Best Trekking Company for Annapurna Base Camp
Wow!! One of the best experiences of my life completing the Annapurna Base Camp Trek with the most amazing tour company Nepal Gateway Trekking! Ram was such a wonderful coordinator and was super quick to help with any questions. Krishna was the most fantastic guide who has incredible knowledge of Nepal and the Himalayas. He went out of his way to make the trip as fun and amazing as possible, I will never forget the incredible memories. As a solo female traveller, Krishna also made me feel very safe and well looked after. 10/10 would recommend Nepal Gateway Trekking!

        Fine experience
We were very well received by Raj. We trekked Annapurna, visited Kathmandu and nearby areas, flew to see Everest, chitwan. Raj made a tailor-made and detailed plan for us and accompanied us in every choice. Thank you for making us know this beautiful country at its best

Annapurna Circuit. Possibly a once in a lifetime trip.
The scenery was fantastic and we couldn't have wished for a better guide. I'd happily trek with them again if I had the opportunity to do so. I have written a narrative for each day we spent in Nepal which would take up many pages and included it with my photo story on Facebook.

        EVEREST BASE CAMP
The experience was unforgettable. Ram and our guide Bhabanath made sure we had the best experience possible to EBC. The sheer care and thoughtfulness while trekking was immaculate and the service and hospitality was outstanding. Even our porter Prem went to Kala Patthar to take photos for us as my mother was a bit sick. Really went out of there way to please us. Thankyou Nepal Gateway Trekking

Unforgettable EBC trek experience with Nepal Gateway Trekking
From the moment I booked with Nepal Gateway Trekking I knew I was in good hands. Ram was always prompt and readily available to communicate with me to answer questions and offer advice. He even would offer his services to help book our trip to Pokhara as well. Our trip was customised to suit our needs with no effort required from my end. All the pick ups drops offs were taken care of with ease. Ram organised a day tour of Kathmandu with our fantastic, friendly and very knowledgeable guide Prem to see all the interesting sights. We met with our amazing guide Bhabanath in Kathmandu who helped us rent some remaining items needed for the trek. Bhabanath has 25 years experience in trekking in Nepal and was a wealth of knowledge sharing information and stories about the mountains and Nepalese culture. He was also a lot of fun and made our trip an unforgettable experience! Bhabanath took extra care to make sure all our needs were met. He even treated us with his fantastic head and neck messages which helped us have a good night rest. Prem our porter was also truly amazing. He carried our heavy load and was always very pleasant and caring. He even took photos from Kala Patthar at sunset for us in the freezing cold when I didn’t have the energy to do so. We could not have wished for a better support team. The tea house accommodation, food options and lunch stops were great. The sights and scenery of the mountains, people, villages along the trail was spectacular. Something different to see every day. We decided to catch a helicopter flight from Gorak Sheo to Lukla which was amazing. The change in plan was dealt with ease. I highly recommend this company that truly cares about you enjoying your trip and your safety.

Nepal Gateway gave me tremendous customer service on a true trip of a lifetime!!
I completed the Everest Base Camp trek in November 2024. The world class customer service began right away as my in-bound flights from the US to Kathmandu were delayed. Ram and his team at Nepal Gateway adjusted their itinerary to accommodate my travel difficulties such that I was able to begin my trek on time. My guide, Nabin, and porter, Dinesh, walked down to meet me when the helicopter I was in diverted due to cloudiness to Shurke, some distance below Lukla. Nabin proved to be extraordinarily knowledgeable about the Everest region and the trek, giving valuable guidance that I am sure led to my successful completion of the trek. Because of their exemplary customer service, expertise, and deep knowledge of the Everest/Khumbu region, I highly recommend Nepal Gateway for all of your Himalayan trekking needs.

Nepal Gateway truly cared for us during our 2 months in Nepal. Wonderful people!
Just go with Gateway and Ram, you will not be disappointed! We did treks to Langtang Valley, Poon Hill/Mardi Himal and got turned around on our attempt to do Tsum Valley and Manaslu due to severe rains, flooding, slides (national disaster). Older US couple from sea level in Florida. Our 2 months in Nepal were a 70th birthday treat. Ours was a private trip, just us, our guide and porter. Our trekking guide for a month (also Ram) and the porters made this the trip of a lifetime. When the slides ended our Manaslu trek, Ram planned a different trek for us which was wonderful. Gateway also helped us with all our non trek travels to Lumbini, Lower Mustang and Chitwan. Hotels, flights, jeeps and more. Ram from the office kept in touch via WhatsApp our entire stay to make sure we were doing well. You will be treated with true caring professionals and taken care, even when difficulties might arise. We have make lifelong friends of the Gateway people. Call Ram and let him help you plan your trip!

