was too much for us in one day. We were collected from our hotel in Sorrento at 11.15 and after several pick ups en route, arrived at Mount Vesuvius just after 13.00. We thoroughly enjoyed the walk up to the crater and around the rim. Plenty of places to refuel on drinks and snacks, before rendezvousing with our driver at 15.00 A short pit stop for limoncello tasting - no hard sell - only enhanced the experience. And we were dropped back at our hotel around 16.45 Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a straightforward trip to Vesuvius, esp those with children/teens, who may prefer a single attraction in one day.

Pompeii was very impressive. The guide provided us with a lot of interesting information. He was funny and tried very hard to show and explain a lot to us. The drive to Pompeii was also good. The driver picked us up on time at the meeting point and also picked us up on time afterwards. We were very pleased.

The tour included a guided visit through the city, learning about the city buried as a result of a volcanic eruption that lasted three days. Our visit was in summer of July, it was hot, so walk with water and comfortable shoes.

Booked with the office near the train station, were promised pick up from our hotel. WhatsApp message in the evening saying the bus couldn't get to our hotel (narrow lanes) and giving a new pick up point a short distance away. I checked the link they sent me (this is the simplified version) and confirmed the road name. The link placed us halfway down this road where there was a car parking area so we waited there next morning. After 15 mins I rang the office and got someone who didn't at first seem to know what I was talking about, then told me that the bus was waiting for us at the pickup point I asked where that was and whether we could walk there but he didn't know where we were! Eventually he told us to go back to our hotel and as we walked away a car driver pulled up and told us he was taking us to the bus, now at another hotel. It seems we should have walked on a short distance to the junction with the main road, which no-one had mentioned. Had they phoned me we could have sorted this out but though I had warned them not to use WhatsApp because I can't get data on my phone I found a missed call from them when I got home.
So, got there and were sent off on our tour and were told where and when we were to be picked up. This battered, vintage minibus pulled up. It had the company name on the side and the driver was the one who had picked us up with his car so we and the others got in. No seat belts, the seats slid forward every time he braked, no air-conditioning (but the windows were open) and not much in the way of suspension. It was a very uncomfortable ride BUT, on the plus side, not being worried about his paintwork he took us right to our hotel.
So, they got us there and back but it was not the easy trip we had been promised and company's communications were extremely poor.
We would not use them again.