I loved this trek Kanchenjunga north and south base camp
I really loved this trek. The hike was beautiful and incredibly varied. Nepal Gateway were fantastic sorting all the details out for us trekking permits travel arrangements et. They anticipated every eventuality ensuring our journey was smooth and not delayed . We needed three different jeeps on our journey to Taplejung at the start of the trek to enable us to pass landslides and downed bridges everything ran like clockwork Our guide was fab spoke good English took great trouble to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. He constantly looked out and prepared for potential problems. Despite quite extreme conditions at altitude I felt relaxed and safe. This isn’t an easy trek due to the length , altitude and basic tea houses but it felt like a real adventure remote, relatively quiet (we met 10-15 other l per day often the same ones ) fantastic variation from villages to unspoilt jungle to empty snow capped peaks I 100% recommend this company

A well organized remote beautiful trek.
We booked the Kanchenjunga base camp trip with Nepal Gateway online in the UK because it had a lot of positive reviews so we could be sure that it was a genuine company. We arrived at the airport in Kathmandu to be met by our guide BN who has 25 years experience and had done the trek 5 times before. He was great- knowledgable and fun, able to liaise with the locals and organized everything on the trek. This included getting permits in Kathmandu with no input from us, sorting out a replacement porter when ours fell ill and rerouting us when a landslide blocked the route. He was a mine of information about Nepali culture and customs- including giving us tikka on Dashain. We almost cancelled this trip when we heard news in the uk of heavy rain washing out a bridge but the team were able to contact locals on site and work out a change in transport so that we could get through. I was also pleased to see that they are a responsible employer and were concerned for the welfare of our ill porter. Overall they were polite and friendly, well priced and the organization was very good. The trek itself was beautiful. We started at Taplejung which is reached by a flight from Kathmandu and then a day's 4wd drive. Lots of people drive the first part to Sekathum but we really enjoyed walking through small villages and farms and seeing how people live. Higher up it got very cold. Be prepared for sub zero at night. The tea houses are very basic here- sometimes like wooden sheds with hard plank beds with foam covers. There is usually a dining room with a warm stove where you can eat and a light in the room but often no power to charge devices. Take a solar panel. A Kindle is good too as it tends to get dark early. The food is usually quite basic and samey but filling and tasty- dalbhat, Mo-mo. One or 2 places offered pizza and even cake but this was unusual. Beer and Tongpa always available. Might be worth taking chocolate. There were not a lot of tourists doing this trek- we saw about 20 on a busy evening, but few on the route. The walking was not too strenuous. The stages were often short- 4 hours or so- because of the layout of the stops and the need to limit altitude gain each day. However one or 2 days were 12hours and sometimes the path was poor- narrow, eroded and exposed to drops. Views at the North Base camp, Jannu (don't miss the base camp- it's one of the highlights of this trek) and the Selele pass were stunning- high icy faces, glaciers, spindrift. Unfortunately we got fog and snow at the South base camp. The route down through forest along a roaring river again was one of the trek highlights.

Couldn't have asked for better tour company and a better overall experience than this !!
Our tour operator Ram Adhikari did a phenomenal job making our trip very special, memorable, safe and smooth all along. some of the key highlights of Ram are a) prompt communication b) delivering what's promised c) being able to get us out of Lukla both while going and coming back promptly while others were stranded for 2-3 days d) his connections/contacts to get transport/helicopters up and out timely e) providing excellent reliable crew of guides and porters during the trek f) constant communication before, during and after the trek. g) pick up and drop off at airport and hotel h) giving recommendations regarding prep for the trek, things needed, giving regular update regarding weather, especially due to flooding in nepal just a week before our arrival as well several others tips and tricks for making the trek as convenient and feasible as possible. providing water purification tablets etc. Our guides Revantha and Neer were excellent, they did briefing every morning, lunch and dinner, ensured everyone stayed together and safe. Even helped out with bag pack on the way. Ensured adequate fluids were consumed, monitored for signs/symptoms of altitude sickness including pulse ox review in evening. They both had good sense of humor and were very friendly. They knew inside out of the trek like back of their hand, ensured we started daily on time and reached destination at decent time every day getting enough breaks and rest all along and stopping at scenic viewpoints. Our porters Raj, Khemraj, Ekka and Maan were good, ensured our baggage were handled properly. After the trek completion, Ram received us again at airport and treated us to excellent see-off dinner as well as dropping off at airport next morning. The Kathmandu tour prior to starting the EBC trek was also well planned covering Pasupathi Nath temple, durbar square, swayambu mandir, Krishna temple and other key spots. To summarize, we had a great experience, had it not been for Ram's ability of use his connections to get us helicopter ride in timely fashion with weather issues, we would have been stranded for 2-3 days like most other hikers. Ram ensured everything went smooth and sound as planned. Ram is young budding tour operatory with commitment to quality and service, I have already shared his tour company details with my father who plans to use his services , I would not have any hesitation in recommending Nepal Gateway trekking company to anyone. We were recommended his name/tour company by a friend and Ram proved himself more than expected ! Ram has told us he will join us in our next expedition to Annapurna and I am looking forward to making that wish come true :)

Highly recommended company for planning trip to Himalayas!!
An amazing trip to Everest Base Camp with an amazing organizer team. We had a great expedition to Everest base camp through Nepal Gateway Trekking company. Few of the best points about going with them : 1) Very professional 2) Always on time - the guides were there at the said time and said places always 3) knowledgeable. Both Nir & Rewanta (our guides) knew about the areas like back of their hands 4) awesome hospitality and service - they always served us food in the hotel, were prompt in taking our orders for next meal and never messed up 5) Always reachable for any needs like medication or additional blankets etc 6) Good team work within them, one walked with the fastest walker while the other tagged along with the last person walking. Ensured all stayed together. 7) All stay facilities picked were very comfortable and with god food 8) The event coordinator, Ramji, was also very responsive from the day the trip was planned. He guided us well for what to pack and bring and what we get there. 9) They have good alliances with partner companies like helicopter services. Overall, I would highly recommend Nepal Gateway Trekking company to anyone who is planning their trip to the Himalayas.
